WICKED OFFICIAL TRAILER REACTION | Wicked Movie 2024 

I cried while watching this trailer. Elphaba and Glinda sing part of Defying Gravity in the show lol. I don't think they showed too much. It's a 3-minute trailer for a movie that's maybe going to be 2 hours. They just showed us the basic plot points. I read that movie 1 will end after Defying Gravity. There are things in this trailer that weren't in the stage show, so I think there will be suprises. Where do you think Frozen got some of the ideas lol. Wicked came out first and they had some similar elements. Also, we mostly see Elphaba and Glinda in this trailer. There’s so many other old and new characters to see.

It may seem to those of us who know the show well that they’re giving away everything in the trailer but for all those who haven’t seen the show, I think this creates extraordinary excitement and curiosity.

They always have a part of Defying Gravity where Elphaba and Glinda duet.

The trailer looks AMAZING! I also really liked what we saw from Ariana as Glinda

Ok yes they showed A LOT of the main storyline in the trailer but if you REALLY think about it...there's still a lot of story left in Act 1. There's been so many criticism and doubt from [especially] musical fans...this trailer felt like them making a point...this movie is going to be GOOD, Cynthia and Ariana were the right casting choice, we're going to honour the music and give you MORE!

The film looks so gorgeous! I can't wait to see it! I love that it's such a passion project for Jon M. Chu and that he really wanted to make it spectacular!

If you are going to rent out an entire theater to watch a movie, I would DEFINITELY choose THIS movie over Mufasa to have the honor of being the movie you watch. I have not even seen them yet, and I can already guarantee this will be 10,000 times more worth your time and money to see. I agree with you...there are musicials and then there are musical masterpieces. 2019's Cats clearly falls in the first category...as does the Lion King. This one is clearly worthy of a masterpiece.

I haven't seen the play but I do know the general gist of it and some of the songs and I'll say I think they showed enough scenes to enable unfamiliar people to know what the movie is gonna be about. Can't wait for this in November!

I don’t think there showing to much because most people know the show and if you don’t then they are practically just giving them the bases of the story there will be loads more to see

This sounds a little bit random but I feel like watching an episode of Doggy Kamealoha could be fun.

"It's Elsa vs Anna." You know, except much more LGBTQ+, since Elphie & G[a]linda are CANON BISEXUAL (mutually for Fiyero and of course, EACH OTHER) & aren't canonical sisters (that distinction belongs to half-siblings Elphie and Nessa, although neither are technically Munchkinland governor/roving preacher Frex's child, since... Warning: SPOILERS ahead! ~SPOILERS begin here~ ...Elphie is born from an adulterous affair (and essentially, statutory rape) between Marlena (Frex's promiscuous wife, who is constantly left alone to drink her loneliness away whilst her husband is out converting believers to his congregation) & The Wizard (who does the deed meanwhile Marlena is clearly heavily inebriated). So Elphie is a mixed breed of both native Ozian & a person from our world (the Outer World beyond OZ, from whence both The Wizard & Dorothy Gale both come from). Nessarose is born during a shared threesome between marrieds Frex X Marlena & their shared Quadling male love interest Turtle Heart, but once Turtle Heart gets deathly sick & soon dies, Nessa becomes Frex's favorite between his two daughters, predominately because Nessa is mainly the offspring of the two people whom Frex loved the most, namely his wife Marlena (who actually dies giving birth to crippled Nessa, a tragic circumstance which Frex automatically unfairly blames Elphie for, rather than the absorbant amount of milk flowers which Frex himself had forced his wife to constantly consume to ensure Nessa didn't turn out green, which is the real definitive reason why Marlena had died, since consuming too many milk flowers can be fatal) & Turtle Heart (the couple's shared lover), with Frex himself arguably doing very little to contribute to either witch sister's creation. ~/End SPOILERS

Disappointed that Arianna is imitating Cheneweth's singing. She has impersonated other singers before....so here it is again. Close your eyes and all you hear is Cheneweth. Would have been great for her to make it her own.

I was so annoyed at how much they showed in the trailer like major plot twists.
