Hi Karl, fantastic video and each one through 2023, really enjoyed following your channel. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to in 2024 Happy New Year
Thank you for the great videos you have shared in 2023. I really need to get over there more often. My Springer is terrified of the drone 😢 Wishing you and your family all the best for 2024🎉 Mike (mstphoto) Aberdeen
Great video K. Looking forward to what the weather throws at us in 2024. Gonna be awesome for sure. Love the Panoramic. I need to drag you up high, Munro level one day..👍 Again great images.
Absolutely beautiful, I always love your videos and find them inspiring. Glencoe is one of my favourite places, unfortunately I don’t drive or I would spend a lot more time there and the surrounding area. I find Rannoch moor and the views towards the Black mount very beautiful as well. Keep up the good work.
Great video Karl. I was up in Glencoe just before Christmas and popped in to the Ballachulish visitor centre where at one point you were serving coffees. I was at my table with a nice Latte and a sandwich that was like a feast by then. I try to call in there as well as the National Trust centre when I'm around Glencoe and they're both very warm and welcoming. You have some amazing photos for sale in the Ballachulish centre. They certainly inspire me whenever I call in. All the best for the New Year and looking forward to more of your videos.
Thanks Andy. Yep I’ve been known to make the odd latte at my gallery. Glad you enjoy the place and the pics. Have a great new year and thanks for watching.
You definitely deserve more followers/views Karl. I may only get up to Glencoe 1-2 times a year but I love the place and your vids plus Cliff Hands really help me with ideas and places to shoot...thanks! I'm up in Glencoe in March and plan to shoot more along the Coupall so this is great video for ideas. I better remember to pack my Mavic Mini 2! I would say panos are much easier if your tripod has a half bowl/self- levelling head rather than centre column. I'd also say that on a cloudy day like you had you can get away with using a polariser when shooting a pano but if it's nicer when you shoot that wide the polariser effect varies and you can get a much different effect one side of the pano than the other. In conditions like that shoot without the pano. I also tend to shoot series of focus stacked images and combine those then stitch the focus stacked images together. More effort I know but if you have foreground and background subjects I've found it works better than stitching single shots.
Hi Karl, I’m glad you managed to get out the day after we met at the Glen Coe visitor centre. Your videos are truly inspirational and help me tremendously. Hope to see you again in the Glen 📷 Happy New Year to you, your wife & Fern 😊
Another terrific outing Karl. I shot from that same spot back in May at 24mm but the pano will be on my to do list as it added so much more depth to that view. I will be back there in April for a couple of months and am still hoping to get that Bluebell shot at St Johns Church. Enjoy the year ahead.
Thanks Wayne. It did give it more depth. Would have loved some morning light on it so maybe we will bump into each other as it is my next great light location. Thanks for watching. 👍👍👍
Great video and photos from Glencoe. I’m thinking of traveling from the US to Scotland in 2024. Glencoe will definitely be on my list. What are the best months for good photo opportunities?
