I have the 690 enduro r and it’s been great fun. The aftermarket is very good for these bikes. I’ve done a yoshimura r77 slip on, Rottweiler fueling dongle, twin air foam filter, sas removal, Scott’s damper with brp rubber mounted risers, t-Rex crash bars, wider pegs and the gas cap. I wanted a bike that I could get back into the trails with but could ride there instead of trailering. I chose the 690 enduro r and couldn’t be happier with my decision. Enduro or Supermoto they truly are amazing machines 👍
1. This is one of the easiest bikes to work on yourself, a lot of videos out there. 2. bike can be lowered. 3. fairing kits available. 4. good resale value 5. great components
I'm 169cm and do just fine on my 690. Ride height should not be a problem if you know how to ride. The 2017 has a gear indicator and a tachometer. Oil changes are something you should easily be able to do yourself. They are super simple, even with dual oil filters. I broke my back 10 years ago and had 3 separate multi-level spinal fusion. My whole back is titanium and supermotos are some of the only bikes I can comfortably ride. I do agree for long haul, multi day highway riding it's not great. But it's not really made for that. Reason 4 I agree with. It's not as nimble as a pure SM but the service intervals are far better.Top speed is around 200kph so your will be fine in 95% of group rides. Great video though man. I love the content.
Good points man! Of course everything I mentioned can be remedied or might not be a big deal for everyone. In fact, for me most of it is not such a big deal either. Even with the seat, like I said I do long tours and don't care if it hurts a little because I too know that this is how supermotos are made, So yeah I get you but for some people (especially more casual riders who don't know much about supermotos or don't do much work on their bikes) this might be different. With the top speed, it's true you can be that fast but I would never enjoy riding with a bunch of sports bikes on the highway with this bike and neither with touring bikes. I go 130kph on the highway for longer distances if I have to because everything else isn't really doable for more than maybe 30min. But of course man aalll of this is pretty subjective so really appreciate your comment. it helps everyone get a better picture. Also glad that you like the content! Feel free to write in the comments what else you would like to see at any point. :)
@@bklf202 yeah totally agree with you dude. I would not like to spend hours on the highway on my 690. I do ride with sports bike riders, but usually in the twisties. I would love to see a video on all the different places you have taken your 690. They are a pretty versatile bike IMO. Cheers for the message back mate and keep up the vids 👍🏻
These bikes are best purchased as an ENDURO (plated) and ridden with a SuMo Kit for around town hooliganism and bike nights. 2 bikes in 1. Make sure you have other bikes for your other needs. Nothing better then a 50+ year old wheelieing a dirt bike down a busy city street then pounding some Pints at the local watering hole
Also they do cost a lot of money but also hold there money real well compared to most other bikes, try and find a good cheap used 690 🧐, I do like your points but there are 2 sides to the coin that your followers should be aware of
Hahaha. I tried finding a good cheap 690 b4 buying my 2022 and yea that doesn't happen any good ones from last few years were like 1,000-2500 less than new and u still don't really know how that bike was broken in 🤷. So I went new and haven't once regretted it!
good point, I should have mentioned how well they hold their money! Maybe the community can upvote your comment here so everyone ends up reading it. I did also make a video on the top 5 reasons why you should get the 690 btw in case you think I am just bashing on the negatives here ;) good point though! Thanks for the reminder.
I have bike shop in Cheltenham England, Yes they hold there money well. Plenty other bikes with better build quality but KTM have the name, they sell within weeks and more or less for what you paid for it. If your going to ride for more than an hour a day I would have the 701 as even with comfort seat it’s not the best.
