Your title is a confusing clickbait and I fell for it🤦🏾♂️😂 instead bashing it all you did was mentioned minor cons meaning the headset works just fine
Respect your opinion had these headset since the day it came out, and i love them they are great and now that some games are producing great 3D audio effects now is icing on the cake i am looking at the steel series 7p+ but Sony pulse 3D is worth the buy and it matches PS5
I'm pleased with the Pulse honestly. Audio ist very good and with the Tempest PS5 Audio it's magnificent as long as you glplay a game that supports it like Forbidden West. Its limited atm, yes, but in the future there will be more games available. It fits me perfectly and I haven't had an issue. For the battery life. I don't play for longer than 5 hours tops, so that does not matter for me. Overall I'm happy 😊
I appreciate your review on this headset. I've debated for a while whether to get them or not, but I'm certainly not an audiophile. I tend to stay with $50 or less because that's about all I can afford. The limited availability of the 3D Audio feature and the sturdiness issues kill it for me. I guess I'll just save the money.
Thanks for watching! I’ve personally been using the Razer Kaira pros for a few weeks now and have really been liking them. Nice thing is they have 3 versions of this headset to fit all budgets ($60, $100 and $200) they may be worth checking out! I won’t have my review up for them for a couple weeks still but I’d pick them over the pulse any day.
3-D audio works with any headphones, you don’t need these. I use my Beats Studio 3’s and it’s amazing, granted those were 4x more expensive the point is it’s 3-D.
@@drigodamus And that's exactly what people are failing to realize. You don't need a pair of headphones that advertise "3D". The PS5 is doing all the footwork with its Tempest 3D audio, NOT the headphones.
My old Cloud II's sound way better to me, and the earcups do a way better job at blocking out background noise. They're not terrible and they're wireless so I'd say they're alright bang for the buck headphones. I'm just disappointed after seeing so many people praise the sound quality when it's really not that great
I love the pulse 3d. It sounds fantastic and accurate. The bass hits when it's needed. It also works on pc with the dongle fine. I like the white original verison. the only downside is battery life and maybe comfort is 7/10. I like that the cups are breathable but the top strap could be a bit better. It is PERFECT there is no isolation. Thanks to this, my ears do not sweat and I can hear doorbell or wife when she talks to me. I used to love koss porta pro and this actually is very similar in sound quality but wireless
does mic work well on pc ? im thinking this is gonna be my next headset for pc since i own logitech g935 and this one also have both wireless and 3.5 mm jack

Nice, you answered many of my questions about these. I need better comfort for the ears and I need better noise isolation on the mic. If this headset had those I'd get it.
@@mikey24k Just for PS5, I highly recommend the Barracuda X from Razer. But just like the Barracuda X are the Arctis 1 from SteelSeries which if you get the Xbox version, it’ll work wirelessly on everything.
I just bought a pair of these (white and black). The monitor button doesn’t seem to do anything. I can’t hear my own voice at all. Did I get a dud, or is this feature worthless?
1. I found the sound quality to be just OK and very bad when it comes to the speakers popping out and crackling. If I want to turn up the sound just one level higher than "normal", the speakers can't handle it. 2. Who needs more than a 12 hour battery life?!?!
Very comfortable compared to other headphones I’ve had, maybe I just got lucky and the build of the headphone goes well on my head pretty damn good sound quality, I’d recommend it honestly, sure there’s no noise cancelling yeah but you won’t find that to be much of an issue if you’re alone
All headsets have the ability to emit 3-D audio, it’s the manipulation of two speakers nothings changed, the tempest chip is in the PS5 and it in itself creates and disperses the 3-D effects..
If you connect them to the controller through the 3,5 mm jack, do they charge from the controller, or are they still connected through bluetooth and draining the battery?
@@DigitalCynics not, it is the wireless by far because then you can change on the PS5 the EQ settings, game changer, it uses the tempest software and 3D sound (with aux 3.5 it doesn't have 3d sound) i come from the logitech g933 with dolby audio 7.1 surround sound and the 3d pulse are not as good sounding on the bass, but they are very great balanced on mids and highs worth the update, a downgrade on PC/Mac, but actually an upgrade on the PS5
My rebuttal. My head is massive. Like John Travolta big. It's not uncomfortable to me. I also have massive ears. My family used to joke how if I catch the wind the right way, and they'd pull me uphill. I have stretched ears, with weighted rings. Still comfortable. The claim of how careful you are is sus too. I'm not. Super high lvl adhd. I've yet to see a single scratch on them. Going on 2 years of abuse. 🤣
I bought mine about a year ago, the headsets ear cushions are falling apart, the plastic is breaking in half. What a cheaply made headset. Probably the most disappointing product Sony has put out for PlayStation.
bro same mine just broke today and i also bought it about a year ago the plastic snapped in half just from putting it on and the even though the audio is good it doesn't feel like its 100 dollars good
Greetings. I watched this to determine if I should just use my Sennheiser Momentum 3 I use for music. That has no mic., and no USB-unit for connection. Does the PS5 have Bluetooth so it can work?
For the ps5 you have to use a dongle like the one included with the pulse if you want a bluetooth connection, other than that youd have to plug into your controller or the ports on the ps5

