A Wisconsin man stands trial for allegedly murdering and dismembering his parents without remorse, and providing false information on their disappearances. Chandler Michael Halderson, 23, faces charges including first-degree intentional homicide. Remains from his father Bart Halderson, 50, and mother Krista Halderson, 53, were found days apart, authorities said.
Defendant Halderson reported his parents missing July 7th, claiming they left their home in the Village of Windsor days before on the 1st. He told WISC-TV at the time that they were going to the village of White Lake, Wisconsin.
“My last message I got from them, they were going to White Lake for the Fourth of July,” he told “There are some festivities that go around there. Better drink prices at the bars. Stuff like that.”
He said that to his knowledge, they were then going to their cabin in Langlade County.
“Along the way, they could’ve stopped many places,” he said. “I wouldn’t know all of them.”
He was allegedly just feeding everyone lies.
Bart’s torso was found in rural Dane County, while remains from Krista were found in Sauk County and property run by the Department of Natural Resources, according to court documents obtained by The Wisconsin State Journal.
Their son had been searching Google for terms like “Body found Wisconsin,” “Woman’s body found in Wisconsin,” “Wisconsin dismembered body found,” and “Dead body found in Wisconsin,” authorities said. Investigators suggested Chandler Halderson used to a visit to property belonging to the partner of his girlfriend’s mother as cover to hide his father’s torso nearby. He had shot Bart Halderson at least once before dismembering him, officials said.
According to investigators, Halderson said after his arrest that “you don’t know the whole story,” and that he “didn’t feel bad about what I did.”

Yes.. His family, friends all seemed so nice and helpful. He had many avenues to turn his life around. If all else failed, he could've joined the military at 25. @Wheningoubt
@Wheningoubt 2 года назад
@@lkj7296 Something else, if I had to find any criticism, is that the pacing of the way they've presented their case has been a little awkward at times. Like it feels as though in some parts there's a lot of jumping back and forth because of just how many witnesses are being called. At some times it's been better like the day where they called in the friends of the family, but there's other times where they call in a witness or expert that causes them to double back or go on a tangent that interrupts the "flow" imo. Also, the playing of extremely long videos would annoy me as a juror. I understand it's necessary at times like when they played Chandler's police interview, but playing the entirety of the investigation of the Whitelake cabin seemed like a waste of time that could easily have been covered with some testimony and photographs. Of course I'm neither a juror or an attorney so my opinion is pretty casual and irrelevant, but I figured I'd lay it out anyway. I think it's a pretty small nitpick in any case, because I imagine all of this testimony will be brought home in a pretty effective closing argument, if the opening arguments are of any indication. I just hope the guy does it because the woman prosecutor's voice is kind of grating for me to be honest.

Seems like they allowed it for a long time. There's no way two full grown adults believed he was working IT at an insurance company and NEVER got paid and conveniently never had to go to the actual workplace. Surely his dad walked by his room at least once and never saw him doing IT work for an insurance company. His dad was a CPA and he was trying to get his dad to believe they couldn't find a way to pay his son after working there for a long time! And emails from a woman that couldn't spell her own name and emails Alyssa Brandt/Brant or emails from a man that couldn't spell his job title "director of human recourses" (sic) 🙄 My dad isn't an accountant, but if my workplace didnt pay me after a single pay period of 2 weeks and I never left the house, he'd be on the case telling me to give them one more week to clear things up before he'd be strongly advising i get another job immediately. Adults just cant go without getting paid for so long that the bank doesnt think the check is real because its so big which was one excuse for not having been paid. There's no way 2 grown adults truly believed that. There's no way they believed he didn't even have his degree from the local community college yet, had no experience in his field except this shady insurance place, and was being hired on at THE SpaceX. Working for Elon Musk! These are full grown adults with a lot of life experience. They knew Chandler wasn't doing good. Bart's phone call to the college baffles me. The first part he seems totally in denial and the second part seems like he's resigned himself to the truth. I guess they were just in deep denial and probably thought their kid was at least doing one single thing he said he was doing. Like logging into his college classes to finish his school. He was 23 though, so getting a little old to still be working on an associate's. Deeeeeep denial.

Is anyone else angered by how completely tactless this conkwocket is? The way he disregarded Cat's moms in the pool, knowing they felt violated by him and didn't want him there (but he charged on in anyway like it was his god given right despite HIM being on THEIR property), the way he just walked away from his neighbor mid-conversation without even saying thank you or goodbye, complaining to Cat and leaning on her for emotional support while ignoring her own problems and giving her nothing in return, etc. What he did was already horrid, but the way he went about being so tactless and rude towards everyone before AND after just makes my blood boil.

I feel like they think they're entitled to have a well paying good job without applying for it, entitled to graduate from college without actually going there, and entitled to sit on the couch playing video games all day without their parents asking them why there's no money in their account. The moment you snoop too much and may be on the verge of ruining their bubble they've built for themselves, they rage. Y'all can't come up with something beside STATIC. Painful for bud wearers listening.

16:49 have to wonder if this is around the time Chazzle-Dazzle started to get lonely seeing his friends come in and then be free to leave to pursue the remainder of their days. Eric can leave and enjoy the reminder of his day. Chaz needs to sit there because he murdered his mother and father.

Not sure which case is worse 🤔....this one or the Joel Guy case...I'm more thinking this one. SMH...BOTH OF THEIR MOTIVES WERE ALL ABOUT $$$...They didn't want their parents to cut them off financially. So they chose to let the tax payers take care of them. SMH

I think they are on a par with each other.....same reason for murder, dismemberment...and just a different way of disposing of the parents heads. Both Joel and Chandler were losers at life before they became murderers.

Both of them had parents who were too generous with them too. They didn't have to pay for their own schooling, which most kids would die for, and the parents provided their meals & had a place for them in the home they were always welcome.

They're sooo similar. The only difference is Chandler wasn't quite so lazy... He actually finished cleaning up his crime scene.
