Thank you for being so genuine and creating a product primarily marketed towards women that isn't just some scammy weightloss supplement. It feels good to be seen and have a brand that I will be proud to support. :)
I love how transparent this channel is! So important to be transparent with people and for them to understand the why behind certain supplements. Thanks Meg!
I appreciate you so much for this video. I’m one year in my weight loss/strength training journey and I love learning all I can about this lifetime process. You have made the information so easy to digest and you’ve directed me to the places I need to go to learn more. I literally have all my supplements on my bed in front of me and I’m reading as I listen to you. This is awesome! Best wishes on the launch of your products! I will be watching for them!
Three videos in... on a Meg Squats binge... these are the most helpful, truthful, encouraging bits of information I have found in my health journey. Thank you for demystifying muscle building and the fitness world for a novice “newb” like me! 😘🙏🏻
I really really appreciate that you’re not just like buy my supplements you’ll be strong! Unfortunately I have to work through my stash but I’m excited to try out your products on a future launch, good luck!!🧡
Meg thank you for being so honest in this confusing industry when it comes to supplements! You're enabling us to make educated choices..lots of love your way 😍😍🤗🤗
I'm ordering my 1st product from BuffChick today& Im looking forward to trying Creatine for the 1st time! I appreciate that you have created a brand we can trust.
Lovelovelovelove your channel! Been trying to find videos like this but everyone else comes off scammy or sales-pitchish but this always feel straight-forward and informative. Thanks, Meg! Doing God's work fr
Yes girl missed the last video but will watch it tonight doing cardio very excited for u to have a supplement co. The logo is awesome hopefully you sell shirts too because that shirt I need
Hey, Meg! I just wanted to say how much I appreciate how informative you are and how infectious your positive attitude is. Your videos make my day brighter, and I gain a lot more knowledge :D
Great video. I believe it should be noted that BCAA are found in whey protein powder. Most people who want to take BCAA are already taking whey protein. So no point in supplementing with BCAA too.
Meg, I'm so excited for the upcoming supplements products launch! It's true, you don't NEED supplements to be strong and healthy. There are a few I like using, though, as I feel they help me out in feeling stronger and more energetic in my workouts: I use creatine and BCAA's, I feel like I have more energy with these, and the BCAA's definitely help to prevents DOMS for me.
Love this video! So informative and honest about the industry in general. One thing I am curious is whether your products are specifically formulated for women?
This is a great question. Right now all of our initial products can be used regardless of sex. We do consider doses for the average female athlete, although studies support that those ingredients can be appropriate for healthy adults regardless of sex. In the future we'll be rolling out products that are more specifically relevant to this population (PMS, pregnancy, lactation, menopausal symptoms). I don't have a specific date for some of products yet, but we're in the research and development phase now!
Im looking into taking some of your supplements. I really look up to you and I'm trying to lose the remaining 50 pounds, lost 70 already. Watching your videos help keep me on track I hope one day I can help others just like you do. Thank you Meg
Good video had to go back to find out what an SFP was but didn't keep from understanding the rest but have been at this and talked to my doctors enough over the last 5 decades that have hit on some but certainly not all of this info. Green Power stuff was new to me, have heard of them but no idea what good any of them were or what was in them. Thanks again as always for your knowledge and enthusiasm
Every day is different, and most of it is spent behind my desk LOL. Now that Buff Chick will be launched, I'm hoping to do more exciting videos (I've been doing more talking videos lately). Thank you for the idea!
The only supplements I go for are greens (which I tend to get protein powder that have them in it already) and BCAAs because I hate drinking plain water. I hope you come out with some BCAAs eventually!
In my opinion the only "nutritional" supplements that work are creatine and protein powders. Not all supplements are created equal. There are low grade creatine supplements that are cut with all kinds of things and are not pure creatine. I really like Creapure creatine. Protein powders can say all kinds of things on the label but not have the listed amount of protein or the listed ingredients in them. For example, I bought egg white protein that was supposedly dairy free. Supposedly there were egg whites, cocoa powder, a sweetener, and one or two other things. No dairy. It had dairy in it because I am lactose intolerant and that stuff made me run to the bathroom after drinking it. Multivitamins/minerals, vitamins, calcium, fish oil, glucosamine, chondroitin are great supplements that I use; however, they aren't "nutritional" supplements like the ones marketed for athletes. The best pre-workout in my opinion is caffeine. I use liquid egg whites to make my post-workout smoothies. Liquid egg whites blended with bananas are great. Liquid egg whites mixed with juice is great. Liquid egg whites blended with bananas and strawberries is great.
Green foods and super foods are usually mixed or two different things if separate. Exactly, Ashwagandha, wheat grass Spirulina, adaptogens and things like that are in a super food powdered product with probiotics and enzymes. I’ve used super foods for years and I’m telling you up at age 42 I feel that it has benefited me my digestive system my skin and just the health of my organs and more.
I started taking Creatine 3 months ago and I just started noticing a little more hair loss than usual. I loved taking it for a fuller look and more energy and strength so I’m sad to go off it. I’m having other issues with stress and birth control so I’m trying to cut out certain things to pinpoint the cause of hair loss. I’m going to see how things go for a few months without Creatine and if it’s not the cause I’ll definitely start using it again! Would be helpful to make a video with more info on Creatine since women are starting to use it more.
I am a fan of creatine. Some research says that creatine can increase DHT hormone levels in the blood which in certain ppl can cause hair loss. That is a bummer. Elimination is a good way to rule out the cause of the hair loss for sure.
Hey Meg, do you have any information on creatin supplementation and its effects on menstrual cycle? Whenever I use creatin I notice that my cycle is out of line and I experience unnormal menstrual pain and intermenstrual bleeding. Love your videos and your authenticity 😊
Ahhh I wanted to know your thoughts on creatine for pregnancy. I normally take 3 grams per day but I can’t find information on creatine and pregnancy. 😩
I rarely find any Supplements that I would use or recommend. Most have more sugar than actual protein. Sugar spikes Insulin and that decreases mucle protein synthesis, so more often times than not it will acutually work against your gains.
My creatine is pure monohydrate, but each time I take it it makes my belly ache and I get bloated, i've tried couple of different ones but still does it, any advice?
Anyone getting into fitness should actually do some real research before putting anything in your body. There are supplements that work for muscle hardening, nitric oxide in the blood and so on. Look at labels and learn clinical doses...do your research!
I need to gain weight I am 90 pounds and 5 foot 1. I have tried almost every thing but nothing seems to work. I know its common for people to wanna loose weight but I wanna gain weight. Anything I should try?
Calculate your bmr and your daily caloric expenditure, you sound like you're not eating enough so like me need to eat at least 1800 or 2000 calories to gain weight
Once you figure out what Anna suggested, you’ll get more of a feel for your appetite and what it feels like to eat in a way that supports weight gain. Pay attention to caffeine levels because caffeine is an appetite suppressant, and if you’re having a hard time eating enough still, try liquid calories that are easy to get down (this doesn’t have to be supplements in powder form by the way, but protein powder may help!)
@@Megsquats Alright, I'll be more cautious of my cafine intake. And I'll start keeping track of daily calories. Anything else I should take into consideration or try?
@SMATT Not true at all, you're an idiot. It is natural, if you ate a lot of red meat you would get more creatine. If you ate a little over a pound of red meat a day you would be consuming almost as much creatine as most people supplement which is 5g/day