I have one 690 too and have 174cms and isnt too bad the height, i had a mt-07 before and legs got tired because got crouched, she is for sure tall but light. It is expensive for sure to buy one but sadly no equivalent bike for someone that enjoy supermotos and ride a lot. I had a CRF and did 25 oils changes in 2 years and 3 months, so the KTM is not that expensive. Tires are 160 so normally cheaper than a 180 of a naked. A mitas rear tires plus install is like 130/150€. The reservoir oem covers are for sure crappy for a expensive bike like this. I bought a used oem seat and replaced the cover and foam and works much better now. A cyclist paded shorts will help. Another grips help too. Lithium battey and exhaust would help a little in the weight loss. For sure this bikes need a gear indicator for wheelies mainly. If you ride with friend that have nakeds is doable. Mine is shorten transmission and can be at 160 in the motorway nicely. In twisties this bike is a nightmare for supersports and nakeds. Motorway is just for supersports, even for nakeds is boring.
I agree with pretty much all of that. Covered some of the points in my previous video on why you SHOULD get the 690. So yes you are totally right. Thanks for sharing your experience with the seat height as well! Wish there would be more choice for supermotos on the market like the ones by KTM. For now gotta hand it to KTM for still making these bikes (and engines) in the first place. For that alone it is worth paying the price. But you gotta love supermotos otherwise it’s not worth it I would say.
I find my 690 fits into the riding groups the BEST, as it works in all situations. If im riding with touring bikes, sure they can go 240 KMH for 1 minute, but then they come to a twisty section and they cant go as quick as the 690. If im riding with small Enduros and Motocross bikes, they can usually keep up, and I dont feel the need to be as agile as them, as Im not a stunt rider, just a casual trickster. If im riding with adventure and offroad riders, I can take the 690 on dirt and gravel with ease, as it has the same riding style, just without the grip unless I fit different tyres. So I run a motorcycle group with 670 members, and there's only like 3 riders who I seriously feel outpaced by, but an experience and confident rider on a 690 can do everything that the other bikes do!
You shouldn't lose your warranty for servicing it, maintaining it elsewhere...once you start altering the bike maybe...I never go to a dealer, I've worked at a few dealers, there's always a 40% uplift on any business you do with them, always go private 👊🏼
This goes with any dealership for cars or bikes.. I've worked in a £40,000,000 BMW dealership, and seen better service in a backstreet garage. I've got mates who worked in a £100,000,000 mercedes building near me with a massive spinning Merc badge on the roof. Never be fooled by that, all that glamour is to sell bikes / cars, the service is often worse because those companies pay their staff peanuts.
So , if you walk on the wild side , your a rebel , your 5' 6' or above you should buy the bike .. Their is a link that will allow you to lower the bike with a compromise of shock travel .. The Seat concepts XL seat is one of the best seats for an enduro I have ever sat on .. The XL is good for long rides so adventure touring is now on the table .. The the small petrol tanks are now 3.6 US Gal .. Should have been 5-5.5 at least to give the bike some range .. No issues here as I use two rear quick release side mounted 6 liter takes on both sides in the rear which allows me to almost double the range while keep in the CG lower than with a top mounted front saddle bag like tank .. I have also opted for the Rade Garage under the seat tank & airbox to further extend the range .. Upgrading the pipe to the Tekmo & the Yoshimura exhaust gives me 5 mpg better gas mileage with less back pressure from the Yoshi Pipe .. Remapped the fuel with the addition of a fuel air sensor dongle to richen up the mix a the lower end so the engine doesn't run as hot .. Changed the thermostat because the one KTM put in makes the bike run to hot .. After getting the ECU reflashed / mapped & dyno'ed , their are no unpredictable surges in the throttle as caused by the decrease in sensitivity of the O2 Sensor .. Love the Mitas e-07 dakar tire in the rear , this tire is near indestructible .. I have Motoz dual venture front & love that tire .. I'm running tubeless on front & back .. KTM clutch slave was crap replaced it with the Oberon .. The exhaust note isn't critical to most folks .. I have only found two rear cans actually that have authority .. The Yoshi pipe is a head turner .. It is loud but without a RPM gauge the sound for me works better .. Who doesn't like the quick shifter on the bike ? .. This puts the bike in another class ..
