Great videos that capture the heart of this oasis of Peninsula cities. I grew up and lived in Burlibgane for 66 years on the same street. There is no place like it. Cost of living is a bit steep but worth it if you can afford the home prices. Very good schools and parks. Great variety if eateries (Copenhagen Bakery was my favorite). Attended Washington Elementary, Burlingame Intermediate and Burlingame High (GO PANTHERS!). Many thanks for the videos. Also, suggest a walk-through of Broadway.
Thank you, David! What a rich history you have in Burlingame. I agree, Copenhagen bakery is fantastic. Glad you’re enjoying the videos! And yes, a walk through Broadway is on my list to do.
Sounds like a terrific small city! I haven’t been yet even though I visit friends in Sat and Mill Balley often. I will check your city out in my next visit!! Fabulous video!! Thanks so much!!
Thank you Christine! We’d love for you to visit. Mill Valley is a fabulous place too and it is also known for its awesome small town feel like Burlingame.
Burlingame is lovely but far too expensive for the average family. And, California as a whole is no longer a nice place to live. We left 5 years ago with no regrets.
Kathleen I totally agree with you - it’s really hard for most people to afford to live around here. I think less than 1% of people in the Bay Area can afford the median home price, and in a spot like Burlingame it’s even more pricey. With so little land, and no height allowed like NYC, it’s not shocking to see why we have these numbers. Thanks for watching!
@@livinginsanmateocountyca BTW, my father and husband grew up in Burlingame. As a child, I spent a lot of time there. My paternal grandmother lived on Primrose Road.
I love that! What a rich local history you have here with your family. Come back and visit sometime - Burlingame Avenue has quite a few new amazing places to eat at 😀 Not only is there classic Copenhagen Bakery but also Backhaus, Caffe Central and Maison Alyzee
