amazingly done. you've illustrated their bond, their connection, so well. i particularly loved the work on the text: you highlighted the most important phrases in the most soul-crushing ways (that 'you' in capitals when rumple said regina was the reason emma became the saviour-- well, fuck me). it's comforting that there are still people making vids of them. shows that we haven't forgotten. i certainly haven't, goddamn it...

I haven't seen videos like this for years. you've edited their story from this different point of view like in the most iconic and epic way which is precisely this point of view in my opinion that perfectly represents the true relationship between them, their indissoluble bond. swan queen feelings, aaaahhh.
okay so there's a lot going on and I'll try to get it all out in this comment. First of all, the thumbnail. I remember you struggling to make one, and I really do like how it turned out. With Emma and Regina facing each other, and the back view of Emma clashing swords against the hooded figure, giving us the implication of who that figure is already. Like that alone shows how much care and effort was put into this video. I can't talk about everything that happens, so I'll just bring up the things that were strongest in my mind. First, the repetition of lines and themes. Like it starts with "her name" and then introducing Emma and Regina, but then it moves to discuss the curse, fate, destiny, and the dichotomy of savior and villain. And I like how that theme is continued throughout the video (as it should, it's the whole idea), as Emma and Regina meet and their relationship grows over time. I also like the seemingly continuous conversation between Regina and Gold, her struggling with her fate/reality as a villain and Gold being like the mastermind/sage knowledge dude. The last parallel of "I have to die/sacrifice myself" between Emma and Regina was so (AAAAH) because that was literally canon! The ending though, when the music just stops and Emma is talking to Archie about her vision, and the image just flashes to the silhouette of the EQ, and then the music just cuts back to "with you," like the energy of that??? omg??? Idk how else to explain the sheer power of that ending, and how it captures the meaning of the video, the song, the imagery...wow. Just...bravo.
How have I only just found this now, and only 264 other people before me have liked it? This is an EPIC video, truly. It completely captures everything I love about SQ. The parellels, the predestined future that trapped them both, the role of fate, the light vs dark, reluctant enemies... My god, I have found a new fav SQ vid and it's happened years after OUAT ended. How unexpected. Wonderful editing! You deserve far more attention and praise than you've gotten so far!
the way Jennifer and Lana look at each other during the entire show, only an idiot wouldn’t notice it, that’s why people create so many ships, the audience notices everything and I think Lana and Jennifer knows this very well and they have a feelings for eachother even in interviews their eye contact is something! believe me or not thats true !!!!!

I love the way you literally went through the very beginning to that ending and jeez, I'm so scared to read the fics now but my mind is running wild with ideas of how that could end and IT LOOKS LIKE A FREAKING PROFESSIONAL TRAILER FOR THE MOST AMAZING MOVIE EVER!!! It's just amazing I really can't get over of how you played with the scenes to make them into the same context and how you took it down a path I would have never imagined and just. Holy crap. So I am going to copy/paste everything I've yelled at you in the past in one big comment so everyone knows what I told you whenever you got insecure (hehe) So basically, it's all about fate and how Emma and Regina have always been destined, fated to be adversaries from birth, right? Then, Henry comes in the mix - the child is our only hope with those images indicating that both Emma AND Henry are the only hope - Emma for the curse, Henry maybe for Regina (in a way, he saved her from herself during those last 10 years of the curse). I have to say I LOVE how Henry's introduction falls together with Regina whispering his name for the first time to him. The black and white flashback to the Charmings, genius to indicate that it's in history. Regina's realization that Rumple set everything up after Emma said that it was her birthday yesterday :') "Did you want her to come to town?" And the way Rumple is intertwined basically as the voice of fate, the one who has orchestrated this all. I love how it's basically 2 parts - one, the way they're all intertwined, and two, the way they are destined to be each other's death. "Everything that happens, happens by design" with the true magic shot I'm :D (And then, omg the 2 moments of magic with the trigger and the moon and we've JUST been talking about it, I feel so validated haha.) You've woven all of those text lines into the talk about fate and destiny. "Everything that happens, happens by design" And Regina's desperation that her curse is going to break and it's what Rumple set out to do. The hopelessness of it, her sheer panic and you can't believe the agony I was feeling when they realized that they were going to be each other's ending. It gave me shivers. I love that they both are learning about this by themselves, Emma from Hyde and Regina from Rumple and their both thinking they are dying by each other's hand. And they way they constantly find each other, basically lamenting what has to happen as they realize their ending. Also, Emma's sheer surprise when Regina tells her that it is HER that has to die like, "uh no you have to be mistaken it has to be me." OMG imagine knowing that you've grown close and then realize that the one you love is the one that is eventually going to kill you. Emma being all heroic and telling Regina it has to be her, and she's not going to let Regina sacrifice herself hit me so hard to the chest I'm like omg. And OMG I WAS WAITING FOR REGINA TO SAY FAITH PUSHES US AND MAYBE IT'S TIME TO PUSH BACK ALSO I'm rewatching Neal not being there when Emma gets arrested is a blessing ahahaha. Rumple saying "She can stop you" to Regina, and knowing the rest of the video already made me realize that Regina already beat fate once so maybe that's why she's confident she can do it again. Emma was destined to stop the curse and she did, she did stop Regina's curse, but they befriended each other along the way, and only then learned they have to be each other's end AND BEING HEARTBROKEN ABOUT IT. I choked at the end when Emma told Archie about her dream, and omg, Regina in the final shot had my throat close up like, "NOOO." :(((((( The MUSIC omg, it is so sad but it fits so well, like, you really don't want to fall in love but you do AND THAT IS ALSO FATE DAMNIT SO GO ON AND FUCKING BEAT IT let me cry about the idee that they are supposed to kill each other and vent my frustration about it on the weeds in my overgrown garden (my garden looked so neat after) What if the only way to stop the prophecy is for them not to be together? 😭 I've had that song in my head the entire day btw - the original version but this one works so much better because it's gloomier Despite the video it doesn't HAVE to be Regina being Emma's downfall - how cool would it be if Regina's actually saving Emma instead of killing her ~*~ That and much more in voice recordings. I love the parallels in the beginning, when the three main characters are being introduced and it's clear that their fates are intertwined from the very start. "The infant is our only hope" counts for both Emma and Henry. I love the desperate buildup for Regina, leading to 2.09 when the realization strikes that she cannot escape the inevitable - her demise, because Emma is destined to end Regina. And then they fight it and want to break their fates and then the ENDING omg. I know you struggled with the pause in the music when Emma is with Archie but her realization and the flash to the queen in the dark, omg. And the crescendo of the music building up to that very moment and then falling away, it gave me SHIVERS as it has done every time. YOu've really built a story with the footage that we had and made it ten times BETTER - omg, this is a story I SO want to watch. Jewel, it has been an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT and HONOR to help you with this edit. I know you were so insecure about it but I couldn't stop thinking and watching it then and I can't now. The way you've taken single sentences and used them where you wanted them to shows not only your video mastery skills but also your in-depth knowledge about OUAT (HAHA AS IF WE DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW) and being able to find the texts that you needed to twist them into submission, it's a rare GIFT. We are so lucky to have you in this fandom, not just as one of the most amazing video editors around but also as a person and I'm happy to call you my friend. I am so fucking proud of you for pulling through when things got rough, because it's one of the best things I've ever seen.. And now you'll have to excuse me because I've got to rewatch it at least ten times and cry over it.
