Thanks for always putting thisbstuff out there nutty!! Me stream has updated so much because of you and your advise. Not only plugin wise but also gameroom wise love it!!
Anyone else notice that Twitch does a really bad job at transitioning cameras.. They wait for someone to talk, then do a swap that flashes away to a twitch sign and they muffle the sound a bit before swapping again.. They always seem to time it like 4-6 words into a sentence not like right after a question is asked.. Kinda funny. Also really funny is poor nutty is there hiding behind his hand but he has a camera shot like 3 feet from his face. We love you nutty! Thanks for doing this! Lots of great info!
My needs as a viewer are so opposite to this. I just want a good personality and real focus on the game. Any overlays and effects are just clutter taking away real estate from the game. I just want greenscreened facecam and game, that's it. Even the cam is optional. Put all the time and energy into playing the game well.
29:30 - described my main stream to a T!!! lol!! luckily I'm not in for money... just hanging with the buds usually!! Relaxin!! I use Sammi and Streamer Bot too!! Love both of them! Always good info from you!! Thanks man!!
"Can't just have 1 scene the same for 5 hours." Yet many of the most popular streamers with 100s-1000s of viewers have a very basic setup and don't change their camera angles nor have crazy visual effects. Some people might like those effects but I think most viewers don't care as long as you just play a game (or another hobby) they're interested in and they like your personality. Visual effects are just an added bonus for most people, not the main reason to view.
But you have to remember that games also use scene switching to increase engagement. This means you can get away with not doing it as a streamer. Same goes for showing off other content, like reactions and such. If your core stream content is not good, no amount of production will make you more successful. But there's always that one person who gets away with showing off a polished turd too. It doesn't mean just anyone can do the same thing and automatically have a shot at becoming successful.
Cuz those popular streamers have already made their mark from back in the day where there wasn't as much yet. How do you plan on standing out when EVERYONE is doing the same thing? You can't expect to get the same results just because a more "popular streamer" is doing it, why would they watch you instead of them at all then?
