Why You Should NEVER Use The Marksman And Mage Emblem!

Eudora with the assassin emblem is hell for the enemies, especially with the right talents. Yeah she's still squishy but one combo can kill the enemies squishy heroes in a blink of an eye.

11:53 Each point of fixed Physical Penetration Lesley acquires is converted into 0.5% Critical Damage, but her base Critical Damage is reduced to 140%.

Tip: Killing Spree for Karina is just nothing.. edit: *rupture, weapon master, impure rage* try it..

I pretty much agree with the mage emblem however there's a little bit of a mistake in the Marksman emblem category that even I made when I first looked at it. He states that one of the stats in the Marksman emblem are 5 FLAT adaptive attack. However if you look closely it's actually 5% which is actually the MOST adaptive attack that ANY of the emblems give you. Now does this make it viable or not viable that's up to you guys to decide (I think it does for at least a few especially if ur hero needs a lot of attack damage and attack speed cuz yes as he states the attack speed boots also give u 15% but if u have both they STACK) but I just thought I would point this out that it does have the most adaptive attack, plus the 15% attack speed and 5% life steal. Hope this helps.

Common emblem better than Support emblem for Cecilion. Hybrid Regen is just too good. No need to buy Demon Boots at early game. Get 2 of your core items first before buying Boots. It helps you get stacks way faster. I managed to reach 200 stacks on Cecilion in the 7mins mark. The Hybrid Regen can also maybe affect Cecilion's regen in his Ult but I'm not too sure.

If you use starlium scythe on a mage hero, the mage emblem fits well because of the added magic damage (ex. zhask, lunox)

I like how Fwyd really said in his emblem tier list to never use Basic Common Emblem yet it is regarded one of the most versatile in the META especially the mana hungyr heroes

If marksman emblem had better stats like removing the useless af lifesteal and replace it with Crit chance and base adaptive attack (like 10-20) maybe it would be good. If mage emblem had 10% CD reduction like support emblem and a little more penetration maybe it would also be good. There could also be a problem that assassin emblem is too good in general...

i already use common emblem for cecillion and let me tell you, as a support main, my jaw dropped when you mentioned the support emblem

9:15 SMH. MISINFORMATION. Marksman Emblem provides +5% (PERCEEEEEEENT) adaptive attack, meaning it scale for LATE GAME like most MARKSMAN do. That lifesteal and aspd also scales for late game since the better your items are, the better those stats become, like most MARKSMAN do.

We should be thank full for MLG for making so many guides for us and so consistently. Before when we had to learn hero mechanism specifically it was way harder. So as a returning player, i am very thankful for your service.

Basic emblem for roamers is very useful especially for Diggie, Rafaela and Faramis. I don’t need to build Enchanted Talisman for mana, and focus on more defense or utility items.

Interesting. I used to think Lesley would still benefit from MM emblem as penetration does her no good. But after actually doing the bot test myself i came to realise the actual damage difference. I shall show the numbers below based on the following build: Endless battle, Berserker's fury, BoD x 3, max level on damage bot MM emblem w/o items: passive hit: 486 regular shot: 249 first skill shot: 669 2nd skill + regular shot: 910 Total: 2314 MM emblem with full build: passive hit: 1894 regular shot: 922 first skill shot: 2749 2nd skill + regular shot: 2426 Total: 7991 Assassin emblem w/o items: passive hit: 511 regular shot: 249 first skill shot: 439 2nd skill + regular shot: 748 Total: 1947 Assassin emblem with full build: passive hit: 1908 regular shot: 889 first skill shot: 2875 2nd skill + regular shot: 3185 Total: 8857

@ML Guide The Marksmen Emblem is the only one that gives %5 adaptive attack... All other emblems are flat rated emblems. I didn't notice that at first either. I still do think some work better with ass emblem though.

The Mage emblem should have a 10% Mana Regen and Replace the useless Penetration to Movement speed since Magic damage heroes already do more damage in early game

Fun fact: The adaptive attack from Marksman Emblem is not a flat number rather it's percentage number, but still not recommended tho.

In my experience of using eudora she was actually scary using an assasin emblem because it deals damage much higher. But I don't use lethal iginition I prefer using impure rage (depending on the situation ofc). Impure rage is good when paired with lightning truncheon because the damage outputs are separated and when paried with dire hit you can 1 hit an enemy moskov using her 2nd skill because her 4 different damage outputs. If someone doesn't understand what damage outputs its basically how the total damage from a skill is distributed. For example I I'm using a assasin emblem with impure rage, arcane boots paired with dire hit, COD and LT. She will have 4 damage outputs 1 from the impure rage, 1 from the dire hit, 1 from the LT and the last is from the 2nd skill (Only using 2nd for reference in the early game. Ofc eudora kryptonite is athena sheild but athena shield can only counter single burst damage (consiting of only 1 damage output in a skill) but athena sheild can effectively counter splash burst damage (my own defenition of having multiple damage outputs in a single skill) that why eudora can 1 hit a marksman. Not to mention the buff she reccive which can spam her skills faster and the Blood wings adjustment that can improve her movement speed as heck.

Dps mages: Mage or assassin emblem (it can vary cuz some mages have high ap scaling) but assassin is generally better in most cases. Utility Mages: Support emblem. Gives 10% cdr with movement speed. Basically gives u free cdr boots so u can build another boot (like magic pen or def) and the movement speed let’s u rotate faster.

the healing effect on support emblem doesn't heal you but it increases the heal when you heal your teammates like rafaela heal and estes heal on his allies

CMIIW but doesn't the marksman emblem give you percentage adaptive attack and not base adaptive attack which would make it scale better in the late game?