@@bklf202 The reason why I believe 690 is so good is that the bike is nimble but well mannered .. You can put around but you can also hammer the throttle & it feels predictable .. I got the O2 Dongle which made an amazing difference in the throttle response .. I got the Tekmo header pipe & the Yoshimura exhaust can .. The Yoshi exhaust note is a head turner ! ..
Nice video, thanks so much, great observations. Not to nit pic, but i feel i have to pick you up on something. out of the three bikes you reference, if your weights and hp figures are correct. The 690 has the best power to weight ratio... 0.2355 for the 125, for the 450, its 0.326 for the 690 its 0.3495 kw/kg.
Love this kind of nit picking! I did mix up dry and wet weights though so some numbers are off a little. Would be nice to see the calculations with the correct numbers though cause it might be very similar.
Wow 1st service 300+ euro 👀 mine was 230$ U.S. and I thought that was crazy expensive but I feel with paying 14k$ U.S. that they should include a little with that price but I am still beyond happy with the bike Would b nice to hear about your mods! I went with slip on 1st and in process of getting seat now but wish I would've done that 1st for sure Also u got a new SUB here bro
@@pnw6139 they do 1st oil change (supposedly they do a inspection of oil 🤷) tighten my chain, and check any moving parts (tires, swingarm etc) and I think that's all but I could of missed a thing or 2
Anyone buying a 701 or a 690 already know all of this. You don't buy a supermoto and expect to pay like a Honda 80. Anyone want a cheap bike get a drz 400sm. And nobody gets a supermoto for confort 🤣🤣🤣
The video is intended for people who don’t know this yet. I am sure there are people out there who are new to the world of sm. Especially those considering the 690 as their first bike.
Thanks for the review. I read somewhere that the 690 has an issue with the crank or some manufacturer defect with the engjne? Is that true? Love this bike thanks for the vid man ❤
Biggest reason not to buy is you can get a low km used Duke 690R which is a better on the road, only 10kg heavier a lower seat height and cost about a 1/3 of the price and still has that aggressive super motard feel just a little more refined and better at high speed. And if you want something that's newer then there's always the Husqvarna Spartpian 701. Also if you want something for off road and on road, just get the KTM 690 or Husqvarna 701 Enduro with 50/50 tyres.
I have a 2007 690. I have no plans to part with it but I think the same thing that I'd get a duke next before I payed the premium for another supermoto
There's no way you can flick a Duke around like you can this bike. I had four Dukes, a 200 , 390, 890, and 1290. Nothing is more nimble than a dirt bike with street tires.
@RayzGarage Yeah I guess it depends on what speed you're doing. 60mph and under, yes, you are right but the Duke has a better high speed stability. Also, the Duke 690R compared to regular Duke 690 has a taller seat and ride height as well as a more aggressive seating and peg position that makes it a bit more flickable then the regular Duke Also I have Michelin Power GP tyres on the front on mine, so that helps it feel a bit more nimble, but yeah, it's no 450 SMR. It would be so cool if those could be road registered.
There is no comparison between Bias tyres (21") ana radial Tyres (17"). The difference in performance in any lean, especially high lean is chaotic on road. If you want just to ride some dirt roads but be fast on road, SMC R is way better. If you ride serious enduro and you want an easy way there, get an enduro. If you are a casual rider that does not go fast on tarmac or dirt roads, why even bother about a 690...
Im 165 cm with short legs, and I have no problems with my 690 height! Sure, its a handful to move around while sitting on the bike trying to park or whatever. But normally you just move off the seat when you stop. Normal servicing is NOT expensive. A service for brakes, oil, and valve clearance only cost me $600 AUD. The rear tyre is only $300 to $400 AUD, and you can save $50 by taking the wheels off yourself. You don't go to the dealer for tyres, you go to a tyre shop. It IS comfortable, more comfortable than a Ninja or GSXR. I ride mine for up to 14 hours in a day, 1000 KM. One weekend I rode 3500 KM in 4 days and was still not as sore as my friends on a Triumph Street, and Ducati ST4S. I love how much FUN the 690 is, and I mainly ride twisties, but also long distance, and I still arrive with more smiles on my face than my friends, because I had crazy more fun getting there. The weight is so light and the bike is VERY responsive in acceleration, braking, and leaning., I don't really use it for SM stuff, but its very capable!
