Her letter made me cry. How sad for her loss. My husband and I are close to celebrating 28 years. I couldn't imagine that loss. How sweet that you were able to help her without even knowing you were. You are a kindhearted person and it shows through in all your videos.

Arepas are made from maiz “corn dough”. It’s basically like cornmeal which is why I could understand the oatmeal reference lol you grill/cook it on both sides and load it up with whatever meat or veggies you want and top it with cheese. Super easy to make but it’s all about the Spanish flavor . Colombians and Venezuelans are known for this dish and the different versions/variations

l really like that you try all kinds of food, I'm Mexican I really hope one day you can try a real Mexican dish, if you come to California I can definitely tell you about restaurants that legit sell Mexican dishes. Arepas are delicious, like a corn gordita but not deep fried, and the masa they use is more soft than the corn masa that Mexican gorditas are made of, the consistency of arepas are softer than gorditas from Mexico. I have had Venezuelan arepas but haven't try Colombian ones I bet they are delicious too. Keep trying good foods every country has something to offer and if you come to California you'll have tons of options from all over the world. Regards from California and Zoe es the best dog ever!

Yes, arepas are made with corn flour, you can make them they sell it in all supermarkets. It’s called harina pan! You can look a tutorial on RU-vid they are pretty easy to make and you can put whatever you want! I like mine with Carne mechada y queso!! The best! That one is called La Pelua!! I’m from Venezuela!! Thank you for trying Venezuelan food! Hehehehehe your description of arepas was quite funny though, I would never think of oatmeal when I describe the flavours or texture of them!

I am so excited you tried arepas my friend. I am from venezuela, and arepas are made of corn, I recomend you try the one with carne and queso blanco but add avocado, is amazing. Also, pabellon is pur tradicional dish but is srrved with rice
