Nah sorry Hammer all the way for Blunt damage. Deleting Monster parts instantly with Spinning Meteor is way to addicting. Especially if its weak to Blunt damage and is in a downed state. Landing hits for 3k+ is something I can't get with Hunting Horn.^^
I like how Rise and Stories 2 took the melee/support hybrid Hunting Horn in two opposite directions. MH:RIse's Hunting Horn was an offensive beast capable of melting monsters' faces off. Whereas Stories 2's HH is a pure support weapon that can ensure your teammate's survival.
« Pure support weapon ». No. You have roughly 3-4 different sets of songs according to the HH you’re using in Stories 2. One set is fully offensive (atk and crit buffs), another is focused on survivability (evasion, defense buffs …), and so on … Kind of the same thing in Rise, if not in most of MH games really : the songs (=buffs) depend on the horn you’re using. Both games are similar regarding that vibe, they are no different
@@Spin0saure You are wrong tho. Buffing/debuffing is not direct DPR in stories 2, it supports the casts and doesnt directly deals damage to the monsters you're facing. It's not cuz a skill buffs the attack stat that its offensive lol, u got this one twisted.
@@pocketjedi6675 look again : « pure support weapon that can ensure your teammate’s survival ». From author’s perspective, the horn is only good for survivability, whereas in reality, it has also a wide range of offensive buffs. THAT was the point… 🤦

Got a question that might be obvious. Can you transfer those skills to different hunting horns? I've got Bloodsuck on an old Congalala Drum, and while it's fun to see my character's crazy dance, I'd love to transfer that skill to a better horn!
