Hi Sam thank you for the EK magneto series of videos very instructive in the mean time I have embarked on building a good magneto charger as here in Malta no electrical shop has them! I found some drawings and instructions of how to build one on internet. It came from Gas Engine magazine of 1989!!
I think you made this way more complicated than it needed to be if you would have just left your terminals on the battery and explain north and south and charge the magnets it would have been a whole bunch simpler I had to watch this twice because I was so confused from your babbling
