If I farm live arena I will wind up with very significant bonuses. But also the chance of me quitting the game and making all that work meaningless also goes up.

@@Insurgens That's fair, except if Raid continues to make already-existing content difficult for no apparent reason, people will have less and less options for realistically following your advice.
The issue with great hall is the absolute slog it takes to do *anything*. When you earn 3 or 4 currency to level it up, and it's requiring 600 or 700 currency at a time, it takes AGES to get anywhere. I have been playing daily for 3 months and I just got my first accuracy to 10/10. Math it out and it's gonna take 3 or 4 years to max the whole great hall. That's not worth it, nothing in a videogame is worth waiting 3 or 4 years.
There's also the fact that without *really good gear* you're not winning gold medals. The arena needs a complete rework, or a massive catchup mechanic to be implemented.
Just swipe you cc and buy arena tokens. Mobile games are based on things takes real life time. Also the big reason why people spend to save time. If you not like this concept then mobile gaming is deff not for you.
As a low spender who has a solid but not not crazy account who's been playing for over 4 years, I'm now to the point at which the littlest things make a huge difference. Thank you for this video. Frustration (and silver) is my biggest enemy right now and I need all of the help you can give me (and this helps a lot). This video has helped me keep a very frustrating aspect of the game in perspective.
I uni stalled after 5 years as most legos I have aren't even relevant anymore. Yet I still watch your videos because you always spill the tea on this game to us. Thanks bro. I wish plarium made a way we could recycle level 60 champs and get our shards and reclaim all resources we've wasted, but yeah don't see that happening. I will never understand why Plariums loves their PvP so much. i hate PvP in every game i play and avoid it because it kills my mood to deal with other players snd their P2W mentality. so i really dislike that i cant stop do arena because they connected stat boni with arena ranks and i even more DISLIKE that they connect live arena with stat boni for PVE areas of the game. its so lame and stupid. if you love pvp okay fine but why is there absolutely no other wayt to get this boni?
I want an Arena auto-battle feature so I can click the teams I want to face and then go cut grass or pressure wash the driveway-something that would be fun compared to playing in the arena. Same for the tag team arena. I can hardly force myself to play it it's so dull.
Strong video... Another point you should make (the next time you talk about gear) is how important near perfect gear is to champion performance. Almost every ATK damage dealer video I watch has an Attack Ring with multiple rolls on Attack percentage. And it frustrates players when we see 300 percent Crit Damage on a champ that also has insane accuracy, or perhaps HP or some other stat... only to find perfect substats on the gear. I am convinced the priorities of this game are Clan Boss progression early, Great Hall Grind, and prayer for three arena nukers to help you advance in Arena and 3v3. Players should play a game called Arena Shadow legends for a year. Then Faction Wars Shadow Legends. There's a lot of focus on fusions, but for early gamers... the focus should be on Arena, Gear, and prayer for arena nukers. Thanks for the video.

I am the world champion at completely failing to successfully roll my gear. If I got legendary gauntlets with crit rate, crit damage, speed and HP%. It will all go into HP %. It’s absolutely comical how much this happens to me.
getting a Mythical really is like a luck of the draw I've been playing for 3 years and only just got my first one this year and it was like on the 30th mythical shard during a boosted event. It really has to do with luck
I was saving any non dupe epics so when Mikage came out, I was only missing out like two epics and I collected them during their events plarium. And she is an absolute beast of a champion
Adding a little extra to that bit about the impact of masteries on Clan Boss. Even refreshing masteries, accessories, and artifacts can mess with your speed tune by throwing turn meter boosts and unkillable/block damage out of sync Even counterattacks can throw champs out of tune if the A1 has a TM boost (such as Ninja)