600aud for service? that's really cheap. i guess it depends where you live. here in norway my 10 000Km service cost me 6000nok/862aud and i had a offer from another dealer at 10043nok ( 8385nok if valves didn't need adjusting ). it's stupid expensive and if the service isn't done at the dealer the guarantee will disappear.
They cost a lot of money , as you say for a reason. It’s an epic bike. As for the speedo. I hardly ever look at mine. Just ride it to its max and you’ll be rewarded handsomely.
yep def for a reason and I agree that it's worth it otherwise I would not have bought the bike ofc. So yea totally get you. But still worth mentioning that it is quite expensive. I think you do really need to like supermotos to be willing to pay the price. And yea gear indidcator would only be useful for wheelies but also don't care at the end of the day just kinda suited the content of the video to complain a little ;)
89 seat height, not 85. Just bought my second. I am 167 cm. No problem. Just add an extra shoe sole in your boot and you’ll be fine. The bike does’nt weight so much. Best bike I ever had.
I had a few false neutrals and impossible to find the actual neutral , 2k on it now and hasn't happened in the last 3 or 4 rides ... teething pains mabe
It’s 147kg weight and top speed of around 120mph, they are a very naked bike that don’t have much comfort but wow mines so much fun on the twistys, I prefer the 6000 miles service compared to the competition ktm 450 etc like you mentioned as they need servicing far to regular for most peoples liking including myself, do yourself a favour and fit the tekmo front pipe,Sas delete and fit dynojet power commander with Rottweiler induction kit SHE WILL SOON WAKE UP 😂👍
hahahaha thanks! You are making me seriously consider it but here in Germany the police can be quite strict unfortunately and might take your bike off the road for a while if they see you make those changes.. but it would turn the beast into a whole other beast I am sure!
Then what should I go for? I'm 24 years old, planning to get at least A2 category if not full A cat, and was thinking of getting one of these. What should I consider buying? Also sorry for being a newbie but if I buy 690 enduro, and want to go ride supermoto, can I just change the weels or do I have to change some adapters for braking? Maybe different suspension setup IDK? Thanks in andvance
As far as I know it is possible to change enduro r into supermoto just by changing wheels but only saw that on older models. One option is always just to change tires depending on how heavy to tend to go on the off-road. Gravel roads will do just fine. I would still recommend this bike for your A license but would make sure to get it with full warranty and insurance. Another option would be converting an EXC. then you can go off road as well and they are more reliable on my experience
I am 169cm 28/29inc inseam and I'm tippy-toeing on Husqvarna 701 sm without any problem. In fact bike is so stable you can ride it with one foot without any problem when you get used to it. My model is 2021 and it has speed indicator. For previous models you can buy them off-market, I don't think they are very expensive. I don't think warranty cares about tire change. Rest of the stuff is pretty much on point. I have question for powerpart seat. Is it worth the money, is it more comfortable then stock on? (I am from Europe so no Seat concept for me)
Yes I have heard that more often now that the seat height is not such a big deal for most people. That’s actually good to hear 👍 With the PP seat I would say it was worth it but you also should not expect too much. It’s not softer just more ergonomically shaped. In my case it helped it a lot but I can imagined that it also depends on the rider. So short answer is yes I would recommend it but if you have the chance def test ride it.
@@bklf202 thx for the info. Also you can go up and down with seat height for a few cm without changing motorcycle ergonomics. Mine is obviously at lowest point, maybe you can up it a bit that will suit you more regarding your height.
