Yup, I think the next candidates besides of Raven are: -Ariels (Xrd's Main Villain). -Gabriel: His debut was in the first Guilty Gear game. If he becomes playable, Guilty Gear Strive would be the first game to have not one, but two characters that everyone were waiting for more that 20 years (with Asuka). -Dizzy. -Slayer: The guy threw much lore during GGX2 and he was the one who gave Frederick the name Sol.
Yess! You get it! This is exactly what I mean. Even though I believe Daisuke will focus on a few returning peeps this time around, he will like surprise and do more with those slots. Zappa to me is such a surprise, he might as well be a brand new character, and then what you said for the final slot applies too. And then there is still no guarantee the last slot won't be someone new like Ariels. I just don't believe it'll be "OK SO EVERYONE LIKES SLAYER RIGHT? JOHNNY -> EL -> SLAYER -> DIZZY". I love those characters, I want them all in, I just don't think that's how it'll go in one pass. There's a sort of like rough "logic" to it. Haha thanks for the comment.

I believe Slayer, and Dizzy are coming, I just don't believe the pass will be them back to back for that exact reason. I'd basically know the whole pass without any silhouettes.

LOL I'm glad you're aboard the Zappa train. Those other two are goated as well! I think some people sleep on Robo Ky, but I think he could be the Neco-Arc of Strive and they could go crazy with his kit this time around. Like a ghost, with a robot, they can do (I guess build haha) literally anything.
also there's a much more recent poll than the one you used that shows A.B.A ranking litteraly higher than elphelt for season 3 so you know she has almost guaranteed chance to be here
Another thing in favour of him is the pattern of where they take characters from - if we ignore goldlewis who was said somewhere to meant to be base game, each pass so far has had 2 characters last seen XRD, one last seen ACR+ and one character who hasnt been seen before (for S1 jacko/baiken xrd, testament acr+ and HC new, S2 bedman/sin xrd, bridget acr+ and asuka new). If this is a pattern and it continues into S3 then we would have an ACR+ character and new character left, which fits well for zappa being an option
You have a great eye! Exactly, there's sort of a balance going on there, and it's not complete randomness. I really don't believe as well that they'll just toss in people. Of course I don't believe that's the sole reason or I wouldn't have named other points in combination. But do I think they're blind to the fact that a popular character, who they believe is worth marketing the franchise Strive post-debut (River City Girls 2), comes with the bonus of being more recognizable as Chinese, than the damn near monster, wearing a bag over his head? No lol and it's not that he's "less" Chinese, but it's a similar bonus of having Baiken or Anji, when we've got our Japanese pirate May. In terms of business, it is easier to identify for newcomers objectively, even if not an absolute reason. I see it as an add-on to existing pros.

Not at all! A.B.A I stated was a very high candidate. The purpose of this video was to spread awareness for Zappa in general, as most people believe he is impossible (due to the misunderstanding involving his ghosts), along with dissecting a few other candidates and their odds, including A.B.A. In fact, one of the points I made for Zappa was that him and A.B.A, someone who is anticipated, play off each other Voice line wise. Yeah, I agree about Zappa. Besides of the reasons you gave there's another factor. Since the Arc Revo Finals we're getting the next DLC already revealed as a demo playable, the reveal would be on streaming like what happened to Sin Kiske, which means is a character who is not on the top 3 most requested characters of the latest polls (ABA, Slayer and Dizzy), because these characters would be revealed in major events like what happened to Elphelt, Bridget, Johnny and Asuka (revealed as a teaser). Gabriel also enters in the top 3 characters, maybe he's not one of the most requested, but he's the only newcomer who made it to the S3 polls, which makes him the most requested newcomer. Bedman? could've end up being a demo playable in last year, but when Arc Sys announced that Bedman's release would be delayed, the Bed end up revealed during the Arc Revo finals. And given that Zappa got only the 8th place on Japan, he fits to be the 3rd DLC. Zappa would compete with the rest of the characters for the 3rd DLC.
I do agree that the silhouette character is likely not someone really high in the polls, or at least, that the last two likely both aren't highly requested characters. I believe there will be some twists, and I just don't see it going Slayer -> Dizzy. We all know that's coming, and there would be almost zero point in this event. They can do it, but I feel like there is more of a "logic" to things. I see a few comments acknowledging this as well!