As a very low spender.. but someone who takes advantage of every free area of the game.. My timeline was about 2 years to beat faction wars and get all the good Glyphs. About 2 1/2 years to get access to enough real end gear artifacts and accessories to start being able to build most of my top leggendaries right. I've been playing for 3 1/2 years and have my classic arena great hall about 3/4 complete. There is so much good gear available in other areas now that I pretty much ignore classic dungeons, just don't waste energy on them ever except for fusions. I save my gems for masteries so that's very doable f2p. Gear ascension is pretty possible to a point, but the separation happens at level 25 when you get the dust.. most f2p can't get to the final level. To me that's about where f2p possibilities end if I'm comparing my account to a whale. Full legendary faction guardians are for whales, multiple champion empowerments are for whales, blessings on so many champions are for whales, live arena area bonuses.. imo.. are for whales, after winning maybe 10-15 battles live arena I hit the paywall where the whales start to show up. Live arena goes from easy to insane.. there's no middle ground. And now the most obvious whale advantage.. mythicals. Now just doing CB doesn't keep you near equal ground anymore. As soon as they came out with primal shards.. It's becoming a completely different game for spenders, and it definitely looks like mythicals are going to take over all top spots in the next couple years. I guess what I'm saying is.. there's a ton you can do as a f2p or low spender willing to put in a few years of grinding and taking advantage of all free areas.. but when it comes to things like blessings.. you just have to get used to the idea that whales will always have a huge advantage. I'm fine with that, but I hate it when whales try and pretend... this is possible as f2p. Not saying that's what Ash does btw.
Just depends on how much time of those years are spent min/maxing. I have a clanmate who is 100% f2p and is in G4 LA. Can farm almost anything I can as p2w and nearly as fast. Even nearly clearing Hard Cursed City
@riddiculous87 You found one (maybe two) examples of a f2p who must have been very lucky in drawing one or two mythicals, and pulling a 6 star soul for his entire arena team. That is 100% not the norm, has nothing to do with "min/maxing". To compete at the top in live arena 90% of people are big spenders. It's ridiculous to think otherwise. Of course you will be able to find the 10% who do it f2p, who just happened to get very lucky not only with champion pulls, but also with 5-6 star souls for those champions. I'm a low spender.. have beaten all areas of the game.. dt hard all rotations, faction wars, 1 key hydra nightmare.. ect.. I get absolutely dominated when I get to live arena gold. Doesn't matter how well I understand strategy.. There's just no way to compete with certian teams that are mostly mythicals, sometimes empowered, all with 6 star souls. You know a lot of f2p that fit that criteria? I'm not saying I don't believe that you know someone who's f2p that is high up in live arena.. It's bound to happen now and then that a f2p has crazy luck in champion draws. But simply knowing who to min/max is the easy part. If you've played long enough.. getting end game gear is doable. Ascending top gear to 6 star is even doable. Where the separation starts happening is blessings, and a constantly changing meta that is usually about 15-20 champions on top. To compete you not only need to get lucky enough to draw 5 of those 15-20.. you also have to get 5-6 star souls for all of those champs, and very top level you need to empower those 5 champs with dupes.. as the meta leans more and more to those top 15 being over 50% mythicals.. f2p drawing that many mythicals, let alone empowering them.. you have to admit that is a crazy long shot.
Pve and pvp should never mix. Pretty ridiculous I am forced to do live arena, a mode I find less fun than any other mode I’ve ever played in a game, just to get bonuses for pve content.
Stg this is the most bullshit thing in all of Raid. Even Summoner's War changed it so you can max your stat bonuses by PLAYING THE GAME. It kept me from quitting, deadass.

When I first started Raid, I never took arena too seriously. I literally did 5 matches just to satisfy the daily quest and that was it. Seeing your completed Great Hall for the first time inspired me. The night i completed mine was such an awesome feeling. Currently grinding out area bonuses now.
This is a really valuable video to see. I am not a huge fan of Arena, but the benefits really do stretch into PVE a lot more than I had thought. I have seen it said a ton, but never really took notice. I have made the mistake too many times of investing in champs to replicate a CC team, and come woefully short of the numbers. I need to start taking the time to understand my teams will be 25% of a CC's output. Thanks for the great content as always ASH.

