I was there and it was a real treat. Billy was outside hanging with us before the show so we knew he’d be popping up at some time and of course he didn’t disappoint. 🤘🏽❤️

I wonder why Billy picked the Martin for the sit-in. He's been playing his Thompson almost exclusively when he plays live. I wonder if it's because it's a Nashville show so he doesn't have to fly with it. That's the Martin he got from Bryan Sutton of Hot Rize.
Martin Guitars have a tone that the wood breathes with age, more of a traditional very classic sound. Thompson and Taylor is more of a modernized ring, that pairs well with petal effects and pickups.
@@berrey7 Which is exactly why I would think he'd choose his Thompson for playing with WSMFP. Maybe it's because it's the Ryman. Regardless, great show, and Bill fits right in.
