An added note for those who wear synthetic fabrics is that sun exposure will damage the fibers over time as well and cause pilling.

Love the vibe, you made fabric pilling interesting, educational and watchable. My only wish is that you had put the fabric comb in your product list. There are about 3 million on Amazon with varying reviews and I don’t want to get one that ruins my clothes…I still found your video very informative. At least I have a direction to go. Thank you!

using a cheap shaving rasor is actually a thing I did during my military service. we'd shave our barretes in order to remove the fuzz (and thus, the bulk they create). we'd actually joke around that those who dont shave their barretes have a "cat" on their shoulder/head, since they were so fuzzy and bulky it looked like an animal from a distance XD

Spectator shoes were popularized in the 30's, but got their namesake from spectators, and especially referees, of sporting events. Spectator shoes are less formal than a derby and more formal than monk straps. They're best worn with informal suits, although I have seen black spectators worn at maximum with stroller suits in 30's illustrations (and done so myself). Keep to classic styles of brown/black and white leather. Pair your belt to the non-white leather. Make sure your outfit is subtle enough to accomodate louder shoes like these. Lastly, shining them professionally might be best if you're unsure about your own ability to polish two-tone shoes.

I don't think we'll see it any time soon. Frock coats were done away by Edward VIII in the 30's. While you may see them once in a very rare while for some traditional ceremony, they're not really seen in practical settings such as the Royal Ascot Derby or traditional English weddings, which are practically the only times a man will wear morning dress anymore.

I've found that a pocket knife works just as well in a pinch as a cheap razor. Though, probably better for tighter weaves than for knitwear. Just need to be careful about cutting the fabric, but it's the same idea as shaving

I got a new dress 4 days ago. Wore it today for the first time and my barbour apparently rubbed it a bit creating on the dress's soft material some annoying fuzz balls. I am debating throwing it away but this would be so wasteful and somehow wrong, after having worn it only once. Let's hope your video will save my classy Italian dress. :D

Hi GG Team, Entertaining and Informing as always. I wanted to propose a content idea. I’ve recently acquired a copy of Emily Post’s Etiquette and I am enthralled. The guidelines of gentlemanly behavior are so apparent yet so nuanced. I think a series of videos going through each section of the book would be very well received - providing commentary, exceptions, anecdotes. There are etiquette videos on the channel, but this book is universal and goes incredibly in depth. Cheers and thank you as always

@@JoJo-xp6wr Depends on what you have to carry. I'd argue it's a stylish detail, but it's not worth breaking your arm over. Keep in mind most businessmen don't have to run around with numerous textbooks. I used to carry a black canvas bag with leather details. It allowed me to carry a couple of textbooks, along with other schooling essentials all the while looking more stylish than a backpack.