Could you do a vid or two about progressing in the arena for people who need help so they will benefit long term from maxing great hall & area bonuses. Maybe share teams or comps to watch out for or when to auto or manel arena battles. Maybe show a breakdown of some useful early, mid, and late game teams mostly accessible for most players. Don't know if what I suggested helps, but just trying for other players benefit. Thank you again bro!!
You can get glyphs sometimes in tournaments and events. When you see the 6-star ones, get them. I also think I didn't really paid attention to affinity the first year I played. With rare exceptions, it really, really matters.
I must say that your guide makes me play this game because what u say works fine...but u need to farm gears...in low equipment but with your strategy i have a lot of progress...but people must understand that u need to spent some silver to make changes...u have progress and u have changes...thats all thx a lot buddy and keep it alive...love from greece
I don’t mind playing Classic Arena to get bonuses for different rarities of champions, even though it's not my favorite mode. I understand its purpose. However, being forced to play Live Arena for bonuses in areas I regularly engage with doesn’t make sense. Plarium should know their player base better by now, but it feels like they don’t. As regular players, we understand that there are three types of players in Raid: those who play PvP, those who play PvE, and those who play both. The issue is that PvP players can focus solely on PvP without touching PvE unless needed, but PvE players still have to play two out of the three PvP modes just to get the bonuses needed for PvE. I can tolerate Classic Arena, but I don’t enjoy Live Arena. First, I don’t have good champions for it. Second, my gear isn’t strong enough. Third, I’ve lost 98% of the matches I’ve played, to the point where just seeing the green light for Live Arena frustrates me. That’s not how a game mode should be designed. The game should allow players to tackle a mode when they feel ready, with better champions and gear. Instead, they force you to play a mode you're not equipped for, leading to a series of bad experiences that make you want to avoid it altogether, whether you’re ready later or not.
This is the point though, for whales to have some poor f2p dudes to lord around, but nobody would do it without any incentive. Real mistake (from their perspective) was to not add any reward for participation, but only for winning. If i get some reward for even just autoclicking and being there so some whale could smack me up i would probably still do it, but there iz literally zero incentive now when i lost not even 98% but round 100% matches in there. It would also improve experience for all players if the participation risen. Also all pvp modes needs to have fixed bracket like classic arena instead of the crap in 3v3 where ou met with million strong terams even in bronze 2 ffs and progressing there is nearly impossible.
I remember years ago picking up septimus and watching ur video on him destroying everything. Then mine sucking. Thats when i learned take cc contententa with a grain of salt
I feel like masteries is huge. The number of people in my clan / cluster who complain about not being able to "do what I do" so to speak and then it turns out that despite having tens of thousands of gems they refuse to get masteries for any champion that isn't a 5* on Hellhades or hyped by their favorite RU-vidr is fucking wiiiild, especially with how much of a juicy loot pinata Cursed City is every month once you get more stages on farm. Spend energy on an epic's masteries?! The mere suggestion!
How you see difference of old legendary and new? New ones has ton of specials when old one only special was AoE hit or TWO. Old one also needed libraries to visit.

I think the biggest mistake that players make is thinking they need or should try to keep up with RU-vid creators rather than just using them as a guide for what direction to go in but play at your own pace. You can watch Ash do 1M hit damage and be entertained and try to work up to that and still be happy with your 5k damage bump up to 15k after you followed some tips from the channel.
How much wins in great hall should you be getting in your arena a week? And in live arena a day (if you’re okay on spending gems which I am)? I am on 200 arena wins this week in arena. I try to get 15-20 wins in live arena daily and will usually up to 50-70 gems to try get gold shields. Even at that it will feel like forever before I’m able to max at least one afinity or one area
I can’t even tell you how long it took me to get my sand devil team to work because of the blessing I’d had on the champ since the beginning of time and didn’t even think about.
You forgot speed, as in time it takes to complete a stage. Most content creators are on a computer that’s set at unlimited frame rates. I play on iPhone set at 30hz ( better battery life) but when same stage run on my iPad (50hz) completes 10-20 seconds faster. Same account, same team, different times due to higher refresh rate game is set to run. I like turn based events for this reason. 5 turn spider run nets same points for every account completing that same stage.
Hey Ash, would be really nice if you did a video on what it means to be end game. I know there's a lot of players that have their accounts at level 100 but still cant do some content. Plarium recently announced that the Hydra Boss is meant to be endgame which got me questioning myself what that really means. Not all accounts are the same so when will I really know I'm at endgame level