There actually not that expensive to maintain. I'd never do dealer even if new. I'm away to get one this weekend 2020 plate all done and modified and like above they hold there value for sure.
how can warranty be voide by doing you own tyre change? its easy as hell to swap tyres, unless you have your thumb in the middle of the hand. also oil changes can be done, BUT i wouldnt skip the service intervals at the dealership though, thats what voids yoiur warranty. on these bikes you can do pretty much yourself without being ruined(unless you have your thumb in the middle of the hand, if u have u will be punished automatically, and thats because if you are a man you are supposed to be able to do those things :D)
im 5'1" definitely on the shorter end of the spectrum XD and my stock 701sm is fine with me yeah i tip toe always but its like that on any dirtbike style bike and you just get used to it. its an amazing bike and its definitely not too tall if i feel good on it but it not a street bike so gotta keep in mind its gonna be taller because the style of bike.
At first I though this was a **hating on KTM** video and didn't click on it because. Afterward, you've made excellent points! Im still gonna buy it, rode on a 640 LC4 Enduro before but got hit by a car and the bike was total :( Can't wait till i'm fully recovered and ready to buy a new one. I got extra money for insurance now and I believe this bike is worth being broke for 😂
3:40 plz don't tell anyone that it pricey, because it's not! if you lucky enough to get it for mspr - you probably get it almost for free _( not to mention your higher level of living etc. )_ someone has to pay for it $16-22k with $40-60k of year revenu
Very reliable, 3 of my buddies have a 690, never had issues with it. We mainly stunt with them and sometimes go for some twisties. Good reliable bike imho.
That’s the list price but the dealerships always drop the price quite a bit and on top of that I bought this one (2020 model) when the 2021 was already out.. so it was a really good deal as well :)
Yeah, and the stupid thing is. I just bought MT 07 and i already wanna sell it cus i got in love with the 690 and 701. But i already did so many upgrades and i will be in such a big lose if i sell it now :(...
@@bklf202 my dealer wouldn't budge even a dollar. I paid 14K u.s. and I even paid cash no finance. But the SMC R is actually kind of rare here in the states. My dealer had no left overs and wasn't getting any more this year I got there only one
@@22smcrrider96 man that's a steep price but yea if demand is high and supply is low.. well you can't really blame the dealer. Most important is that you got the damn bike! haha
I'm thinking about getting a KTM 690 as my first bike, but A2 restricted (prob gone remove it tho :) ) seems like a really fun bike. The main reason for getting the A2 license is for me to use it to get to school and back home. Takes around an hour in total and I would say almost 80% of the road are highways. Also to have some fun riding after school and with friends. Currently riding a KTM 125 duke and I'm soon 18. Do you think its a buy or pass? also im not buying a new 690 im prob gonna buy a 2014 model
If it’s 80% highway I would think about an adventure bike from ktm or think about installing a wind shield on the smc r but that looks a bit shitty and you obvs wanna look dope when you arrive at school ;) for having fun with friends after school it’s ideal and in general I would recommend the smc r as the most fun bike you can probably get with an A2 but you need to know that it sucks with the wind on the highway.. if you can live with it get it! Also I would think about keeping it restricted because the power ist still great and then you can look forward to opening it later..
Going from a 125 Duke to an open 690 is a bit munch I think. Trust me the limited 690 will feel incredible compared to the 125 :) just my 2 cents, you can do what you want ofc
@@bklf202 Aight thanks for the feedback! The only thing that concerns me is about the wind and I've been thinking about it. At first I looked at getting a MT07 which prob suits the highway better and to school, but it's just something about the 690 thats special :). We'll see!
Thanks! I have experience on the 450 and 125 since I have an enduro background and used to ride theirs supermoto versiones as well. Maybe an idea for a future motovlog :) and the drz400 is a true legend, nice ride!
