I too am pondering a move to Orlando next year, but I am currently living in Boulder, Colorado. What was it like for you to adapt to the weather change? I feel if I move to Orlando I will have to shave my head. Ha
Really awesome video covering a lot of points in a short time. I think the gators, insurance, and hurricanes will keep me away from moving to Florida! Thanks!
I lived in Orlando for the last 8 years... Moved from Miami... If you would like to see and feel all the cons that she mentioned on this video multiplied x 10; go to South Florida (Miami-Dade / Broward, / Palm Beach)... Oh, you are going to enjoy hell.
Also, the summer when we are supposed to be outside is our rainy season, and it's not just limited to the afternoon, although it is afternoon the majority of the time. Also, February can go up to the 90s.
@@seektounderstand your sentence is grammatically incoherent. Sounds like you need an education. Maybe you are one of the drivers from other parts of the world?
I love Orlando Florida so much, I want to live there! I'm so thankful I watched this video because I've learned the Pros and Cons about living in Orlando Florida. One thing I want to be aware of is the hurricane, Insurance for the rent, and putting gas for my car before I deal with traffic. I miss Disney World Animal Kingdom so much! I haven't been there since 2011 and I would like to work for them as a Zookeeper to make a lot of money or become a millionaire because it is beautiful there. I could also enjoy and spend time at the Swimming pool, Roller Coasters and watching the parade at Magic Kingdom. I additionally want to move to Orlando or Kissimmee Florida because I've been dreaming about this since I was a kid and I'm looking forward to it for the future!
Where are schools as a con? We lived in Orlando for 11 years and having two of our kids go through public schools was very stressful. In high school they had gangs, bomb threats, daily fights, "things" happening in the bathrooms.. And, we were in Clermont which isn't as bad as in other areas. We moved out of state recently so our youngest wouldn't have the same experience. The humidity is no joke and hurricanes are stressful because we feared property damage. Loved the afternoon thunderstorms though. Tourists aren't bad if you stay out of those zones unless you want to visit a tourist destination of course. We live in Colorado now where it is dry and cooler.. but the snow isn't awesome. I love wearing heavier clothing and I actually find shoveling snow fun and relaxing. Driving in the snow is a different story. Its the worst thing here. In general, no snow is Florida is a definite plus.
The problem with Florida food overall is that there's hardly any regulation. Meaning, the kitchen ppl there don't have to wear gloves. The chefs doesn't need to spend money hand gloves. I know because i used to live in Florida. I used to work in one of the nicest hotels. Trust me. You're safer cooking and eating your own food.
Orlando FL is full of "new" workers: service trades. Food quality, safety can vary. Down town Orlando has a few + spots but casual dining chains, QSRs are common. Sand Lake Rd has Restaurant Row. A few + places.
There is enough regulation , many places are cleaner and more modern than other parts of the country . Gloves can give a false sense of security and actually transfer contaminants that you don’t feel . Well wash hands constantly , paying attention to cross contamination plus gloves will always help .
What’s the best areas in Orlando to live in to avoid the traffic issues I have bad ptsd with bad drivers. Looking for homes preferably on the outskirts that range from 400k - 600k
youre video is amazing and I loved the details! But please your microphone was very muffled and I could barely hear you, I had to put the volume in 100.
Only move to Orlando if you love insane aggressive drivers, bumper to bumper traffic and daily commute delays, incredibly hot and humid weather 7 months of the year....and shopping.
The cost of living, the traffic ,the floods ,panhandle around the streets and the bugs and flies would stop me from moving to orlando.i am not looking only for sunshine place but a quiet place to enjoy my retirement.anyway thanks for your video.
Having a governor deep in the pockets of the insurance industry (his biggest donors) has led to skyrocketing homeowners and auto insurance rates. But move here anyway. Buy my house!
Corruption, graft, 2 faced city, county, school board, workers, mayors are common. They run scams, ignore problems, have awards 🎖 parades to each other. Ignore the civil affairs, lies, problems.
We will say Orlando is a more spread out city, so it isn't as walkable as some other cities, but we do have a couple options for public transport listed below. Here are the local options for public transportation. Sunrail train: sunrail.com/ Orlando Bus: www.golynx.com/maps-schedules/routes-schedules.stml
Lynx bus service is ok. $2 each fare or a 1 day pass for $4.50. Sun Pass rail is good for short trips. 🚆 FL has the new Bright Line rail format. A few cruise ship 🚢 ports are within 45-60min. Easy commute. GOAA, MCO airports are ok. Could get packed quickly but $$$ is being spent on new services, terminals.
See Florida DEO. The state UC rate 💰 is 48th out of 50. In 2024, it is still $275/week. Florida along with the hotels, food service, tourist lines keeps unemployment down so people apply to hourly low wage tourism jobs. Disney does NOT pay high wages to full time "cast members". Universal Studios is lame too.
You know that saying” if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere “ well those people who didn’t make it in New York have flooded central Florida with their crappy political Views and attitudes. Orlando sucks now.
Florida in general is falling apart, in nearly every demographic known to man. Move there and you'll see. It is the state of diminishing returns. Glad i got out years ago.
Yes; Orlando FL is 🔵 mainly. The mayor- John Buddy Dyer, D-FL is now in his final term. Ends 2027. Most of the Orlando commissioners are DNC. Orlando & Orange County politics are mainly no one cares, elected offices ignore or avoid crime, gangs, traffic issues, civil engineering problems. They all make $$$ & live in 🏘 HOAs.
Our political views are the reason your state doesn't look like Mississippi. We bring money while you vote for trailer park wages. We own your state. Fox & the trump cult fried your brain
