Why you should play Aasimar || Dungeons & Dragons || D&D 5e 

I have an Aasimar idea for any future DnD games. She's a Protector Aasimar rogue who when in her radiant soul can grow a pair of magpie wings. She doesn't consider her angelic heritage as a blessing, but as a curse. Her father had treated her less like a daughter and more like a mascot for his business. A lot of people had tried to either abduct her so she could perform "miracles" for them or steal her hair because apparently angel hair can bring great fortune. She even had to flee her home town when some war lord invaded and took over the town just because it had an Aasimar residing there. She now wears a mask and hood to hide her angelic hair and beauty. And when her angel started coming to her in her dreams, her hatred of her cursed heritage had been cemented so deep, she wanted nothing to do with this angel and all the good deeds he wanted her to perform. And started to practice lucid dreaming in order to block him out

What I love about my aasimar sorceress is the how ridiculously blunt she can be to literally everyone. Because people naturally like her, she's never really learned tact. She's also very stand-out, glowing, gold eyes, blue black metallic hair, and a permanent personal breeze around her that makes her cape billow... Our sneaky, shadowy rogue spends half their time rolling their eyes.

A human with celestial blood, in Judeo-Christian lore, that would be a Nephilim. I think that's easier to say, so if I have someone on my table that can't pronounce Aasimar, I'll call them Nephilim. Fight me.

Before watching this, I already wanted to make some sort of Hexblade Warlock. I was thinking of doing it with a Shifter race. After watching this, you changed my mind and gave me a dumb idea for a Celestial character to have a backstory that involves them with evil. Thanks.

I have a personal concept for Aasimar. Aasimar are created by celestialss to boost their military numbers after a war among gods had wiped out thousands of angels to near extinction.

I love the art, and the mention of Della Reece was spot on, but this script really kicked your ass. Thanks for sharing, I really like Aasimar and played one that was a rogue who was cut off from his guardian spirit so he lost his halo. The wings came in handy at one part of the campaign.

I have this idea for a Lawful Good Fallen Aasimar who chose her form in an attempt to reach out to tieflings and the more monstrous races.

Ive made my aasimar a half tiefling (with no stats, only physical appearance), where his wings are constantly visible but are small and weak until hes activated his celestial revelation. He can't fly and is actually afraid of heights. Ive made him a walking grey area both religiously and morally. He thinks the celestial that gave him his aasimar traits was a demon he worshipped throughout his life rather than an "angel" giving him the chance to truly live his life, rather than be tied down to a monastery

You asked if you could have an aismer dragon born I say yes solely for the reason that I can have a warforge aismer Aka warforge built by some god and uses arguments and enchants to give aismer abilities to it so robo angel

Im currently playing an protector aasimar who is a college of whispers bard with an ukulele as their main instrument. Backstory so far is that they were adopted as a baby by an elderly couple and raised alongside their siblings who were a mixed bag of different races. My character didn't think much of their angelic abilities outside magical potential. The group of siblings (including my character) left home and made a living as a performance group until they all got separated while escaping from evil cultists. After being found and treated , they traveled alone, performing whenever they can and searching for the others...

In my world, Aasimar are children of angels who fell and rebelled against their own kin to live full lives with humans and grow with humanity to teach them things that were forbidden so that they could prosper and thrive in such a harsh world that takes lives indiscriminately. A war broke out between the two, causing many casualties for both sides but inevitably the ones on top won and banished the rebels to the other dimension (My single alternate world that houses many realms like the fey wild) where they made their own dimensions and domains. Their children were persecuted and imprisoned, becoming slaves to the religious followers of the Angels. But after a historic rebellion they built their own country and land by doing what they needed to survive and while still following their old ancestors teachings. Becoming essentially Viking Aasimars that raid and pillage their old slavers lands and freeing other magical races that are also enslaved as they once were like Dwarves, Goliaths, and Etc.

Playing Protector Aasimar, daughter of planar/solar of a war god. She's a divine Soul sorcerer/ celestial warlock. She's the party's healer/support and occasionally blaster. She's destined for being a great in the force in a holy/celestial war. But she's more healer/support, with occasional blasting but not much of a real fighter/general/foot solider.

I like the idea of going full on into the Angel of the Bible vibe, unless your Aasimar specifically looks humanoid, like, there's an Angel that straight up is just a wheel with eyes, so you could have golden skin with extra eyes along your legs and arms, they can't focus well though so they don't negate flanking for the purposes of any homerules that have the "can't flank if the creature has multiple eyes" thing Outside of that, remember to make your Aasimar's appearance reflect their personality, they may be mortal but their entire spirit is extraplanar, meaning they are in a sense drawn between two sets of physics, that of the Heavens and that of the Prime Material plane. They could have an Atom movement pattern shaped Halo (with multiple rings) for a smart person, they could have a halo in front of their head if they're a defensive one, a halo over their head, their wings could be hands of spiritual energy which allow them to fly by simply pushing against the ground, small amounts of heavenly fire could escape their mouth when they speak but never enough to be an attack, idk get wacky

I'm currently playing an protector asimar order of the ghost slayer blood hunter, He was raised by his father with his twin sister in a small village and lived a fairly happy life until his father died saving a child from a river during a flood leaving him and his sister to become urchins living on the street. but they were kidnapped by a cult which ended up with his sister ( the much more competent child) allowing him to escape, then running into a Blood hunter who in my DM's world are call Exorcists and leading him back to the cult. The Exorcist killed the cult but they had already preform a sacrifice ritual and non of the bodies were left identifiable so he took the kid in and trained him. My character also has his connection to serinray who is very motherly and scolds him quite alot, trying to get him to be a champion but he prefers to be a professional instead its much simpler. He really just wants to fly its the thing he loves the most in the world but the more he does it the more bloody cults come after him, which has made his work alot easier from time to time. sorry for the long comment.

