This cop was awesome!! He didn’t take ANY of brooks’ BS!! The fact he kept saying YOU and Darrell Brooks infuriated Mr Brooks and I loved him whining about it EVERYTIME he said it!!! Great job 👏 sir

This officer is brilliant. Brooks is trying to trick him, but the officer is cleverer than him

He really thinks that the officer is on trial for shooting at him. No, Brooks, you're the defendant on trial. "Objection. Hearsay." Dude, they literally have your clear picture in the car. 🤡

He killed 6 people, including a child, injured 60+ more and he is outraged that this policeman dared to fire on him. Brooks is truly such an awful person.

I get the impression that Darrell Brooks is outraged at being shot at. The officers testimony was very good.

This whole thing him making it about that this officer dared to shoot at him instead of him driving through a parade is INSANE

He seriously thinks he's getting somewhere. This officer made you look small, weak, meek, and stupid! Good on you officer!

Live your life in such a way that a police officer does not have to say "That is why I shot at you" on the witness stand

I love this officer. I can watch him destroy the little vile man over and over, again.

Whenever I feel stupid, I remind miself of Darrell Brooks. "Could a car leave the parade route? Even though there were barricades?" Yes, you dimwitted waste of matter, you did! They're made of plastic, not concrete. Sharp as a marble, that one!

He really thought that jury would care that he was possibly gonna get killed 🤣

I love how this officer was so “amament” in his answers to DB. His answers are direct, sure and purposeful. Kudos to Officer Scholten. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Brooks' issue with the officer is that he really cannot believe that someone actually shot at him, yet his record shows that he took shots at his own nephew. Go figure !

The absolute disdain this officer has for DB is palpable. Yet he is dignified, professional, and a true champ. Thank you, sir.

I'm rewatching this testimony again and something just struck me. I always thought his testimony was amazing and that DB looked like a total moron during it. The one thing I never really thought of is the fact that this officer was so brave that night. How quickly he responded, and put the pieces together within seconds. What a terrific officer he is

He’s going nowhere with these questions, he just wants to play lawyer and insult the victims further and waste taxpayer money and everyone’s time. Complete scumbag.

DB’s mother was interviewed and claimed her son feels a lot of shame. I haven’t seen one bit of shame during this trial. Just pride and arrogance.

Notice that Scholten was promoted to the position of "specialist assigned to the criminal investigations division". On the date of the attack he was simply a police officer. I would say his actions during the incident as well as his testimony contributed to his promotion. He processed what he heard on his radio and quickly figured out what had happened as soon as Brooks barreled around the corner. He drew his weapon and waited for the vehicle to clear innocent civilians before shooting. He identified the make, model, and year of the bashed up vehicle after only seeing it for a few seconds. He even unconsciously noted and remembered the license plate number of the vehicle as it passed by him. He demonstrated professional expertise describing the use of deadly force to stop a threat. Then he smoothly demolished Brooks with his testimony. He surely deserved his promotion.

I swear the way he asks people what they mean in order to understand words he doesn't know cracks me up. For ex: the silhouette.

I loved how he gave it right back to dummy DB. He was so professional. ALL the LEOs in this trial were the best & the brightest!!

"I'm trained to stop the threat, you were the threat. The vehicle is the weapon you used." The prosecutors had to be physically restraining themselves to keep from dancing in their seats. They could never have figured out such an effective and brutal way to get that witness to be able to make that statement on the stand, but they didn't have to, because idiot Darrell sovereign citizen Brooks did it for them. His ignorance was such a beautiful sight to behold throughout the trial, and now the fact that he'll never breathe another breath of free air is incredibly satisfying.

OMG. He’s so offended that the officer shot at him with deadly force! And yet he’s representing a “third party” holy moly.

He says to officer Bryce Scholton, couldn't YOU have shot the tires? Officer Scholton should have asked, "Who is you?".

You know this officers mama is at the grocery store saying "That right there is my boy." Mama Bryce, you raised an absoloute gentleman and legend. Wear that mama badge with pride ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

DAMN!!! He didn’t get him the first time, so he made sure to finish him here in court. These answers were brilliant and brutal. Excellent testimony! I hope this is the final nail in Darrell Brook’s coffin.

