Why Your Right Hand Peeks SUCK 

Crazy how unnoticed you go given how unique and helpful your content is

You just answered a question before I had the question, I was always wondering how players shot me even though I had a right hand peek but now I know all I need to do is back up and keep my distance a little more.

Honestly though this vid is facts, the real power of peeks is movement. If you’re not strafing at full speed, you won’t have peeker’s advantage/favorable character position latency. Just make sure you guys are moving as fast as possible to the side.

I understand this and use it against players frequently, its a really good habit to punish bad right-hand peeks and will help alot in most situations

Against most players (yes even pros) a bad right hand peek still works in your favor. The damage amount shown in the vid is way lower than the damage the peeker can do with a full peek. I taught myself to be more aware of my health and what peeks i should make.

Wow very informative! I always struggled with window peeks because it was so awkward for me to not shoot the wall. I never realized that all it takes is to step back!

Same with csgo, i already knew this but its a nice vid! I started using the u ramp for a week now and found new strats but its not ideal against overbuilders

I can't wait to see a Fortnite BR creator who comes up with a peeking video that literally covers all (or at least most) scenarios and goes in detail explaining the best approaches in each situation. I know, for many kids it comes naturally. I'm an old (in a Fortnite context) gamer-dad trying to become a better duo for my son, and I have to marinate on every concept for a while... nothing comes naturally and easily, tons of effort. But, when I finally 'get it', then I can start improving first practising in creative with bots, and then on actual players. There are still tons of situations where I'm just not sure what the correct peek would be. Hesitation and sub-optimal peeks get me killed, even though my mechanics are decent (for casual). Thanks for your video.

I swear to god today i was looking for a mechanics top veiw and with building swear im going to be one of the best not pro but better unstoppable really, if you can understand this have good bindings do 1v1 build fights with every weapon all day. You can get better i like fortnite for this purpose its technical

I’m a controller player who plays on 2,3 edit sense and build sense because my dead zone has to be at 16 I wanna play on a slower sense tho because I wanna learn how to piece control people efficiently and well but I’m struggling someone suggest a sense ? ( I’m also on 120 fps)

yes, except for peekers advantage when he opens the window and runs into the peek he has the first peek. so right hand isnt always the answer but peekers advantage is

standing back a bit for the right corner edit doesnt matter very much if you have a fast reset but the window edit definitely matters

im a zero build player but this still gave me some miraculous insights that i will indeed be using in my future games. It shouldve been obvious bc i played val and cs where angle and distance from wall mattered. but in hindsight, i dont think ive played my fights using this. So i definitely will.

this is called angle advantage and it’s important to note this is important in all shooter games not just fortnite, valorant and csgo are good examples of this being even more important
