Other way around for me - shitting myself in the queue but loving the feeling once I'm sat down. That's what forced me to walk out the nemesis queue, and I still regret it.
@@jacvic0790 that’s the same for me. Your expectations feel a lot scarier than the actual thing, or you’re just more likely to be excited because you’ve finally got what you waited for,
It’s the opposite for me. Genuinely crying having panic attack in the queue, almost hugging a stranger during the pre-show and then absolutely loving the ride.
+AD This same park also have the “Smiler” which is a much more explicitedly theme ride about some evil organization and mind control. I don’t think vague human sacrifice is too big of a deal. I know about the Aztecs. I’ve came up with a lot more fuck up things in my head
I agree with you on safety being the No.1 priority, because for them to open the park anyway despite the outbreak would just be a complete and reckless disregard to our public health and wellbeing, not to mention how much more the virus would have spread... it just doesn’t bear thinking about.
Josh Bacon They opened the park while there is a virus? No wonder so many people died already people aren’t taking the virus seriously a lot of people got arrested because they left their houses
Went on this one yesterday and it was a pleasure to ride this one. The speed on this thing is insane, the G force is incredibly powerful fast. One of my favourites at Alton Towers. I hope this one stays at the park for many year's. Its good fun.
Alton be like: Let's theme our family coasters to dying brutal deaths! 2021: Alton towers rethemes Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure to being hung, drawn and quartered
Despite events that have happened at this park, rides breaking down, long queues thousands of people look forward to coming here every year, it is one of my favourite places on this planet and I hope this ‘thing’ passes over soon, it is for everyone’s safety that it has closed but I am sure we will be seeing that purple corkscrew again
@@irlbratzdoll_4994x the accident was human error, there was nothing wrong with the ride itself and ontop of that they invested 18m pounds into it, i don't see why they would shut it
@@irlbratzdoll_4994x Smiler is fantastic, the crash was nothing to do with the ride itself. Should we ban cars too? No of course not. Alton Towers is my happy place.
@@tracygreenhough4594 actually lmao cars are more problematic and a completely different situation 😂 I never said the smiler was the fault, it was actually the workers
This rides so much faster than any of the POVs ever make it appear. It's so quick! And relentless. As soon as you start the first drop it doesn't give you time to even work out which way you're facing until the breaks at the end
I can't wait to get back on this incredible ride once the park reopens! I'm praying that the number of daily UK coronavirus cases has reduced enough for the park to open on July 4th, fingers crossed! #FeedTheFlames
@@leedickson2701 Yeah, I know it won't be, that was an unrealistically optimistic statement, but I reckon it will open in June, or maybe at the start of the summer holidays.
Today I went on Wickerman as my first ever rollercoaster. I regret eating a wrap right before going on... At one point I felt like I could barely breathe, I spent half the ride holding my glasses on my face. Yet, I loved it and went on 13!
@@rec8127 have you not ridden it yet? Definitely try it as your first coaster, I was crapping myself but after I'd been on it the first time I ended up going on Rita and oblivion 😂😂
Wish I was 30 yrs or so, younger. Back in the 80's I used to visit the resort very regularly and enjoyed the many attractions that were there then. I can remember the Black Hole roller-coaster and the famous Corkscrew. Looking at these rides now; Amazing as they may seam, i am not sure my heart could take it lol.
This video is so slowed down, I went on the wicker man yesterday, and I literally almost flew out of the seat, even my dad did, every drop was freaking terrifying😅
In the design and concept room: "okay, we need to think of a movie tie-in with a roller coaster" *snaps fingers* "I got it! A rollercoaster based on the horror film 'The Wicker Man'! Genius!"
I went in August of this year... And let me tell you, its sooo much better in person. I kinda wish it lasted longer though. The 90 minute queue was still worth it.
