In this video, we discuss the somewhat complicated issue of Alaska residency. We go into some detail about how to gain it and keep it. And we cover 7 good reasons to be a bona fide Alaskan. / faroutalaska
It's comments like yours that keeps us motivated. We are trying to pack lots of useful info into the videos but we also crank out some stinkers. We are very busy ppl but we try to put out something decent once in a while. There are many good episodes on the drawing board and as time permits, we will be able to make them. Hopefully there will be more good ones and less stinkers as we grow. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thanks for the great information, and clarification. This can be very confusing, especially with so many programs and restrictions that vary quite a bit. Much appreciated! -Dusty
Greetings from New Hampshire. Thank you for your fine video. You point to many reasons why one might want to establish residency in AK, but not enough about "how to get it." How can one relocating from out of state to an undeveloped off-grid spot in AK establish a mailing and legal address for that location. My understanding is that establishing a new off-grid, undeveloped address in AK can be the most challenging and frustrating part of establishing residency. Would you agree? If you do, can you please consider an other video that informs us about that end of things..?
This video was focused on legal residency for specific purposes. I think you're asking about physical address and perhaps you're over-thinking it. And Im not sure what you mean by "undeveloped off-grid spot". For someone to reside in a spot, it has to be developed to some extent. If it's off the road system, youll need to get a PO Box in town. In our case, we bought undeveloped land on a country road. So we just checked with the nearest Post Office and stuck a mailbox at the end of the driveway.