Other than the AI praise, great video. We need to be cautious about the AI stuff. Leaning heavily on it can and has gotten people canceled. Such as when they use AI-generated art or music. Lots of people are against it. I know those are a cheap out, but people rather see actual people to get hired for work, rather than someone type something in and have AI rip off artists. Plus with the Google AI search results, it isn't always right. Trust those sites it lists far more than the AI results.
There's a sht load of resources to consider. There's the gear, then the gear upgrading and then the stats that you just can't find. In example, I'm up to past 30 boots alone from the forge, not one with speed as primary stats.

So, question about affinity matchups. In strong affinity matchups i have a built in 15% crit rate? So i only have to build for 85% if im the stronger affinity. That is actually huge.
as a new player u r lucky if u can hit 15k power on 1 champ but ull get to 33k power easily with some gear. It takes a lot more time to hit 60k power though... and with gh maxed out u can get to 100k power on a champ
with gear ascending, you can go way over 100k, im nowhere near maxed, sill getting 3rd bonus to 10 mission, and my best champs are over 90k, my mythicals are over 150k
If plarium would change anything about the game it should be the shard rates, so many ppl have been here since the beginning, have spent thousands of dollars and still dont have a single mythical champion or half the legendary champions. That would at least be the stuff i would like fixed.
I was asking myself this same question yesterday I look at someone’s legend there hitting for 120,000 I get on mines and put my character for the same stats and build n they hit for 86,000
One of the big reason is RU-vidrs and HellHades are rating some champions wrong and people are puting them in the Vault. Best exemple is Islin. They rated that on 3 STAR on HellHades. And that guy ALONE can cary your all account from midle game to END GAME. Hell hades said in a video that they even not did that fusion. ASH WHEN U WILL TEST HIM ?
This is the reason why I finally quit Raid. I made a CB team exactly like the one Deadwood Jedi had, identical. His team kept kicking Clan Boss every time. Mine kept losing. I still don't know why that happens, but screw that game. Not interested anymore.
You know it just tickles me so much that my plus 1 1 star ascended Nogdar. Who is in meh nuker gear compared to you. You would scrap my gear more then likely that he is wearing. He has no masteries no books!!! So I sit here laughing because he also has none of the insane bonuses because I never devoted to arena. Yet I still use him in silver live arena and regular arena. To just completely destroy the meta defence teams it's hillarious. I won against several level 100 pay to win teams earlier today. Just because of nogdar being on the squad.
To clarify I am going hard on arena now. In in gold 4 arena using him to clear all ten usually sometimes I get outran because I'm ftp 😆 🤣 no chance against your type of gear. That will change though I gonna smash this event dungeon when it comes up during the new fusion for its last run.
I wouldn’t be surprised if content creators get a secret +10% to stats.. or even to pull rates - for every 6 star souls you get as a Lego/mythic., regular joe gets a 6star rare… has to be something behind the curtain slanting things 🤷🏻♂️ 3.5 years in and my main PvP team is still using Arix and Scyl because the lack of PvP viable champs.. Too often I see a weak affinity support champ 1 shot a defence tank..
People underestimate the effects Player Power has on an account as well. I dropped gear off all my champ’s during a free gear removal & even though I rebuilt them better/stronger I was losing battles I’d previously had no issues winning until I started to get back near my previous power level, then I started to progress.
Glyphs are part of gear. Gear neccessary to upgrade great hall. Can't do Hydra without good gear. Need gear to beat Iron Twins for awakening 😂 This all boils down to gear lmao.
Mercy system is one thing ( I believe it is rigged anyways) but for example when it comes to mythical champions, its either game gives you one if you are new to get you hooked up, or if you pay certain amount of money then the game will give you one or two anyways. I can't get the mythical if my life depended on it, it;s just not happening. So I don't believe in this mercy system or anything else. Same goes for legendaries and whatever you want to get
My area bonuses are bare, because I don't do Live Arena. I don't get more than 5 masteries for any champ due to cost. I don't even have the champs RU-vidrs have.