Technically unicorns and the golds scaley asian flying version are also celestials who can bread with humans etc through polymorph so a single horn levitation and gold scales are as normal as angel physical traits

I have a character planned out that I am waiting to use in a game, Death domain Cleric/ Necromancer. He believes his gift is a curse (good gods are bad because they frown upon use of Necromancy due to them begin fearful of man living eternally and no longer wanting their attention). Seeks to find the book to make Liches to stop people from making themselves a "False Lich". Name: Aelfric Goth Huntley = Angel of The True Lich.

I always assumed that Aasimar were mortals blessed by angels and given angelic power. Effectively between full blown angel and human.

With my permission my GM lets me be a dim light 5inch glowstick with a permanent disadvantage in hiding and in dark environments I dont even get to roll hiding at all. His argument its impossible to hide if you have a joke of an ethereal smoke halo on your head. Undead or demon can sniff me out like hot meals anywhere, as long as I am around no one gets to ambush them. I will always be a first choice target for evil monsters. Like a flame to moths. Mary Sue can be a joke character too. The Shadowfell campaign as an Aasimar Paladin was so much fun. Triviality in some challenges is replaced by extreme difficulty in others. And my GM keep having NPCs asking my party members if they want to sell me for my innards, blood or soul.

I made an Aasimar that had a warlock patron. So her benefactor was not fond of the patron and her patron was just genuinely “I have no idea what I am”.

Id say the halo should apear in darkness shedding enough light to count like light the cantrip, but also when doing celestial things like spells that heal or deal divine damage or bless others etc. and yes to always wings but alternative wings that apear only as needed. With a auto heal ecro touch so your aasimar can be similar to tieflings but also unique

Hey so I need some help. I’m making a Aasmiar and I can’t get a good backstory going, he’s a paladin and his name is Icarus. But I dunno what god to tye him too, because I don’t really want him to be tied to godly stuff. He’s not a fallen Aasmiar and still has a good moral compass but for some reason resents what ever gosh he serves. Any advice?

I know this is an old ass video but idc imma share my character: They basically nobility that was put on a pedestal by their parents and basically weren’t allow to leave their room and had to sit there until they became the messiah that h the wit parents believed them to be. While they revered them they also were kinda scared of the idea of them going to the bad side by any means of contact with anyone who wasn’t a holy being, so they also left him alone. He had a war forged caretaker because they were like “yeah robots aren’t really people nor holy so we’ll have a war forged take care of our kid”. They become close and create a child and parent relationship and feeling bad for them the war forged decides to secretly take this kid out to see the world. The kid would take classes with this retried paladin and would now technically be considered a paladin (there more too it but I thought it would be funny to diverge from the very self righteous and openness of paladin. It’s like when you find out that one friend of your is a Ordains minister and you’re like “what the fuck when did you do that”). They would then escape the house and join the party. Idk I thought it was fun

protector aasimar paladin oath of ancient hexblade warlock divine soul sorcerer my character is this and is very fun to play stat CHA 15+2 STR 14 CON 13 INT 10 DEX 12 WIS 8+1 first you have two pool of healing with both lay on hand and healing hand you have all the advantage of a paladin armor class 18 base with shield and chain mail you can get to a 20 with the heavy armour at level 2 with the warlock hexblade dip you get the shield spell attack with charisma and have eldtrich blast for range at level 3 you get sorcerer 1 and get spells from there you can go anywhere 2 paladin for smite 2 warlock for invocation 2 sorcerer for sorcery point what you need is 2-7 levels paladin for aura 1-5 level warlock if you want eldtrich smite 3 level sorcerer minimum and then go all sorcerer you can do anything tank with the heavy armour and shield spell nova damage with smites... you can use divine smite eldrich smite and a smite spell in one attack range covered with eldrich blast and sorcerer spells support covered with bless Spare the dying guidance healing covered with healing words healing hands lay on hand and cure wound storywise he is a human the angel was sealed inside him as a baby the Power come from there...the angel want to be free regardless the human and develop some darkness (the warlock powers) the human is a nice guy but is afraid of his powers for all his life he hear voices and think he is crazy so live as a hermit... you have a built in conflict inside two characters who have to get together

Ok so here's an idea... A chaotic good fallen Aasimar death cleric named Malak al Mawt. Fell from grace both metaphorically and literally and started going down a slightly darker path, yet not being completely evil. More so using his dark powers to serve as an enforcer of the natural order of things. Keeping other dark forces from wreaking havoc on the mortal world and looking to help guide the souls of the dead into thier afterlives so that they might find peace. The reasoning behind his name being that Malak al Mawt means angel of death in arabic.

Question.. I'm new to DnD (only played pure homebrew with my friends, cuz we r all new to it) who wanted to try out real DnD.. Thinking of going as an Aasimar.. Either going Paladin / Bard.. I wanted to go dual weapon, a Whip & a Rapier.. but, idk how the weapon here work with the stats & feats..

I have a character that is half fallen Aasimar half vampire Prince and they are a shadow sorcerer for the sake of rp there shadow sorcerer bloodline is all that is why they are not dead they were originally a vampire but was touched by a half fallen Angel but survived because there bloodline started to kick in and saved them and found out that they are destined to kill a lot of vampires and they are in a magic school

Okay this was funny but I always did found this race just to be boring because well they're angels. I also like I said too many of the other videos I'm not a person that really cares for a full-out human race and I still consider them as a full-out human they're not human but they're human enough to where they don't really catch my interest.

When your whole video is a constant joke about not having your script edited, it really distracts from what your trying to do and isn't actually funny. Just edit your script and edit your narration and you'll have a great video.
