Today we go over the performance aspects of the Adidas Dame 8, a surprisingly good performer with excellent cushioning. Traction on the Dame 8 is average, but the compression and softness overall really impressed me.

@@gallifishing8226 Half down. 1st pair I bought my usual 10 and was very big so returned them and ended up buying 2 different pairs/colorways of size 9.5. Honestly I probably could wear a 9. They run that big. Similar to how big the Trae 1s run.

I usually go down half size to 11.5 from Nike where I wear a 12 however I do prefer some space in the toe box. I went with an 11.5 on the D6, went with 11.5 on the D7 as well but felt they were a little more snug and I probably could have went with a 12. What would you suggest?

I would still suggest 11.5 in your case, especially if you’ve had that size with previous Dame’s. I wish I had gone down a half size for the Dame 8

Would it be an issue if i buy one today? Almost a year after its release, i currently use Dame 2 yellow tape colorway, flat pancake feet here as well.

How is the breathability on these? Its usually pretty hot here and this one checks most of the boxes but i havent heard much about that aspect.

Which shoes would you say are better for wide feet aggressive players? These or the Lebron LeBron Witness 7? Also which one is hands down your number 1 suggestion for wide foot aggressive style ball players? Thanks bud. You got my sub!

Thanks man!! Appreciate you. I’d say that these are a better shoe overall than the LeBron Witness 7. That would be the Dame 8 actually for wide footers who want a good bounce and compression. Keep in mind that traction on this colorway was not the best, the blue and white ones with a translucent trim might be the most ideal to get.

just bought them yesterday and played it tonight i agree on the tractions that its average not the best thing in the world and not worst either i love the shoe overall but i wish they could've done better on the traction side of the shoe

Been a sneakerhead due to your reviews. I bought the Dame 7, Trae 1, and recently the StepBack 3 all due to your reviews, and I must say I haven't been disappointed so far. I'm now thinking on getting this one, can u suggest which one should I choose, Dame 8 or DON 4?

So glad to hear that, thank you!! I’d say that the Dame 8 is a safer choice, much better cushioning very soft and responsive on feet. The DON Issue 4 they fixed heel slippage but to me the lockdown is a little too secure.

@@bingradiamoda2365 I’d still recommend going down a half size. But I guess try them on first if you can, if not the Dame 8 really fits big from my experience so I would just size down. 🙏

I recently bought a pair of Nikes in size 13 and they were way to snug. Could hardly get my foot in. Do you recommend a 14 in these or a 13 since they don’t have half sizes

Probably a 13? I don’t think there’s any need to size up with the Dame 8.

Hey! Tbh I’d say try the PG 6, it does have better traction. However for both of these durability on a cement court I’m not too sure haven’t played on one myself in a long time.

Hey, I’m not sure what vball players normally look for so might not give you the best answer here. But the PG 6 is a better shoe overall to me.

If prefer more cushion for those landings on blocks and hitting ,dame 8. I tried both on (but pg 5 instead of 6). Dame was more wide, pg’s had a tighter containment

Just bought a pair. I’ve been a huge fan of Dame’s shoes because of the cushioning. I’ve heard the traction is TERRIBLE to start but they get better the more you play in them. Apparently it’s some sort of film at the soles that you have to break in

@@Motorman-vp1gb i play indoors and yes, they definitely did! Don’t think they’re on par with the curry 9s (nothing is in terms of grip) but they have some great grip, just a lot of wiping when you first get them, took me a week or 2 to fully get the real feel of the sneakers

Nope, at least not on this colorway. The black or blue colorways with a translucent trim on the outsole will be better.

Dame 8 for better cushioning, Dame Certified for better traction. It depends on what’s more important to you, or which one you can find a better deal for I guess. 😃