"I'm trained to stop the threat. You were the threat. The vehicle was not the -- the vehicle was the weapon in which you used, so that is why I shot at you." This was an absolutely brilliant statement by Officer Scholton. It's the kind of statement that prosecutors love to hear from their witnesses and the kind of statement that really resonates with the jury when trying to determine a defendant's guilt.

I sincerely hope someone bought this man a beer after court!!! My favorite witness ever!!

This man was the best witness I've ever heard. His answers were brilliant and, in his last response, he effectively got Brooks to admit he was driving the vehicle. I'm sure his testimony will be key in the final arguments.

I loved how he kept saying YOU were behind the wheel. I shot at YOU.

She only told him twice that he was interrupted when he interrupted him so many more times and she did nothing about it. That was so infuriating.

I commend the judge, prosecutors, police involved in this trial. The patience and professionalism shown by all above is what we need more of. To have to be questioned by this man is got to be offensive yet they remained professional. Good job Waukesha I pray peace and healing for your town Amen.

“Can you state to the jury what you were aiming at?” “You. Darell Brooks”. That cop is sooo disgusted with Brooks. Can’t blame him either. He has to be the most disliked defendant in the past five years of any trial I am aware of.

Best witness I’ve seen. He was articulate, calm and refused to be baited or intimidated by the worthless scumbag murderer who had the nerve to question him. This police officer is a credit to his community.

If all police officers were like this man, what a great place the US would be!

This testimony is pure gold entertainment. Watching the officer just destroy all the attempts to twist his words, and refuse to allow Darrel to manipulate him.

This is one of my favorite witnesses of the trial. He ate DB for lunch in one bite! Ty for doing your job so well Officer Scholten.

did anyone notice at 1:25:40 brooks assumed the witness was naming him as brooks and then essentially admitted that he was the person depicted as the driver in the photos🤣

He, Brooks, is so frustratingly arrogant and stupid. I can’t imagine how hard it was for the victims families to keep their composure when he was speaking. The amount of self control they have is something to be admired.

Most of the other witnesses were great, but this officer was nearly perfect. He provided the facts, showed an appropriate amount of disdain for DB 😂, and even humored us a bit in the process. I love Waukesha.

I love this officer❤ It took a LOT of control to say exactly what was needed ... without calling DB the names that he deserved.

I laugh so much each time DB says “axe” because he’s trying so hard to act like a professional attorney, yet he keeps coming off as the gutter rat he is. 😊

Does anyone else watch Brooks cross examinations and wonder how much he is helping the prosecution? He spends so much time arguing specific points that he brings extra attention to his guilt. The fact that he thinks asking this officer if his shots were “kill shots” shows his complete lack of insight to his actions and guilt and how that officer’s deadly force was entirely justified.

I love that this cop is pushing DB's buttons and knows it and is unshaken by it.

He is very rude. Never a please or thank you or nothing. You would expect a child to act like that. But most kids don't.

DB questioning the expert witnesses was ridiculous. Especially the speed analysts. The look on the experts faces was priceless. The look of utter bewilderment regarding DB questions.

Brooks not knowing and asking what “silhouette” means , then so confidently trying to correct the officer on the meaning was painful. Loved the prosecutions reaction though.

This officer owned Brooks! Best testimony ever.

DB seems determined to make this officer feel bad for his actions, but it’s actually this officer’s proudest moment and nothing on earth will ever make him sorry for his actions that day.

I love DA Boese’s smile when DA Witchow finally threw up his arms at DB’s constant, ridiculous and repetitive questions to Officer Scholton and he says “Objection…. argumentative.” He almost says it as if he was guessing. There were so many “Groundz” he could have chosen from, it was hard to only choose one!

This witness was utterly brilliant and devastating to DARRELL BROOKS who couldn't manage to shake him no matter his silly efforts.

How could ANYONE in the world tolerate this man for more than 5 minutes. Watching this trial has been so extremely painful Jesus
