I find it funny how flippers like to make fun of other peoples asking prices. They dont need to set prices to make it worth your time. If you dont like it move along sir. Funny how you want to buy low and sell high to get a free collection but others arent allowed the same privelage 🤔🤔🤔
Ya.. I hate selling games to those type of people. They be like what's your best offer. I'm like sir... my prices are already listed... if you're not willing to pay the price listed make me offer. I usually price stuff under going rate by 10-20% of going rate.
If u actually listen to what he's saying it's okay to sell something for what it's worth but people think they are sat on a gold mine and try ripping people off.selling a ps4 for 280 quid is taking the piss,I see it all the time some people try selling things twice as much as CEX sell them for.i HATE thoes people who try ripping people of
I swear charity shops don't want to make money...... Most of them have signs in the window, saying ''We are full, we are unable too take any more donations''. Yet in the shop, they are selling video games twice as expensive CEX and i saw in there, Disney T Shirts, £19.99! It is ridiculous.
So, essentially, you’re wound up because they’re aren’t as many people around who are ignorant to the value of their possessions that you can take advantage of?
Sellers dont price items for a re-seller to buy to flip for profit, they are targetting Joe Public so they wont be priced at 50-60% of market value and why would they, most cant afford to make anymore of a loss then necessary. I sell a lot on eBay and there is no way ill list something at 50% its market value just so its sold, i want to get 100% of its market value. Id only sell for below 100% of its value if i am desperate for a sale or its not shifting (the same as retailers do).
Exactly. Gone are the days of finding a deal. Everyone is google search away to find the going rate for a game. No one is willing to sell something for way less especially if one is struggling on cash until they're desperate for cash. I can go on facebook marketplace and find zero deals and I hate negotiating especially for bartering for trades cuz' most people want it the trade to be in their favor rather than a equal exchange. The only time I find a deal on marketplace is if it's 2-3hr drive away which negates bothering.
The reason CEX don’t list the Arkham collection is because it only included Batman Arkham City and Asylum on disc. Knight was Digital Code. So they trade it under return to arkham. So value second hand is lower then brand new when code is not used.
A lot of finding gems relies on going off the beaten path and going back to OUR childhood years. The market for the consoles we played as kids has started to go absolutely mental once again. The gamecube values are seemingly on the up along with the N64 and NES, the SNES is remaining steadily consistent so far, but then again, SEGA, particularly the Mega Drive...and...surprisingly Saturn ive seen explode in popularity. But never ask me to part with my Commodore 64, I loved that thing from day one and the light fantastic and Brain Teaser in boxes I have will never be parted with
There's still value on FB. I just yesterday bought over 50 games (in very good condition) for 40 quid and a PS3 slim console with a copy of MGS legacy collection (worth about 50) and Persona 5 PS3 (worth about 30) for also 40 all in. I also just missed out on a bundle of two DS lites with multiple games, one of which was a complete pokemon soul Silver for 30 quid. Gutted doesn't cover it. I've actually noticed less competition recently possibly because everyone is saving money for xmas, although I def agree that people's conception of value of their goods is all over the place.
Question: Do I buy a PS5 SLIM now or wait for the PS5 PRO ??? After watching your videos for the past 6 months and with the recent GTA6 trailer I’ve been buying games on Facebook marketplace and flipping them for a profit at CEX so I can use the vouchers to buy a PS5 this is where I’m at …. Road to PS5 / PS5 PRO CEX Trade in Total £481.80 in Vouchers of which £235.50 was spent buying games to trade £147.50 is profit I made from trading those games in £83.00 was from trading in old PS4 £15.80 Gift from Mike (father-in-law) I find I get the best deals from under 18s and mothers with kids all selling on Facebook marketplace within 3 - 4 miles of my house. There is a lot of people also trying to sell for why to much money. I tried charity shops in the area they are all priced to high I tend to look on facebook occasionally in my downtime when I’d be watching RU-vid videos anyway so guess my time is spent better sourcing a deal.
I found a guy who is trying to sell pokemon yellow for $150 loose... no box no nothing and in the details is written... "I believe this game is worth $150". It's still up and that was 6 months ago.
I assume that every post on Facebook marketplace is either a scam or posted for laughs. As a selling and buying platform it’s not even worth bothering with.
Totally get ya, FB Marketplace in my area is exactly the same. I find if it new account (2022/23) it's usually a con, they are not from the area it states but the will bank transfer and send it🤔 Way over priced item are usually easten Europeans and if the price is really good you get no response or they lead you on (probably a fake post for shitz n giggles)
I never brought anything from facebook marketplace. Not sure why facebook has something like that or needs to, considering there's ebay to sell stuff on. Don't really know what the differences are between the two.
Facebook marketplace is full of timewasters, its only useful for items that are too big / heavy to put on eBay. Personally id rather sell on eBay you get more money as its nationwide and your offer is binding and you dont have any old riff raff turning up at your house to collect things or potential issues with counterfeit money etc.
@@Security848 My account was banned from ebay despite never posting items for sale. I only used it for buying things I couldn't find locally. They never gave me explanation either. I tried to appeal it, but they denied it. Ebay can eat shit for all I care.
People on Facebook do take the piss and list something and not get back to people when they ask you if you can come and collect it. it happened to me so much that I've actually given up using Facebook people are dumb I just plain ignorant or the other one that people on Facebook is tell you the postcode but not tell you the door number how are you supposed to know exactly where you're going if you're selling something be honest with people and tell them where have to go to collector item and stop all the stupid unnecessary bulshit
I dislike when I'm selling and they insist on me driving 40mins to deliver to them and they still want haggle n negotiate on price. Or when I give a specific time and location and I'm sitting in a parking lot and they don't show up with no word after saying they were on the way. Also low ballers who want an 80% discount on the going rate so they can flip and resell. I put up some switch games for $30 each /w the cases that normally go for $60 brand new and $40-$45 on marketplace w/o the case and still run in to low ballers who want to offer $15-$20 for each game.
