The story of The White Horse Guitar club is one based around music & friendship. The bond of those two things has drawn a group of likeminded souls together and the shared experience of singing, playing and performing is a long burning fuel that keeps a bright fire lit.
Formed in early 2012, the band evolved from an open club environment into a fully fledged musical touring group of 11 friends in that relatively short space of time. The music we choose to play is deeply rooted in the fine tradition of songwriting that flourishes in the southern states of America, particularly in Kentucky & Tennessee where the Scots/Irish influence was strong. We proudly sing the songs of John Prine, Darrell Scott, Buddy Miller, Townes Van Zandt, Tim O'Brien, Willie Nelson and more.
The WHGC has performed all over Ireland & beyond in the last 3 years, in concert settings and cosy pub corners, as street musicians and as festival favorites.
All good stories are shaped by the twists and turns of the road and the adventure of The White Horse Guitar Club is very much still being written. Keep your ears tuned and your heart open.

Like a pure, cold mountain stream, it fills the thirsty longing of my soul...and reminds me once again of my husband, one of the "strong ones," who has already crossed that "wide river," and is waiting for me there, on the other side. An amazing sound! A circle of guys around a camp fire. The great big, beautiful outdoors. The steady strum of various guitars, that each have their own stories. The strong, deep, gritty sound of men's vocals, riding a trail of melodious notes that vibrate through the woodland air. The wild critters are quietly tucked away, as they hear the human sounds weave through the forest. A sort of union of man and nature are captured in peace. God smiles. Thank you all! 🙏🏼

Beautiful music and sound's love your word's my dad was a German Paratrooper in WW11. He died 85. In 2007. Mom was 96. She was a teenager in WW11 living in BERLIN. GERMAN JEWISH. She lived. Thank you JESUS AMEN 🀄✝️🛐

The fact that the vocals aren't all in perfect sync for some parts is actually what makes this awesome. It really gives it that feel that it's just a group of companions singing together, like around a campfire, and not like a rehearsed act in a studio. Awesome work!

This song speaks to my heart. Finding my place, as a single Mom again.... I have 3 kids. My 2 oldest had me for their first 4 and 2 years of their life. Then "Mr Narcastiic Perfect" came in and did what they do. For 12 years. I'm still trying to break away from it. Living in our own place. This song is my life.