I got these as a gift and am super bummed- I get headaches/Jaw aches where the lower part of the padding reaches just beneath my ear. Even when I am just wearing for 15 mins! What bluetooth headset do you recommend that doesn't hurt?!
I feel like unless you have a gigantic head, the fit is so loose it's annoying to wear. They tried to copy the ski band design which SteelSeries has made famous, but it completely sucks.
Anyone having audio issues like muffled bass on battlefield2042 or crackling during explosive scenes any type of Audio issues with these???been trying to fix this since December now
Damn that's a bad scratch. I just moved 2k miles and threw all my shit in a box and it looks good cosmetically. That being said, the cups on these headphones are complete garbage.. After I bought I mine I notice a bit of separation, 8 months later, both cups looked terrible and were starting to come apart from under the cup. Ordered after market ones , easy install. 30 bucks though. We'll see how they last.
Dont let this guy fool you this headset is amazing. The sound quality is out of this world. I dont think i can play games with the sound from the tv anymore.
Great review. Spot on. If its not comfortable on you then these are not for you. But the sound quality is great for the money. They do feel a little like your kids can break them so those with kids beware. Other than that just take care of them like you would any other device/console you love .

I feel for people that wear glasses and headphones, I lasered my eyes and everything feels more comfortable looking back on it I should have lasered way earlier because glasses retrospectively made everything more uncomfortable including headphones.
Im not too fussed about sound quality but I use them as actual headphones regularly and the battery life is indeed an issue. On top of that they have begun to fall apart. The material that covers the speakers in the ear cups has stripped and the material on the outside has become untucked from the plastic casing. I dont think I've had them for a year yet. It's nice to keep everything on brand but otherwise, pretty average.
Exactly same case here. The “leather” film is out of place now. One of the speaker is showing the foam. The sound is awesome but the build quality for the speakers cover is awful
@@09monos I bought some relatively cheap replacement foam cups from Amazon but I shouldnt have to really. Also having to reglue the mesh over the speakers isn't ideal either.
I honestly think this opinion is so off base it's funny. The headset is affordable especially considering the ps4 gold was only a little cheaper. I have the pulse 3d set for my ps5 and they are awesome. I like many others cannot get on board with this post at all. I really think you just titled this for shock value and people to see, "oh what's on the go with that? I found this video silly honestly, didn't even watch it all. Going to be hard to increase those subs of yours with posts like this imo. Try again next time 👍
I’m pretty sure all previous Sony headsets have been circular in the cups, I’ve always hated how reviewers bend headsets to the breaking point, I get some people leave headsets on their bed and they might lay on them accidentally but come on stop using that threshold as a con, also I highly recommend a turtle beach stealth 600 gen 2 if $100 is all you got they’re only $80 as of writing this right now, only Sony games that use their new sound engine will be able use 3d audio of this headset
This is a Sony PlayStation Proprietary Device that is supposed to be wireless….. …..IT ISN’T WIRELESS!!!!! If I have to use a “dongle” for a device that is built for the system, then that is an automatic fail. Did you try the others?

If you made it to the end of the video I state that for the price these are a fine purchase but there are better options out there if you’re willing to spend the extra money. I still use these as a back up and they do the job. let’s not sit here and make these sound like the holy grail of headsets though. They are decent at best.
@@DigitalCynics they doesn't have noise cancellation, it is just passive noise cancellation. Sure 12 hours, there are options with 30 hours in the same price tag, but perfect enough for 8 hours of home office + gaming about 3-4 hours daily and charging at the end of the day/night
You are right, they don’t advertise noise cancellation. I was more comparing the noise isolation to other headsets around the same price that also do not advertise any sort of noise reduction that still isolate it better. Also yes the battery is fine if you’re plugging in every night which plenty of people do. If you can shell out a little bit more for a headset then I would never recommend these but if your budget is a strict $100 then these are not a bad pick up.
The mic is garbage overall this headset should be 20$ it's a piece of junk. My buddy had this headset and in-game chat I had to have him repeat his sentences everytime because we couldn't understand him.. If you want a good headset for a worthy price for PS or XBOX get the steelseries arctis 1,3,7 or 9x. Best headsets for gaming on console and extremely comfortable and long 18 hr or more battery life.
Absolute garbage headphones. Yes they work perfectly, but they sound AWFUL. I understand everything is subjective, but I am replacing my beloved LucidSound LS30s and I guess I’m spoiled. These went back in the box in 2 minutes. Insta-Return. Check out the LS15s for under $100.

Pulse 3d is total garbage. Extremely uncomfortable with very average sound. I think design is beautiful but the experience is very bad. I love Sony, but this product is deception. Very disappointed and don't recommend.
Review is spot on. Pulse 3d is not comfortable, it's not build for human ear. Sound is good after eq, one of the best for this price point. But it doesn't matter since those are so uncomfortable.
