Gentlemen they do come back. Have self respect and get on with your life and get them out. Now depending on the situation and what they did I would consider getting back but if they left you and got with someone else never take them back in your life. Im 10 months of no contact without any sign of contact from her. Last week was horrible I felt like all the confidence that I have in the beginning was shit and with no hope anymore because she’s dating someone I was suspicious since the beginning. Im trying to hold on because I understand that no message that I can send to her will cause any change because she left me and hasn’t contact me is because she doesn’t want me.
All you can do is improve yourself to the point where you blow him out of the water. Chances are decent the new guy will make mistakes eventually and if she sees that you’ve made all these substantial improvements, you greatly increase your chances of her reaching out

Here is an interesting one for you. Coach Lee states that they have to miss you and feel lonely to make them feel like they want to come back to you. However, my ex GF, said that she would only start dating again when she isn't feeling lonely, because she only wants to date again because she wants to, not because she feels lonely. Men and women are different. . What your gf meant was she needs to move on from you before she will date another man again. Women usually never come back if you take her for granted. . What coach Lee taught is only effective at first but wont last forever.
No don't wish them happy birthday, doesn't matter how tempting it is. They left you so why should you give them your attention? If anything, they'll think about you more if you don't say happy birthday. It shows you're moving on and don't need them. The fear of loss is what causes the reattraction. Stay strong and stay on no contact.
