I'm a big fan of evolution 1 and 2. I don't play 2 very much anymore unfortunately. I think its because back in evolution 1, when you were playing in a main "campaign" game, your were effectively running a franchise. Being able to hop between islands and have that sense of total progression as opposed to evolution 2's way of handling things, where every park you make outside of the malta dlc is kind of stuck in its own bubble, which takes away some of the long term appeal for me and makes it a little more challenging to dive back in again and again like I would with the first game. I did get the malta expansion recently so maybe playing through that will change things for me, idk.
I grabbed the premium version - roughly 60 dollars (with tax) is decent enough and the game's got, at worst, one more pack to go - and is probably just done So, what's here is the complete package - as is standard with Frontier - plus, when I get bored and decided to start modding, I won't have to wonder which mods will work and which ones won't If it's post the latest update - it will absolutely work and if it's pre the latest update - very obviously - it may not work and I know where to look for whatever's making my game crash xD
I've really been thinking if trying the game since I loved the first one but was a little hesitant but this really makes me want to jump back and try the game thanks for the great review :D

Pretty fun game to be completely honest with you. A breathe of fresh air compared to sports and FPS games I play. Going to be pretty cool to see how this evolves in the future.
Haha you can put them together but there is like a notification you’ll receive on if they’ll be compatible together or not. It’s usually herbivores are pretty good together but carnivores can’t be with them and some other carnivores or the best ones will eat the rest. My biggest ecosystems were with majority herbivores and you can have many different ones in there
That's awesome! What was your favorite part? I think they did an amazing job with the Chaos Theory campaign. I especially loved the 1993 first jurassic park version. I am pretty excited to see what they can do in the future. Could you imagine a VR game where you do all the rides you create?
