That certainly took the confusion out of Put Bets. I have had dealers and player attempt to explain it to no avail. Google wasn't even able to explain it. Thanks for the very clear explanation. Nice to know I have options on a maxed out place bet.

When he was talking about the come bet number needing to hit twice, something I've done has been put my place bets up and then after I've recouped my money I start making come bets

Its hilarious how David speed rambles until 2:34 when Jeremy @ColorUp says "More simply..." and explains David's point in 10 words...then at at 3:04 David asks Jeremy if HE follows... like ya guy he follows, did you forget 30 seconds ago when he summed up 2 minutes of video in a single sentence...

Going through the Come for me is more about making the troughs more shallow. The Come bet acts as a bit of a hedge. I don't like to place 22 or 32 units out there to start a series like some do. I like to wade in.......with two or three points through the come......then add Place bets in my holes......once it heats up! The Put bet is new to me......and I will use it because I inevitably forget a Come bet or two every session. Makes sense they let you do that.......because the House is favored.......just like they'll let you take down your established Don't bets at any time.

There is no reason to make a Put bet on a 3-4-5X table.

Question: I am new to come bets. I only started playing them today after I saw the guy next to me doing really well with them. I didn't know how they worked. So I had a $800 bank. I was betting a $20 come bet (because I'm horrible at math) with a $110 inside bet. The table was a 5x,4x3x odds. I used my winnings on my place bets to supplement the odds to the max on my come bets once they hit. I ended up doing well walking away with a $1000 profit...but I also know this was unusually good and thats how some days the dice roll. Was there any advantage to this strategy?

Another trick way to use put bets is if you have 4 or 5 come bets and on a comeout roll. One can hop the 7s and use winner hop 7s to replace their come bets with put bets without starting over

Yeah, if you aren't already taking full odds, you are better off just adding to your odds than making a put bet. If you forget your come bet, switch to a place bet.

The only reason to make a Put bet is when your Place bets are at the table maximum.

I don’t want “help” that denies a single solitary chip of mine its ordinary benefit of enjoying the Comeout 8:4 advantage over wrong bets. Put bets are for overfunded Odds Obsessives.

Another thing on put bets is when the puck is off, they could lose the flats on a 7 front line winner.

Put bets really only make sense at higher than 5x odds and in reality only at a casino that allows 20x odd at a minimum. Puts weren’t uncommon at a casino I worked at that had 100x odds. And they almost NEVER make any sense on the 4&10 especially when they charge the vig on a win. If they charge juice on the bet, then at 20x odds, puts make sense there as well

All of that endless yapping by the Dealer & I still don't get what a Put bet is. Actually, I've never even heard of a put bet, I'll stick to Place Bets, Buy, & Pass Line. I sometimes do come bets if the table is red hot

Put bet = same as pass line or come bet but without benefit of come out roll. should be avoided except in very limited situations

is the top surface of the craps table bed 700mm high form the floor and the wall is 280mm tall? why are the seats at table games like black jack, baccarat set at a height that are uncomfortable to sit on?

There is no official standard on the craps table, they all vary.

The table bed is typically 28 inches from the floor.

So if I wanted to make a place bet on the 6 for $2400 but the table limit is $2000 with 5X odds, I could bet $1800 on the PB 6, $100 on the Put 6, and add $500 odds. If it wins, I'll win $2800, just as if it was an overlimit place bet.

It’s going to depend on casino what their rules are for going over the table limit as far as making a proper bet. But most casinos allow “any way to the number” so if they allow a $2400 place bet, you could also bet 300 put with $1500 odds or whatever amount they allow. Both bets together do not have to meet table min. They are separate bets that each can approach the table minimum.

This totally confused me. Watching your other videos where you put down chips and tell the dealer, for example, you want $96 across, what is that bet called? Are place bets and put bets different from that bet?

Yes completely different bets. A put bet is like a pass line bet with odds, but you get to pick the number it goes on. Problem is you bypass the most beneficial part of pass line bet, the come out roll.

Actually a PUT BET would also make sense if the casino allows you hedge it with a DONT COME to offset the COME BET... then you reap the benefits of placing the COME ODDS

Horseshoe in Bossier, LA used to have a off peak $5 on peak $10 table with 100x odds.

All this House edge % (Vig) is CRAP!!!! Play for a higher ROI "return on investment" and not a lower house advantage.------. Remember most tables in Vegas and around the country are only 3X-5X odds. Some tables are only 2X odds.

If player really want to bet on a certain number and add odds bet, they can use a put bet. They lose the huge advantage of come out roll, which is the only time the player is more likely to win than lose.
