I'm aiming to do a long distance longboarding trip this summer/fall. Part of a personal film project I'm working on. I look forward to seeing you talk more about it because there aren't very many content creators doing this sort of thing and it's so interesting. And it will document my journey of getting ready/conditioned for the long distance trip. One of the goals, for the project, is to gather a group of people willing too go on this long distance adventure. Telling a story about creating community and personal growth. @@RecapturingLife crazy! That is perfect timing then. Looking forward to your documentation as well. I told myself, that I wouldn't do it again after the first trip. Then the electric longboard trip was offered to me and now that I'm looking at the footage again, it makes me want to go again :)

I've been wanting to do a long distance trip of some kind for a very long time. Finding the long distance longboarding films ignited a fire of excitement. And I hope you do go on another one. Man, this is hella tempting. I started longboarding to get to places faster and have been teaching myself to push switch. I've always wanted to do a long distance trip without a car and this looks right up my alley. Do you personally know of any women who have done this? I know that things can sometimes get kind of frightening for women on the road.
Hey Kiska, thanks for reaching out :) Sounds like you should really give it a try! Unfortunately, I haven't really heard about any women, who went on longboad trips. But it's not like i know a lot of people who have been on a longboard trips in general. And i guess it can always get scary when you're by yourself out in the middle of nowhere. I was super scared some nights myself. Hopefully you'll find another women who was done it and that can share thoughts with you. Either way you'll be the first women that i know of :)
rivers or camping places was my best bet for washing. I also had different clothes for when i arrived somewhere. I slept in a tent with a blow up mattress and sleeping bag.
Hi👋, ich habe ne lange Frage für dich😊 Mein Name ist Alex,bin 15 Jahre alt und fahre mal gerne ab und zu im Sommer Longboard. Ich habe ein Longboard von Aloikis Longboards. Ich glaube, dass das ein cruiser ist. Auf jeden Fall sind meine Rollen schon ein bizzl kapput und meine Kugellager auch jetzt nicht mehr die besten. Ich finde das Board super, jedoch hat das Board keine kicks[d.h ich kaum kleine Tricks machen(ich will jetzt keine besondern sprünge machen oder so, jedoch einfach irgendwie 180°s auf der strecke machen und surfen und sliden)]. Ich denke darüber nach mir noch ein Board zu holen. Ich fahre gerne mit meinen Freunden am Rhein entlang(also auch gerne mal längere strecken), würde aber auch gerne das Board mit zu schule nehmen. Es sollte recht schnell sein und einigermaßen gut aussehen ☺️. Ich habe viele Videos geguckt, welche longboardarten es gibt. Ich dachte erstmal daran ein Dancelongboard zu holen, jedoch wäre das dann zuuu groß, um es mit in die schule zu nehmen. Ich kann mich irgendwie nicht entscheiden😔. Ich will mit dem Longboard längere strecken fahren(5-10km)(soll auch gut rollen und nicht extrem weh tun, wenn ich über ("flaster" bzw. Steinweg fahre)), ez mit in die schule nehmen können(soll nicht ganz klein sein(mag es auch, wenn es größer als ein skateboard ist, nohomo😂), da ich Schuhgröße 45 habe)(ich hole mir dann noch ein Longboard-sakteboardrucksack) und ich will damit ein paar kleine tricks machen können(surfen und sliden). Bitte hilf mir bei der beratung😥 Mein Budget liegt bei 100- max. 200€. Ich würde dir sehr danken🤗. Schick mir gerne ein paar links zu longboard-"arten", die du meinst, die passen könnten, falls es für dich nicht zu aufwendig ist. Bleib gesund!
