Crete should become autonomous and break away from mainland Greece and show them how it is done.

Ha lovely joke. I also think half your own nation should break away just to make you a point. But if you know anything about Greece then you know Crete, all other islands, mainland are all intertwined. For example in Kastoria in North mainland Greece has the oldest linear writing found on earth dated to 7300 years ago, called the Dispilio tablet. But what they also found is obsidian. And Obsidian is only found on the island of Milos in the Aegean, 600 km south, South east from Kastoria in the middle of the Aegean right above Crete. And Milos was highly imporant all around the whole Greek world in the time of 9000-7000 years ago. So, the whole of Greece was connected already in trade 8000 years ago

@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 i am talking about the historical entity of Greece, as someone who has been studying archaeology for 10+ years and a deep understanding of the foundationnof Greece to which everything else is based upon till this day. Daily politics will not in any way touch that. Crete is culturally distinct. But so is Athos, so is the Mani peninsula, so is Corfu, so is many other places. Greece is a highly complex geography and topography that creates an extreme form of isolation becsuse of it. Meaning that Greece is undeniably united, yet locally with many cultural, tradition, culinary, historical differences. This is what makes Greece special.

@@Ptolemy336VV The subject has nothing to do with historical Greece. It has to do with visiting Crete. Now, I have been to Crete, like many others. And I have spoken with and dined with Cretans who also believe Crete should break away from mainland Greece and become autonomous. Mainland Greece could learn a lot from how things are done in Crete and implement them on mainland Greece. But that will never happen. Because Greeks on the mainland are not civilized human beings. They are thieves, lazy, they don't care about anyone else other than themselves and have no respect for anyone. If you believe other wise, you are in for a rude awakening in life.