You have pretty rad taste! Yeah!! I think any of those choices will be really good for the game. People sleep on Robo Ky but like with Zappa's ghost flexibility, they cna do /anything/ with Robo-ky. Several limbs in some attacks, turn him into a mech briefly. These aren't well thought out examples LOL but with monsters, and robots, the sky is the limit.
Seems its ABA but I do believe my points about Zappa having a higher chance than people thought before remain. It was also nice to see peeps who believe in Venom and Slayer share interest with each other in the comments
Im really hoping its venom since he is my all time favorite fighting game character. Slayer also comes really close to being my favorite but I love setplay and mix
Venom is pretty cool. When I played him in X2 I was just button mashing my ass off, but it was nice seeing him develop in later entries, and returning him with Slayer would complete the assassin's guild! I just don't believe both will be in this pass, back to back, just because everyone knows Slayer is coming. I guess it'd help if Slayer came first? yea he's the second coolest character in guilty gear, he's also the only gay representation in gg as well if i'm not mistaken. I want him back too even if I don't really play or like strive that much i just want to see an updated version of him
ArcSys watching fans talk about the new character being Venom or Zappa or something knowing full well they're adding 2B into Strive too. Fr though this was actually a pretty compelling argument. My personal hope is still for it to be Venom or Slayer, but Zappa would be really goddamn cool. I highly doubt there's anyone truly "off the table" in terms of chances of coming to Strive, all I hope is that we get another DLC story to see more interesting character interactions. I wanna know what the hell Johnny was doing while the rest of the pirates were helping deal with The Bed.
LOL I'm glad you enjoyed it. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if all three got in! Maybe not Venom/Slayer back to back, but I can see them split between both passes to complete the OG guild, and of course Zappa is my first pick! I saw their latest roadmap say we're getting more story content this year if I'm not mistaken! I feel the same about the "off the table" thing and that's what inspired me to make this video. This misunderstanding with Zappa aids /why/ he has a really high chance because everyone thinks he's gone.
Even though I really want to see Jam in Strive, I am honestly fine with any Guilty Gear character returning (or being playable for the first like President Vernon, Crow, and even Daryl) since I really like all these characters and they are usually always very fun or creative characters but I will say that Zappa would be REALLY cool to see with the 2.5D cel shading look that Arc System Works does nowadays. Though going back to Jam, one thing you didn't mention is her appearance in River City Girls 2. Yea, this is probably a non factor but I always found it weird that they decided to choose Jam to be one of the guests in the game. Like, you'd assume they would choose someone like Giovanna to advertise Strive, which ironically is the same thought I had with Baiken being in SamSho when instead, I thought they would of chosen Nagoriyuki to advertise Strive (though I am also aware that Baiken is SUPER popular so that may also be a factor to her being in SamSho as well) but not too long after that, Baiken became DLC in Strive and still looks pretty similar to her Xrd design (which I am also sure that Dizzy will still look similar to Xrd once she is the first DLC character for season 4 to kind of match her merch that might come which still use her Xrd design. Predicting it now) which kind of makes me think... maybe Jam will be playable with a new outfit that looks pretty similar to what she wore in River City Girls 2... though who knows, it is already almost 2 years after the game released so maybe they just wanted to use a classic Guilty Gear character for River City but I would still love to see her for season 3 or season 4 (yes, I am coping)
I actually forgot about the River City Girls 2 thing! You're absolutely right! Yeah I'm in the same boat! My most wanted character was Bedman? and other than that I've just been appreciating seeing returning, as well as new faces like Gio's, under the assumption that Zappa lost his ghosts. Now that I know better, it didn't feel like copium and everything started to click. I 100% agree with you that Jam is an extremely likely candidate. I would honestly put her in a category that's like.. Maybe a little before Slayer since he has files, but right there with Dizzy. I think Gio having a few similar animations is basically nothing as well. The knee attack I showed she doesn't need back, and the one she shares with Gio they can even give Jam back because it'd be cool to see them clash with the same move in a string of combos. @@Gloomistic yea, and to be fair, Jam I wouldn’t say is exactly like Giovanna. Remember when people thought that Elphelt had no chance in making it to Strive because Happy Chaos has a gun? Never really bought that logic honestly but people seem to be so convinced about that even though Happy Chaos plays nothing like any version of Elphelt. Now, when it comes to Jam and Giovanna, I can see some comparisons though I don’t see any new characters as “replacements” to older characters. I remember seeing one person thinking that Slayer is impossible to return because of Nago’s inclusion because… I guess a fighting game can’t have more then one vampire even though Slayer and Nago don’t play anything alike aside from one command grapple, which gives them different effects anyways. Now I love both Jam and Giovanna and would love to see them coexist in one game and I can see them being different enough to each other, especially when it comes to their special and super moves. Like I can see Jam having a more flexible pressure game and have her iconic cards mechanic that Stregnths her three special moves and makes her combo game more convenient (or maybe they can somewhat streamline that mechanic somehow like what they did with Johnny’s mist finer mechanic by giving him playing cards instead of coins. Maybe for Jam, instead of giving her cards, it can be similar to Makoto Nanaya’s Impact drive where holding the button for a certain amount of time can determine how powerful the move is or maybe they can give her that mechanic with her Shinshou move instead) while Giovanna has more better midrange options and of course has that Meter boost mechanic though those are just some ideas or suggestions.