Hey dude, danke dass du mir zutraust dich beraten zu können 😄 Ich bin jetzt kein Verkäufer in Sachen Longboards und habe auch nur begrenzt viele Longboards gefahren aber ich denke, dass ich trotzdem eine Antwort für dich habe. Grob gesehen suchst du das perfekte Longboard, welches es leider so nicht gibt. Klein, leicht, schnell, zum sliden und für tricks gut, lang genug und weich um über pflaster steine zu kommen, usw.. Das alles in einem Board zu kombinieren ist halt nicht wirklich machbar. Sonst hätte ich es wahrscheinlich schon 😁 Du solltest dir überlegen, welche Sachen dir am wichtigsten sind. Zum Sliden brauchst du härtere Rollen. Ich hatte mir mal welche gekauft, kam aber nie dazu das sliden wirklich zu üben und somit habe ich sie nie benutzt. Das Gegenteil davon: Cruisen auch bei rauem Asphalt und die Möglichkeit über Pflaster zu fahren. Das kannst du nur erreichen wenn du weiche Rollen hast und ein längeres Board (je länger das Board desto leichter über Kansteine, Pflaster, Steinchen, etc.). Dann zu den Tricks, wie häufig willst das Longboard für tricks benutzen oder ist es nur nice to have. Falls du dir eins für tricks suchst, kann ich dir nicht viel sagen, da ich selbst kaum tricks mit dem longboard kann. Aber wahrscheinlich sollte es leicht sein und eine Kante haben zum poppen, wei beim ollie. Ich habe das Problem so gelöst, dass ich Tricks mit meinem Skateboard geübt habe und das Longboard zum transportieren. Also manchmal mit dem Skateboard auf dem Rücken zum Skatepark usw. Wenn du mehr Style fahren willst, wäre vielleicht ein Pintail Board ganz nice. Und von der Größe her musst du halt wirklich selbst schauen, weil ich nicht weiß wie groß du bist. Aber ein kleineres Pintail wäre bestimmt gut zum cruisen, vielleicht sliden und tricks sind bestimmt auch drin. Sieht nice aus (wegen der Surfboard Form) und dancen geht fast auf jedem board, wenn du dich gut anstellst :) Ansonsten vielleicht ein drop-through longboard, zum sliden und längere Strecken. mit etwas größeren und weicheren Rollen als das Pintail. Das wären so meine Vorschläge. Hoffe Ich konnte dir weiterhelfen. Stay safe und happy riding! BTW. Übe sliden zunächst auf nem Skateboard. Ist so schon schwer genug 😬

Ich gucke mir jetzt mal das Board an, was du meintest. Ich bin dir sehr dankbar, allein für die Antwort. 🤗 Ich bin 180cm groß und wiege 74kg. Ich habe das sliden auf dem skateboard probiert und das geht auf jeden Fall einigermaßen viel basser als auf meinem jetzigen/ersten Cruiser Longboard, was ca. 120-160cm lang ist und 83A (70 * 51mm glaub ich) Rollen hat, jedoch traue ich mich nicht mit viel Geschwindigkeit in den Slide zu gehen. Hier im zentralen Düsseldorf gibt es auch keine besonderen Hügel oder gar Berge😂. Ich übe einfach so tricks, um ein bisschen was meinen freunden zu zeigen, jedoch traue ich mich nicht immer, da ich schiss habe mich zu verletzen XD, vor allem in der jetzigen Situation darf das nicht passieren, da die Ärzte so schon viel zu tun haben. Zwar wohne ich nicht weit weg von meiner Schule, jedoch würd ich schonmal gerne mein Longboard mit zur schule nehmen, jedoch ist das ca. 150cm lang😂, da sehe ich aus wie ein Idiot, was mir nichts ausmacht. Ist aber auch nicht so transportfähig. Ich will nicht ein komplett kleines Board(soll größer als ein skateboard sein). Wenn ich mich zwischen cruisen und sliden entscheiden müsste, dann würde ich eher cruisen wollen. @@jblwavessurfer9279 Super gerne! Vielen Dank fürs abbonieren:) Dein jetztiges Board spielt natürlich auch ne Rolle. Wenn es super lang es und gut für Strecke ist, kannst du ja eins holen, welches es kürzer ist. Gibt da echt ganz schicke pintails. Ist natürlich auch geschmackssache. Vielleicht kannst du ja beide boards so aufrüsten, dass du alle Bereiche abdecken kannst :) Viel Erfolg weiterhin!
Hey Andrei, I used the bearings as I have bought them. I think that would be oil. I went with a spare set of bearings for rainy days but the choice of the bearings didn't seem to have a big impact anyways. The "shitty" bearings of the rainy days were almost equal to the 80€ bearings I had bought for the trip.
@@ARTVENTUREFILMS Thanks for the response. I've heard you say in one of your other videos that bearings don't make much of a difference, given rough road friction, wind drag and other factors will slow you down more.
