Or cell phones are necessary for people, and while traveling you need to have it wherever you go. Airplane mode will allow people to bring along their phones while at the same time not risking interference. It’s just whether some arrogant fat moron complies or not.

Hmmm an actual 747 pilot explained that it's not actually important to use airplane mode, because it doesn't really affect much. It's only better to turn the mode on during flight because, for example, at 30,000 feet you can't reach any signals so you're wasting your phone battery. If they had actually interfered with navigation devices, we wouldn't be allowed to take them on planes at all.

I was in an airplane this year 1 month ago, The airplane gives you wi-fi for watching or things that needs wi-fi, Its still slow tho so thats why they allow it on singapore airlines.
