when they compared 4G and 5G, they had WIFI ON 0:09 edit: horribly wrong, 5G doesn't work on iPhone due to the Qualcomm and Apple lawsuit, so they used WIFI, and slowed it down to Theoretical speeds (look in the bottom left), sorry!

5G doesn't matter if your mobile carrier is going to throttle you anyways *cough cough* Verizon. Even in NYC, 4G LTE isn't reliable in some parts like herald square Mobile carriers should worry about fixing their own service issues first like throttling and increasing bandwidth somehow. 4G LTE hasn't even been perfected, I don't get maximum 4g lte speeds even on my OnePlus 6t which reviewers got 100mbps in midtown in which i only get 10 from same tmobile network

Let’s quickly analyze why 5G makes no sense for a lot of people: -Previous “G” upgrades provided significant data increases while still being feasible for scale; 5G does not meet the latter requirement. -This is *cell service.* 5G can only be practically installed in dense urban areas, which means a lot of the population will be indoors, where they will likely be connected to WiFi. If not, the 5G band is too low-energy to penetrate the walls of the building and will therefore be useless. -Most business needs would be better served by gigabit Ethernet and a good router. -Basically no one in rural areas will get it. Period. I’d much rather prefer *full* 4G coverage over 5G, but they can’t market that and the incentive just isn’t there for cell service providers.

People also said that when 4G came out, y'all were so dubious when it first released. Nowadays, many people can't live without 4G connections. As I mentioned before with the Samsung Galaxy Fold, people crave for new technology, but they extremely want something new to fail just to feel good and be able to tell others "I told you it didn't work".

The sheer amount of people criticizing this 'new technology' is making me think that people don't know that everything is trial and error at some point.

5G can also operate on lower frequencies allowing it to transmit farther meaning rural areas will basically be the exact same as before (learned this in my networks class)

People who get concerned about cancer from microwave range wavelengths failed in either high school physics, high school biology, or both. You're literally more likely to get cancer from a lamp or from infrared heat since they're shorter wavelength and higher frequency than microwaves. And in order for you to get radiation induced cancer the radiation needs to be powerful enough to ionize and damage your dna, causing cancer inducing mutations, and you only start reaching that level in the ultraviolet, so if you're so worried about radiation induced cancer, worry about the biggest source of dangerous radiation in our lives, the sun, and use sunscreen. If anything they should be worried about it interfering with their wifi signals cause that's a more realistic outcome Edit: I'm not saying visible light and infrared give you cancer, i was saying they are more energetic (therefore, have more ionizing potential) than microwaves and even THEY are harmless. So being scared of getting cancer from microwaves is dumber than being scared of cancer from lightbulbs.

owning a 5G smartphone in a 4G location is like owning a 4k UHD tv and 720p movies..

Also, more nodes means higher fiselity for tracking ;) much easier to find where you are when there is a node each 1k feet

watching this in June 2021 and it's just starting to roll out in my country. and even then it's only in 4 area in and around the capital city.

I would say no to 5g becuz when it was first tested within few hours 400 birds died . My wifi and mobile data(4g) is good but the ping tho......

Here in finland we have this thing called ''Elisa'' an operator that released 5G Last year,i think it was like before or after summer.anyways the funny part was that there where no phones or any other devices that did support 5g.didnt work so great for ''Elisa'' and then they disabled 5g no longer than month after its release.