5:18 because of low weight and power - your tyre last lot longer than others and oil amount is smaller to plus one cylinder is 2x-4x cheaper to maintain than others just think about it.. there is so much proffit! but because it's a ktm and not jap rubbish - maintenance is really easy, so you can do it by yourself
Thanks! And ver very true. Although I kind of got used to it. I find that if I pay attention to really pushing it through I don’t get false neutrals but you for sure gotta get used to it and it’s quite clunky.
@@bklf202 yeah i heard switching to an other gear lever could help with it too because its really sensative but i found that on a forums by looking on google from a guy that knew a guy that knew a guy with a ktm 690 smc r not even my model 🤣
On my 2022 it seems they got the false neutral sorta figured out. I have had a total of 3 in 2000 miles and each time I feel like I wasn't hard enough with my foot on the shift
@@22smcrrider96 im glad they figured it out for the 22 i always *if i use the quickshifter* use pretty good force with the foot to get it in but it happens alot from 4th to 5th might be an RPM thing idk :D
I'm looking to get one but I'm just going to use it to go to work 12 miles on back roads and to putts around on trails so I would probly change the tires to 50/50 tires as I wouldn't want slicks or I'm looking at the 890 adv r also, I just can't make up my mind I need to go see them in person if you can find them together at the dealer at the same time.
reviewing a bike like this in terms of confort is like like reviewing a mclaren p1 in off road terrain, nonsense.... Expensive, well that is relative, it is just like any other performance bike or even cheaper. Handling is just superb. Manitenance, well, if you know how to read you can do it easily. With ktm warranty is just a waste of time so you better do it yourself and save yourself the headache anyway. The japanese should build monsters like that one. Congrats on your bike
This is a specific purpose bike not intended to use as a multi-purpose tool. It's made for short fun rides, nothing more nothing less. If you have other bikes, no intentions of touring, off roading, or hanging out with your Harley friends, this is a play bike like no other. If people don't understand this then they shouldn't even be looking at a super moto, period.
right, but whis is not a real supermoto. the real ones are offroad 450s and 500s with a sumo kit. those are NOT meant for touring AT ALL. with the 690 you can do everything
its not about the exterior design. its about their different engine. 450s are meant for the track: lighter and lot of maintenance. 690s and 701s are for the streets and act like a normal street bike
I could make a switch my kawasaki versys 650 with a ktm 690 sm, afther seen this vid I think I'm not gonna do it. Because I need comfort seats and am only 1.76 m , so not verry high ... thanks for sharing this vid
1. I am 170cm and it’s fine. 2. It is expensive to buy but you can service the bike yourself in about 15 mins with basic tools. Don’t use the dealer for anything as they will rip you off. 3. Agreed, not comfortable but ok to ride for an hour or so at a time. Hopeless for long distance. 4. Weighs 145kg (dry) 450EXC 110kg (dry) 5. Yes, can be a problem if you want to ride in a group - personally I think group riding is a recipe for disaster. You are safer on your own.
This is one of the most reliable engines and transmissions on the market. It it’s placed across several platforms. You should be able to wrench your own stuff. Have fun on your KLR 650….
I mean, you really can't complain about the dealer rates when these are basic services that you should be able to perform yourself. If people came to me wanting these same services, I'd charge the same rates, -20%. only because i don't have the large overhead. Dealer rates are dealer rates. I mean, c'mon. You complain about dealer rates, but then you buy a bunch of trinkets that provide zero performance gains. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude. It's the Chimay talking.
Dying out as a species????!?!? You are soo negative. It is fucking cool bike.. ofcourse it is costing some money. And it is a supermoto..and group rides? The ktm will smoke them all on the German bundesstrasen
Yo I totally agree with you that this bike is awesome. I am just listing 5 reasons against it. I also did a video with 5 reasons in favor of the bike. Don’t take it personal, just an opinion on some negatives. I am happy for you if your experience is different.
