Retraining was added a few FIFA's ago, but its a bit of a dice roll if you manage to improve your players overall. Today i'm sharing a bunch of different ways you can use the feature to make Career mode more fun, more realistic and just generally better!
1 Camavinga CM to CDM 79 to 83
Starting off with the highest rated player
Camavinga can improve by 4 overall if you move him from CM to CDM
This is thanks to him having better defending stats than attacking
Poor Longshots and finishing mean hes better using his high interceptions and tackling abilities in defense
2 Julian Alvarez ST to CAM 78 to 82
Surprisingly, Man City's new signing is better at CAM than ST
Has really high dribbling and agility stats
Finishing is still good, but creative stats are better
Also improves as a winger and as RM/LM
3 Tommaso Pobega CM to ST 76 to 80
I hadnt heard of Pobega before this,
Interesting CM with 77 finishing and 80 positioning
Good pace, good stamina, good strength
6’2 could be either an amazing B2B or ST
4 Daniel Bragança CM to CAM 75 to 79
Similar to Alvarez, has better agility/dribbling than defensive stats
Doesn’t have the shooting or strength to play any further forwards, so is only a 70 rated striker
Finnesse shot trait means you want him on the edge of the box like a CAM

5 Reine-Adélaïde CM to CAM 74 to 78
FIFA used to consider Jeff Reine Adelaide a winger, but now think he plays as a CM
Still has his winger stats other than pace and crossing
Top level dribbling and long distance shooting
Cant reall defend or run, so being playmaker suits him more
6 Jordan Larsson RM to CAM 75 to 77
Son of Henrik Larsson
Slightly better at CAM than on the wing, would have really big pace though
Can play Striker, but finishing is too low to train there
CAM suits his dribbling and explosive pace, and hides his awful defending (29 avg def stat lol)
7 Japhet Tanganga RBW to CB 74 to 78
The RWB position needs high attacking stats, Taganga cannot shoot or cross
Could become a really fast aggressive strong CB
A little small for a CB in the Prem at 180cm
This will also double his value from 15m to around 30m!
Now would be good enough for an England cap if you’re manager
8 Jeong Woo Yeong CF to RM 72 to 76
Moving him out wide uses his insane pace, stamina and passing stats
RM works better for the National Team too, opposite Son
Poor finishing means hes more suited to the wing
9 Abdallah Sima RM to ST 72 to 76
At 6’2 and with 90 Pace you want this guy playing through the middle.
Surprisingly low strength means he could be even better if you train it
Wings, CF and CAM are all higher rated than his default RM
Potential Prem level striker once his loan from Brighton to Angers ends
10 Jairo Torres CM to RM 66 to 72
Biggest Overall improvement
Was changed to be a RM in September 2022
Cannot defend and has good dribbling and ball control