Please check the attributes when you use assasin emblem as a mage. When i check mine, it boosted my physical penetration to 15 n my magic penetration did not increase

Ever since they removed the movement speed from both emblem, they weren't even close to decent anymore

I saw a video of a tank Layla where they use tank emblem with tenacity and firmness on I tried it with Lesley and holy it was fun used physical boots instead of atk speed since most enemies were physical attackers anyways

With the nerf of Divine Glaive, Assassin emblem is now much better than mage emblem because it give so much raw magic pen and movement speed.

Been playing julian mainly because of my jujutsu skin but still wonder what is the best build for him as exp or jungle, personally i add crit items and atk sp items so yeah, wonder if u can give me some advice

I still prefer Assasin emblem on Cecil, building LT first + assn embl gives a huge boost to cecil's damage early game that sets up a domination (if your team is not headless chickens :D). ps global 20 cecil.

Marksman Emblems for me is still useable, But I Agree with the Mage emblems I've never use it ever since because of lack damage in Late game.

But... isn't malefic roar a percentage stats not raw points of physical pen? so it doesn't really increase the crit dmg tho... anyways I still use mm emblem for the 5% adaptive attack on lesley since pen doesn't really works if you just keep hitting enemies with your passive

Even if they buff the mage emblem to 50 magic power, I won't be surprised if players would still opt for Assassin emblem. A hero has to have good scaling in order to maximize the magic power given by mage emblem, so it's kind of a bit ignored. Aside from the magic power, the other stats are so lackluster that it's weird that it made it to release that way. If they're planning to make the Mage emblem sort of a utility route, they could give it some good CDR or MS or even mana regen to make it more worthwhile. It's ironic that the Common emblem got placed low in the tiers of some creators since it gives "meh" stats. I actually tunnel-visioned on the possibilities of the +15 hybrid regen and just ignored the other stats. Fast forward to now, Uranus is even getting a nerf in the Advanced Server because of the Common emblem and the Common emblem itself is getting some tone-down too.

Hey MLG I have just tried your cecilion and it was a complete FAIL the healing effect didn't help me much especially in a situation when I faced an assissan like harly I managed to avoid death in the game but normally I do that while playing cec The big problem is his early and mid game damage output. his capability to clear minions is severely affected which in return requires more hits and more mana consumption ( a never ending cycle ) that put my team in bad situations in early to mid team fights even damage to enemy heroes wasn't as the magic emblem but I have no numbers for that -you could feel it by experience- I assume thinking of a cec as a sustainable hero is not the best of ideas and criticising magic emblem in that situation is some sort of bias Currently Im a mythic player I had + 50 matches playing cec + 1500 matches playing mages in general maybe more My stats with cec was + 180 staks by 8 mins And + 230 staks by 13 mins + 8k gold and 3 items by 9 mins I was playing solo classic match I was on the losing side Hopefully you will realise my comment and test it yourself

It's so funny that the emblems are dead but there talents are top tier in the meta like lethal ignition and weapon master

I use assaassin emblem for Valir because Valir's burn doesn't scale with magic power but rather scales with enemy's % max HP so penetration is benefitial for him combine it with glowing wand which also scales with enemy's % current HP including every ticks of his passive can trigger the scorch from glowing wand plus Divine Glaive if the enemy tank is stacking Magic Defense, so he's not just only effective against tanks but he is also very aggressive early game, he can snowball and he doesn't need any expensive items such as Blood Wings and Holy Crystal since you scale early game from high base damage and using flat penetration (although Glowing Wand is a bit more expensive than Holy Crystal but Lightning Truncheon is the substitute for Glowing Wand (LT for one shot type of mage like Eudora/ if there's no enemy tank use LT instead of GW)), but I use Mage Emblem if I use a Mage with higher % magic power scaling, Mages that uses Blood Wings and Holy Crystal, Mages that scales late game (Combine it with Weapon Master that gives additional 5% of your total magic power from Emblems and Items), with shields, such as Oddette and if you want to clear waves better as magic power is good against minions over penetration, and i also use this for mages that spams long range abilities like gord and Aurora since it has CDR and and they both benefit from raw magic power since they have higher scaling, and also, I kind of wish that they keep the mana (not mana regen) on Basic Common Emblem as I stack mana if I want to increase the damage of LT passive since it scales with % max mana combine it with Clock of Destiny, LT itself has max mana, and Fleeting TIme and it's up to you what to build the rest of the thre remaining slots (and optional if you want to add defensive item such as Dominance Ice as it also has mana) and since Cecilion has skills that scales with % max mana, this build could benefit him, having 5-10% and 1.2% total mana is a lot for beefiest Mana like a beefiest HP and if you ran out of mana easily in the laning phase the Life Drain can restore the mana since it scales with 1.5% max mana plus with 3% HP for survivability of enemy mage poke. and also for Marksmen Emblem, I think it's still useful as it gives innate attackspeed, attackspeed is the Marksmen's waveclear power (only for Marksmen who relies on basic attacks to deal damage), as much as Mage's waveclear power lies on raw magic power, especially if you have longer basic attack range like Layla you want to be spamming a lot if you're long range and if you have medium range you need more movement speed instead, I guess the two emblems that are considered useless are also have in common which has waveclear power, but when it comes Claude since he doesn't rely on crit but instead he relies on On Hit Effects, then you can use other emblems if you want survivability you can use basic emblem for its bonus HP like stated in this video, but you can also use Assassin Emblem since Claude is shortish range he can benefit from the movement speed from this emblem and also the On Hit Effect can benefit from the flat penetration since DHS scales with the enemy's % current HP like the Glowing Wand.