Oh and I think they are dying out. There are no other manufacturers besides ktm (including husky and gas gas)that are releasing supermotos for street use and innovate on them. Just an observation not an offense against the bike. Single cylinders are simply too ‘dirty’ to keep up with environmental regulation at a low cost. KTM has been pulling off miracles.
@@bklf202 i cant agree with you that they are dying out. 5 years back, when you look on the online marketplace for supermotos...there where around 10/15 for sale in The Netherlands. Now if you look for them, there are much much more for sale. Im not talking only about the 690smc, also the CRF, EXC, DRZ, etc supermotos. I think they getting more populair. In Netherlands you see them more than 5 years ago.
@@breadgarlichouse yea actually would agree with that too. I would say there is an increase in demand but only KTM is matching supply. All other manufacturers are turning their backs on single cylinders and that's what I meant with dying out. But I like this discussion and I think it shows how there are really two sides to this. Given the fact that more and more people are converting their EXCs and CRFs it might have been an overstatement in a way!
I honestly think that KTM are going in the wrong direction with the SMC, their best models were the earlier generations, the 2008 just looks like something you can throw about and not care too much, with these new bikes I’d be scared I was going to scratch it. It needs to be ridden like a supermoto and be dropped and slid, not paying £10k for something I can’t use properly. Doesn’t look offroady enough, should bring out a cheaper, stripped down version.
yea, personally I like the looks of the new ones a lot more but it is true that I do not feel like I can toss it around like some of their older bikes.. and all the electronics make it difficult to spot issues..
@@bklf202 they are nice bikes no doubt, maybe because I’m more of a fan boy of the older bikes, they’re just not supermoto enough for me. 2 different types would be good.
Thanks for clarifying this. There is also a lowering kit to make it even lower. The video was just about its stock condition. Lowering suspension will only get you so far ofc.
Liked the video, new sub. Heard you say, you're videos get demonetized bcuz of swearing. I know there are apps who can translate audio to text and then automatically bleep curses, through AI. like an automatic video censor program, maybe it can help you out. Greetz
Maybe might want to learn to do things yourself instead of go to the shop been a certified motorcycle mechanic all my life since 1980 and I don't take my bike to anybody to do anything and things your talking about that's your preference opinions everybody's different I hear a lot of people complaining about motorcycles prices tires Services ect you need to realize it's a luxury not a necessity I will not base buying a motorcycle on your height or because you think it's too expensive to maintain if people think that they're too much to maintain maybe buy yourself a moped. Sorry I couldn't watch your video anymore
Hey I get it. Don’t forget that this is a video where I am purposely trying to find things that some people may not like when buying a new bike. I am not personally complaining because I love the bike and I don’t care about the negatives far as much as I care about all the positives. Also made a vid on those btw! Still think service costs are ridiculous and not everyone can be a mechanic even they would like to be..
@@bklf202 yes labor prices are ridiculous as tge labor rate at the dealer I bought from is 165.00 an hour (4 motorcycles) side by side 185.00) and I hate to say but dealerships do hire non certified people trust me I've seen it for years and tge say I bought by 22 africa twin 6 months ago wasn't properly prepped! I was pissed
@BKLF did you break something or cause damage during your own servicing? I'm in the US and I know that if you do the service correctly and have receipts of parts purchased, they cannot void your warranty.
Should have bough tools instead of those flashy bits to work on the bike yourself. Paying $300 bucks for a oil change that would have cost you 40 bucks and 30 min.
Would like to test ride one but imagine it’s very similar. Only has some minor differences the biggest being the rims. Hopefully can get my hands on one to make a video soon.
1) 701 2) gasgas 700 3) 890smt...yeah 690 is in the middle and brings nothing special then "original KTM" .... Oh and now you can get also a Ducati....
Do not buy new ones if you love old smc models. I have just bought ktm smc 2023 is absolutely worst bike i have ever had. Probably cause by catalizer and euro 5 regulation... but bike really is not a supermoto. Vote for me is 0
