So true. Reminds me of when I retired from nursing two years ago. So many of my co-workers wanted to leave with me, and oh my patients just couldn't take it. I touched a lot of lives, but it was time to move on. I'm still in contact daily with them. Hallelujah.

Kind sometimes and gone (that can mean tinkering on their car all day right beside the house and not being engaged with their family (except in and out just to remind you they are not engaging with you) [nothing worse that a narcissist hates than to be forgotten] (for example my children didn't even cry or blink when their dad left to meet up with his friends on Christmas day while lying to me about where he was going; its sad but they are used to his absence) anyway a trauma bonding narcissist most times especially when it matters (like special occasions) will dip out on you to spend time with and reap benefits from the highest bidder. While also using their absences as a form of control over you. That is using absence as abuse. I stay away from people like that to protect my heart from further pain. Use wisdom family. Even if you have to live with them until your children are grown ;)
