@@Lemmi7810 I was being facetious & silly, I have owned boxers my whole life, they are THE best breed! They are also well known for being the “clowns” of the dog world! Lighten up 🐾❤️
I had a consulting client that had two female boxers - they'd always greet me with such enthusiasm that it kind of scared their owners - until I actually got down on the floor and did a play-bow. Everyone went nuts and the owners laughed till they cried. Dogs love it when you play BACK.
Boxers make such good family dogs! I'm on my fourth one and he is the absolute best! Smart and highly trainable. I have a 5 year old daughter and he is gentle with her and takes his guard duty seriously while she plays outside. I love Boxers!
After two boxers I can't imagine having a different breed. But their life span is so short. The candle that burns twice as bright, burns half as long I guess.
My boxer died last year and oh my god I’m shedding a tear typing this out. He meant the world to me I had him since I was 17, I’m 27 now. I’m so glad he got to see my children. He was the greatest soul.
My dad has a boxer that was born with no front legs. He is the goofiest, friendliest dog you ever saw, and he can’t get enough of his little humans(my stepbrother’s kids, ages 5-3.)
A family friend of ours has a Labrador boxer, he was the silliest friendliest dog ever his signature love was to sit on your feet and lean so hard got fell over so he could wrestle and/or snuggle you! He did great with bigger kids most cause he was a bit too excited to be left with younger ones
I grew uo with a boxer, Lincoln. He was a great companion and very patient with me as a baby. I cried for days when he passed away at 11 years old (I was 10 at the time).
I could not AGREE MORE! I knew understood the “boxer thing” until we rescued and were owned by a boxer!😂 We have 2 boxers currently, one is a fully trained Autism Service dog for our 18 year old son. Marshmallow is EXTREMELY intelligent and can sense when anyone is sad or hurting emotionally. He will sweetly ask to go to a person he sensed needs him and I will explain that Marshmallow would love to give them a “big hug”. This is his favorite ask! He will stand up on his legs and place his arms around ones neck and allow them to place their face or head into his massive chest. Marshmallow helps our son in ways my husband & I cannot, nor 15 years of therapy. I highly recommend having a wonderful boxer trained to assist those on the Autism spectrum
Simply the best. Lost my boy Boomer last Friday. The impact these dogs make on your life is remarkable. There is just something about a Boxer. It’s impossible to understand, unless you’ve had the privilege of having one.
I've had several dogs of different breeds over the years but my boxer was undoubtedly the greatest and wonderful with children...and now my daughter is 6 and something of a dog whidperer I'm going to get a boxer and I'm sure they will adore each other.
I have a boxer and she is literally the best! She’s on the older side (6-7) but she’s still super playful! She’s had 3 litters so she’s pretty used to being around other dogs and absolutely LOVES kids. Also, yes she is super stubborn lol (she knows how to sit and how to come to her name but that’s basically it lol) since she’s so old it’s harder to train her, but since she’s pretty calm with people (besides new people) it doesn’t bother us too much! ❤
Had the best boxer ever. She could read my mind and my soul. Never trained her a day in her life, she just knew not to pull on leash and not eat the cat food (that was right next to her food!) Gosh I miss her..not her gas!😜 but she was the best girl ever. She was my soul dog, and I miss her every day, and her big brown eyes..❤🐾
I love boxers, I've had 6. However, I'm reluctant to get another as their life expectancy isn't great. Although we had 1 live to 12 and another 11, we lost 2 at 5. One with a brain tumour, another with kidney failure. Our last died at 8 die to heart failure 😢
My favorite breed. We have 6 in the family. I have the baby of 5 months. I raised his grandparents. Its always fun starting over witj a pup. First two years are definitely tough for someone who isn't active and likes to go on hikes or long walks. I have a daughter whos a year and a half. And Ace my dog loves her to death. They cuddle all day.
They are the best dogs in the world I miss My ex-girlfriend's dog I was with him for 11 years and it's so true there's nothing better you can have the worst day of your life and you come home to that happy Playfuldog.
Yes they love kids and their owners, the best but other adult humans watch out they have to fully trust you and like you best dogs ever my baby boy is six years old still is a two-year-old to me. They are so funny balls of joy and love make sure you walk them a lot and let them run. They love physical exertion and sleep. Oh yeah and food and treats. lol ! Very treat driven ! Great guard dogs too ! The list goes on can’t say enough about them I think I will probably always have one ;)
I’ve had 3 boxers and amazing dogs. This time we went with frenchies, omg they’re like mini boxers, funnier madder and more cuddly! Never looked back ❤
I don't know if you read this but i love your videos. Do you have any information on getting a rescue dog. We are getting a 9yr puddle mix that doesn't like small children. Too late to train?
They are actually very smart, they’re just clowns. Boxers were war dogs and my dad had one in WWII. He wanted to take him when he came home but my mom said no. She didn’t want dogs. Her parents had a rat terrier that chewed her bible, so we missed out. I got my 1st Boxer when I was an adult. My mom changed her mind when she met Earl, our 1st. He was a big boxer and would keep the dogs in line at doggie daycare, if they got too rowdy. ❤️❤️
They are very popular here. They Love their family ALOT. Can have seperation anxiety and tend to be quite vocal. They can get destructive if they dont get enough exercise and mental stimulation. They can be vary of strangers. If trained right from an early age they become great dogs like any other breed.
My favorite breed! 🥰 I think their iq is actually pretty high. They're very smart and can be stubborn but they do want to please. They are absolutely hysterical. I think they know they're funny. 🤣
Boxers are incredibly intelligent. That’s how I’ve always known them. Never heard them described as any different. They can act dumb, but their problem solving is second to none. My boxer is extremely intelligent
I suspect that could be a breeder problem. Ours lived to 13 and 14 and both of them were put down because of their quality of life - they had kidney failure.
I have yet to meet a Boxer that isn't friendly. Even the injured Boxer I met recently at the vet was wagging her tail whenever anyone was walking toward her.
love boxers, but id never own one myself. theyre too high energy for me! also, i think theres a difference in iq between american boxers and uk boxers - my parents lived in america and had a boxer who was smart as a whip. moved to the uk, got another boxer years later who is sweet as anything but dumb as a box of rocks!
I've had to pepper spray two of them, first was a family friend who's boxer ran me down from the other side of their property, the other some asswipe wouldn't put his dog up before answering the door for his pizza, instead tried holding it back with his knee.
What are the differences in characteristics of the XL Bully and a Pocket Bully? Are they both equally aggressive? Or equally as bad around children? a family member of mine has a Pocket Bully who's about 3 years old and they has a baby on the way, should I be more concerned?
Boxer's aren't particularly bad. Other than snoring we never had any problems with ours. They are probably the closest dog to the old English bulldog not the modern one. They don't usually have breathing problems like some of the more extreme examples. I understand that issue with modern bulldogs and pugs etc tho.
It annoys me when dog trainers and “experts” spit out false crap about dog breeds. Boxers are very intelligent dogs and are known as one of the easiest breeds to train despite their high energy.
