@@Mocha77793 maybe they are the weird ones!!! lol I took up creative planning at the middled of covid when I realized I would be staying home a lot...and it's been great for my mental well being.
I take all my stickers out of their original book/package. I then decide them up by function. If it has multiple types of functions on the page, I put it in the “file” that I would most likely use it in. I have files under the titles: boxes, lists, coffee, seasonal, Wordy, decorations, decorational ~ flower, samples (although this one is getting ready to be redistributed), Icons, budgets, menu planning, etc. I even have 2 files that are named “Always in use 1 & 2” lol. I looked at how most people keep track of their stickers (cuz let’s face it, most of us have a kazillion 😂) & I couldn’t find the ones I needed or wanted. So I finally thought, wait, why don’t I keep track of them by the function that I need them for as I need them… & just have a system in place for them? So that’s what I did. I USE THEM CONSTANTLY NOW! I’ve even got folders for accessories. When the type of function that I have it listed under for each page, has no more on that page… I put that page in the next most likely “function” that I’ll use. The pages are separate but the stickers are now all together. On the other hand, my pages that I have (that are actually opened, I kinda do the same thing. I use some of my extra discs & put all the same “type” together… the big go at the back & the classic is all together & then in the front is the smaller (if I have them in that type of page) ones. Like all the dots go together, all the grid pages go together, the lined ones all go together, the lists ones all go together, etc. It has really cut down on my time trying to find what I need for each planner. I absolutely love it!!! When I tried everyone else’s techniques for organizing stickers etc, it just DID NOT WORK for me. Hope that makes sense!
Yep I’m with you to many sticker books. I reorganized my books to. I haven’t really bought books from happy planner I’m in love with the books from Live Love Posh, Jo jo Amber and Heather
I have just stopped buying so many books. The last few releases I have only gotten one or two. Honestly I am moving more to Live Love Posh and JoJo as it seems each Happy Planner book includes more and more stuff I do not use and they have raised the prices way to much. With sales I used to average 10 dollars a book but now it is impossible to get them for less than 15 a book and that is too much to waste half the book. I am starting also to get more stuff from small shops.
Great video. I try to do this from time to time. It’s often hard to “let go” sometimes but is a necessity with all of the stickers I have. Please keep posting these types of videos appreciate them! 💙💛🪴
I plan on organizing my stickerbooks by brand and type this weekend. I love your idea to do this while I watch a show or listen to a podcast. I use seasonal stickers throughout the year cuz I'm weird. I'll do a summer spread in December when I want to feel warm or a Christmas in July spread. I decorate based on how I feel. Does that make sense?
I like this idea of pairing down and editing. I too feel overwhelmed with the numerous seasonal sticker books, but that’s no one’s fault but my own because of my “I need them all” mentality. 🤦🏻♀️ Maybe once the urge to stop decorating for that season comes I’ll pair down those seasonal books and put the sheets up for sale n
Good idea! I have a lot of Happy Planner sticker books too. I have pretty much stopped buying them because there isn't really any to fit in with my more retro or vintage style. I like that Flora one, have not seen that one.
Desiree 😀 It’s funny that you did this video when you did because I did just that yesterday 😂 after putting it off for a few months because it can be such an overwhelming thing to do, I only had 100 sticker books to go through though that’s enough, I know most planner babes have many many more. it took me 2 days, I put on my favorite t.v show and went to sorting through books, I’m very big on the flowers and word quotes so I kept all of those and packed up everything else to give away. I don’t do planning anymore right now just journaling so I don’t use the extra stuff like bullet points etc. I’m so glad I did this because it’s so much easier for me now to find what i’m looking for Thank God ♥️ for helping me to get it done 🎉 once totally finished I was like I don’t want to even look at another sticker book for a few days! 😂 and since I hardly ever buy sticker books because I had so many This is not something i’ll have to worry about keeping up with Yay!! 👍🏽😆
That floral washi would be super cute in a junk journal spread and tear them up. I have the same issue with a lot of stickers. I have been working on cleaning them up.
That’s why I do this while I’m watching a tv since I’m not doing anything else. In the end it makes it a lot more functional for me when I’m making a spread and going through all of my books. Also it’s something I plan on doing immediately when I get a new book so it won’t be as much work in the future🎉
