Welcome to Revolutionary Motion! In this video, we explain to you why your toss sucks in tennis and how you can learn to become more consistent during your toss. Use our easy adjustment to perfect the rhythm on your serve toss within a few weeks of practice and finally worry about where to hit the ball rather than how to hit it. Happy playing,
Kata and Clemens

Most coaches talk about ball toss in isolation. So it's refreshing to hear you teaching ball toss in connection with the body motion. I think that this connection is absolutely necessary. However, it seems that most players toss the ball near the beginning stage of the body motion. So your idea of tossing near the end of the body motion, while interesting, might be difficult to adapt to for most people. I think that as long as one can set the body in a relatively quiet state, it probably doesn't matter a whole lot whether the ball is tossed near the beginning or end. By "quiet" I mean the body should not be falling backwards or turning horizontally during the tossing motion. On a side note regarding "keeping the arm straight", I am not sure if this is always better. I believe that whether to use a straight arm or bend arm is also related to the body posture and motion. If one has difficulties tossing consistently with a straight arm, he may actually find it beneficial to try a bend arm. It seems to me that both Nadal and Djokovic have a bend arm at the point of ball release (ru-vid.comn7HpXcs0DDM). Karlovic has a weird motion that he'd starts with a straight arm, and then bends towards the ball release (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oPw1j3ydDiQ.html). It seems to me that ball tossing is rather personal. There is not really a simple fix to solve everyone's problem. I believe that one should be encouraged to try many possible ways to find one that suits him the best.

I don’t know if this will work, especially with years and years of muscle memory, but sir, this unique is stuff on the internet. Appreciate the idea and mindset change pointer. 🙏🏼

A number of pros have used this to correct their serve problem, including Nicolàs Jarry and Caroline Garcia. It works a treat, believe me, I know.

Me, sadly. I'm legitimately great at hitting terrible tosses. It actually throws off my opponents because they can't believe I would hit such a terrible toss.

Very wierd, I don´t think I can stay long with my knees bent for delaying my toss.

Some of us just have natural difficulty tossing with our non-dominant hand that is hard to overcome, it's not that we like it. I catch and re-toss at least once a service game but if I caught every bad toss it would be rude to the other player. Your advice is to not serve. Guess what, a lot of us are rec players, I'm a 4.0 player but even at that decent rec level I struggle with all aspects of the game. People have full time jobs and families and can't play all day and have to deal with some level of sucking. Just about all of my practice time I spend on my stupid forehand because despite my bad tossing, my forehand needs the attention more.

I only see you start in the trophy position but from a small platform stance ( you can do the same with a wide platform stance ) Agassi did this 20 years ago for about 1 year and it’s also a part of training in a lot of tennis schools to separate the action in the left and right arm

Show me a pro who serves like you mate! Sorry to say but there are too many fundamentals wrong on the way you suggest to serve. stance, shoulder turn, coiling, your tossing arm position after release, leg drive, fluent motion of the dominant arm without a lag and so on. If you suggest a half motion serve for practice in order to have less action going on during your toss action then I am ok with your approach but definitely not the way how you show on your video.

I tried this technique and it works. I'm a recreational player not a pro so this is very helpful.

I think the instruction in this RU-vid channel is terrible in many instances.
