Malachite is one of the cheapest stones out there and a huge reason why it’s not often used in fine jewelry. It wears out so easily. Van cleef also uses mother of pearl a lot as well as black onyx, two more very cheap materials. They’re scamming dumb people. I would never pay $250 for a tiny piece of malachite not even worth $1. A fool and his money are soon parted!!!
As someone from the region that mine malachite ore, I wholeheartedly agree! There are even brands that sell fine jewelry with malachite for like 50-60$ in silver/coated silver… and thats designer jewelry made by proper masters who had good salary
You didn’t do your research before buying. It’s pretty well documented online how fragile Malachite is especially if you opt for their bracelet. The earrings and necklace tend to avoid this issue since they don’t really come into contact with water as much as a bracelet.
You pay so much and then have to care about not being in the water is height of capitalism lol. It’s not even 24k gold or an exceptional design I don’t understand the hype. I have dainty 24 k gold bracelet I wear 24x7 rain shine hot shower soap. Not a dent. Less than half the pice of this and after 2 years now I can resell it for twice the price or more what I paid for by simply walking into any jeweller because its 24 k and basically like cash since they can melt it and make a brand new jewellery. As for the design If I like these I can simply ask the jeweller to make it 😂 as for the stone there are much better durable ones which we all know already x I’m jusy flabergasted that these are so popular and everyone is just overpaying
You bought the fake one to deceive people into thinking you can afford these things and the lifestyle. Otherwise just buy any other bracelet that isn't a knockoff.
@@Leukicki got a replica from qvc for my daughters 18th birthday. qvc make quality replicas and it looks better than the original. i got the green. its special because we visited the alhambra in pefson last year.
@@sincerehunter601sorry, I thought you were saying MOP. Onyx is the most hard wearing VCA stone. I prefer my hammered gold in the 5-motifs. None of the stones will look good still when in contact with soap, water, chemicals. Even Onyx will have a white film on the surface when wearing 24/7.
Most stones will get damaged by water sitting on them. Solid gold is the best choice for this company because it's so overpriced. Also, you can treat the stones with wax to prevent damage.
@@KC-ox1ccI wear my onyx 5 motifs since 6 years now 24/7 always, shower, bath, sea… and still in perfect condition with no white filter, please comment only if you have this bracelet or experience with VCA.
People will actually spend money like this in an overly inflated bracelet, that gets damaged easily and with a thin chain. There’s so many better things to spend this kinda of money or even for 1/4 of the price you could buy much better quality jewellery but because it’s not as identifiable as an expensive luxury item like a Van Cleef people don’t want it, because they want people to think they are rich. LOL only poor or people that can’t afford it buy this stuff, you ain’t giving rich to anyone.
All correct, except "only poor or people that can’t afford it buy this stuff" ... Why do people keep saying this when it's not true at all. A new statement should be "only poor people think only poor people buy luxury items"
@@MikeyDLooffy I got one for 100 , people say they nice and ask if it’s the real one. Ofc I said no because I don’t care people wouldn’t know unless I told them .
Why your gold bracelet looks like that, I mean not shine and with beautiful yellow? My parents ring are probably more than 25 years old and both rings( yellow gold 18k) looks awesome and shine.
Damn, all that money for a single bracelet and they cannot repair it for free let alone five a disclaimer on their website?! Yes, it’s about the dollar but it’s clear that they do not salute their customers as you’d be taking a risk with this purchase in particular. I’m good love.
I have the malachite i bought it 9 years ago still looks new , I do use it but never with another bracelet and i always take it off when i wash my hands. They told me in the store how to take care of each stone. The most durable is the mother of pearl but i know a friend told me that it can get darker on the sides , if she wears darker clothes . The SA was trying to sell the guilloche she said it is the most durable but i saw many youtube videos saying other wise (it can be easily get scratched) In my opinions we should take care of All stones the only ones that we dont need to take care of, is the hammered Alhambra , pure gold no stones .
Mother of pearl is very sensitive. It’s the softest material they offer and it can shrink when it comes in contact with water. Onyx is the best option.
I would wear it and enjoy it before having it repaired in that case, make it worth the cost of repair, rather than babying it and still having to pay money to baby it again. Take a few months to just live in it so that its worth the repair.
Wow, what a costly mistake 🤦♀️ this can all be avoided with some knowledge and research...... It's common understanding that malachite is quite soft and with a Mohs rating of 3.5 it is incredibly easy to damage. Frequent temperature changes can ruin the stones, ffs. Honestly, letting water sit on most stones is a sure way to damage them. Best practice is to take 2 minutes to treat your malachite with wax. It will save you thousands of dollars.
I was considering buying this but didn’t because of the exact same reason. I went with the yellow gold guilloche instead and I’ve been wearing it almost daily. I think you can have the stones replaced by the store for a fee though.
My first choice out of all.. 😢 sad that I will not getting this cause this is one of the most delicate and not for daily wear.. I'll probably opt for chalcedony or red carnelian..
Hi, I still think it looks nice perhaps only wear it for a special occasion. Rather than day today where it’s still lovely looking and I think you should keep it. :)
I have this bracelet and would buy again and again. I knew what I was getting myself into. I don’t baby it. I just care for it. I love it. Worst ever penny for me. Plus it was a gift from my wonderful husband.
I think this brand worth to try (if u have budget). Here u just missed information about the types of stones, that are easy to maintain and that need extra😅
This is crazy I buy smthing brand and ll damage it’s happening to me too but with the blue necklace 😮i can’t imagine I should remove it when go to the beach or shower why I bought it 🥹🥹🥹🥹
