@@RPGAllStars dude get out of here with your self-promo. GCP is dropping a new series and you think this is your time to shine? One way to make sure no one checks out your garbage is by doing stuff like this. Another way, which is painfully obvious when going through your channel is purchasing views and comments from India to fake engagement and interest. Spare yourself and give up. Take that money you are sending overseas to comment farm bots and buy your wife a nice steak dinner and say "i'm sorry hunny. I've been wasting so much of my time faking this dream of mine and i've tried to grab onto coat tails as they fling past me but it didn't work and i'm so sorry baby."
Ross is by far one of the most enjoyable role players to watch. Truly great work. Liking this a lot so far, I think once this crew gets into the groove of the system and the story Jared is weaving, this will be a really good campaign.
Man, every time Jared and Ross play RPG's it's a blast! Two absolute master overactors chewing all the scenery available for maximum effect 😄 And such a well rounded and wonderful cast! They all handle the spotlight Jared shines on them marvelously and act well together.
I discovered Jared thanks to the collab in Blades in the dark. Him and Ross blow my mind. I really recommend his Neptune Society, call of cthulu series where Becca Scott is a regular. So happy GCP and Stream of Blood are joining forces!!! I have been hyping with this campaign and more of the Tin whistles coming soon!!! Love from Sweden from a Spanish GM.
I discovered this channel through Stream of Blood and now I'm going through all of of the GCP originals! You are right about Jared and Ross. Ross continually amazes me with every character he does and there's almost no better spooky storyteller than Jared.
I found the GCN through the Stream of Blood. So this series is such a treat to see. It was a slow build up, but now that the group is on the island, I'm thinking that things are really going to take off. As for those who aren't sure about Jared yet, I think that this series is meant as a primer for the GCN upcoming game based on the Dune novels. Super exciting stuff ahead there.
I found SOB because the GCP guys guested as the Tin Whistles. We're two sides of the same coin! I'm not sure how much you have listened to the Glass Cannon Network, but I strongly recommend the $5 Patreon "Champaign Room" level. They have several campaigns going in there and it's some of the best actual play ttrpg stuff out there. Spend $10 and binge it for 2 months if you want.
I'm holding out hope that the monk isn't a way of the drunken master who is just drunk all the time; I feel like everytime I've seen a Drunken Master that's what they've gone with. Still, looking forward to seeing this gang get their groove. Jared is a very intense DM, however, and I always feel vaguely anxious listening to him! Hopefully as the show settles into motion that'll calm down a little :P
Loved Ross voice. But I'm not quite sold on this way of starting a campaign. So much death time for most of the cast. Even though they all got their moment, I feel I didn't get to see who they are, apart from Ross.
This is hard to listen to on podcast, Clare sounds A TON like Sydney Amanuel, who I've been hearing for years on GCP. Still, great work everyone, you'll be my go-to while I'm waiting for more "Strange Aeons Live."
@LP Players Handbook page 276 "The spell sends creatures into a magical slumber. Roll 5d8; the total is how many hit points of creatures this spell can affect. Please read the spell yourself if you still think I'm wrong.
And you can watch Jared and Ross play on the Stream of Blood channel alongside Troy and Joe in their Tin Whistles Blades in the Dark game. It is some of the best TTRPG content out there and convinced me that Jared is a true genius of the craft.
Noura and Claire have huge ttrpg followings on other shows and networks, such as LA by Night (one of the biggest shows after Critical Role), etc. Ross = Blood & Blades with Troy & Joe.
Jared is pretty hit or miss for me as a DM/GM. I've listened/watched blades, and some of the other stuff he's done. He's good at storyline, but at this point, I'm not really sold on this show. The other members of the cast are good in their own right as well. However, again, it seems this style show or this system isn't something they're familiar with and it heavily shows.
@@petegiant I like it when they try to stick with raw as best as possible, especially with 5e since it's pretty easy to do at this stage of their game. Honestly though, I haven't listened to this show since the first episode went up, probably won't listen to it either. It's just not that interesting to me, especially using 5e.
I see what you mean! He had to introduce a lot in 2 hours (of homebrew world). We are used to a combat heavy style from GCP mixed with awesome (most of the time scripted RP). From what I have watched in STREAMOFBLOOD, Jared shines in cthulu and vampyre games where RP is very heavy, he is very good in allowing players to create their story in real time (notice how he says the DCs often, like he would do in cthulu games). Give him a chance, it is worth, specially with this awesome cast!
You might enjoy our well edited content. We also partner with Paizo on our first season. Future seasons are all in video, so if your liking the slick production, you'll love it even more with future seasons all in video! And Thank you! ru-vid.com
@@RPGAllStars I tuned into this late and see your are getting bagged on for directing people to you, but as someone who is familiar with your show, I appreciate the story, cast, editing, and sound design. Keep up the good work