I can see not putting Gio/Jam in the base roster in terms of diversity, when you can have I-no who uses a guitar, witch vibes, ect, but similar enough to replace someone's existence in the future? Absolutely not. The fact that they revived Zato, and the core to Guilty Gear is Sol killing his wife over and over, is evidence enough that no one is really off limits. I think Makoto inspiration would be hella cool.
@@Gloomistic yea, exactly. And that Makoto inspiration came from the fact that they probably have some inspiration from Noel Vermilion when it came to Elphelt’s new Chain Lollipop move. Maybe it is a subtle hint on maybe a Blazblue guest character in the future? Wishful thinking but when it comes to guest characters, I honestly prefer just sticking with Guilty Gear characters for this Guilty Gear game. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think a guest character is a bad idea, I am sure Saber from Fate,Arcueid from Tsukihime/Melty Blood, or a Granblue character would be cool and came out more eyes on the game but I would rather see a old or new character from the franchise, however, I will make an exception when it comes to Blazblue since I always wanted to see Blazblue and Guilty Gear crossover with each other and can be a full circle moment for the franchises considering that Blazblue took heavy influence from Guilty Gear when the Guilty Gear series was in legal limbo while at the same time, I don’t think Xrd would exist if it wasn’t for Blazblue’s success.
@@MetaKnuxXbeats I'll be real, I'm fine with GBVSR having Crossovers because Granblue is infamous for doing a lot of those, and as long as they're spaced apart, and well done like 2B, I dig and expected it. Strive is not a sequel in the same way, and as such, is missing characters. I'm more worried about the right Strive picks being in, or seeing what new GG characters could even be born from an upcoming story, or even Ariels joining, than adding a brand new layer of non-GG characters ontop of that. I also don't think they'd market CF today, because I think the amount of people willing to go back and play it is limited. I'd honestly rather just play CF without the crossover. It would be honorable, but without a new entry I'm not sure about that and definitely not focused on it.

I would love Zappa since him and A.B.A were my main characters when i got into guilty gear through XRD. also based choice in music adding in VLR Music. It will most likely be Venom, but I'm holding out hope for a season 4 Pass for Strive since it makes the most sense for Zappa and A.B.A's inclusion.
Those two are top 5 characters for me as well, and yes!! I am a huge fan of VLR, and Mystery games in general! I plan to hybrid my channel between both genres. I've been uploading Death Mark 2 content as a way to get use to mic, because I know camera will be much easier (I like how I look). Trimming/editing has helped my confidence a lot when hearing myself. I plan to stream all 3 Ace Attorney games very early into this year once I'm comfortable, plan to make memes for them I can post in places, crime boards, ect. I think it'll be fun. And I agree! Venom is undeniably possible, it's just that making his silhouette so close to his Xrd one, almost makes giving him a silhouette at all pointless. I also believe there will be some surprises with this pass, and that there will be a s4, because too many characters are missing. I just don't really think there will be a season 5. I can totally imagine more game modes beyond that point, some funny games with avatars, ect, like Granblue Rising, just because Daisuke seems really passionate about this game longterm, and I think fighters go longer periods with content now. Im not gonna hate on you, cuz you have a well crafted theory + you debunk the Zappa argument, although i think the xrd Zappa design would go directly into Strive with some minor tweaks and if you say the sillouette is similar to XX Zappa then maybe that's a stretch but i would like to see the spirits in 3D

My personal top pick is that it's going to be Raven. Raven holds a high importance to the story, as he's That Man's servant (or was, back when REV2 ended) Strive has a running theme of adding characters who had their first fighting game appearance (fuck you Overture) in Xrd, such as the addition of Leo, Ram, Elphelt, Sin, etc. Raven's first playable game in the Guilty Gear series is REVELATOR. Raven has a history of contorting his body. The silhouette could be of him contorting his body in some way, as it'd make some sense, and it would make the two loops be Raven's fingers since he's contorting his body. The head looks too rounded to be hair, and could, therefore, be a hood. However... I am, of course, just spitballing. As you said, it could be anyone, and Raven could also not be likely as the rest of his mantle isn't shown in the silhouette. But my point still stands. Raven is an important character to the story, as he did a series of multuple events in the earlier games, such as saving Dizzy's life in the X2 games. TL;DR: Me want Raven back, he's my boy :(
I think Raven is not off the table. I'm not sure if I believe the silhouette there is really a hood. Even Zappa could have extra ghosts or just anything. We'd really have to see.
Don't worry, it's the Season 2 polls, if you go to the Season 3 polls, Robo-Ky got the 4th place in most of the regions. It's a win because he has chances to be playable. If they're gonna add Robo-Ky and Venom, pls do it as separate characters.
Honestly I would say Robo-Ky is the same as Zappa, in that he is a surprise character, with a moveset they can do ANYTHING with (terrible toy example but he turns into a mech and rams into you), that I believe in the end will be ultimately loved and make the series look good in terms of it's creativity. He is higher up in the more recent poll too. I made sure to link it in the description, and I'll update the subtitles to suggest people check it. Thank you!

I really do think a few wild card characters like this will make it in. There is no way it will be only Slayer, Dizzy ect. Characters like Robo-Ky, Zappa, up the creativity bar for fighters as a whole and that makes them look extremely good as a business. I do see Zappa a little higher, just because I know he will have what people will call a "ghost wife" and that will be popular. Some things I think will sell, even if people don't realize them just yet and didn't vote on that.
