With controversial comments regarding the academic hub flying each and every way, Barbara Ingram School for the Arts students speak their mind by reading tweets they’ve posted with the hashtag “#whyBISFAmatters”.
The hashtag “#whyBISFAmatters” was created by twelfth grade creative writing student Lex LaRocca. Conceptualization, production, shooting, and editing of this video was made possible by eleventh grade instrumental music student Joseph “Max” Crocetta. Additional production and audio support was provided by Katherine Taylor-Forney (an english teacher at Barbara Ingram). Without the voices of Barbara Ingram’s students, the production of this video would not have been possible.

My daughter was in the first graduating class at BISFA. She was a voice student. We felt so strongly about this school that we scraped together the out-of-state tuition and dealt with the many many trips back and forth from Berkeley Springs to Hagerstown. Although she's not studying voice at college, the rigorous academics were far better than what she would be able to get in WV; it also helped her develop confidence and self-discipline. Most everyone is there because they want to be (including the teachers) in stark contrast to most other high schools.

Barbara Ingram is a great school, not only the environment but we accept each other's differences and we truly are a family, thank you BISFA for saving my Freshman year from South High, I wouldn't have survived without you all!
