How great is the smile on her face when JB starts singing? Beyond what the exposure does for her as a musician, it's clearly such a huge thrill for her as a fan to be able to play with the band.
2008 Panic with Jimmy before they "reigned him in" is my second favorite Panic year after 98. I mean he's forging empires with this shit! Total mastery. The tobacco burst strat needs to return if he still has it.
Had watched a video of Ann Marie playing some Phish tunes a week before the show....I was outta my mind on some chocolates and thought I was dreaming when she stepped on stage!! One of my favorite Jimmy-era Panic experiences. They killed it!

This was one of my favorite panic shows out of the ones i've been to. Watching the video makes me wish I could go back and play the night all over again!
I had never heard of Anne Marie and had tickets to see Jethro Tull in Houston back not long after this, she opened the show with an amazing 45 minute set and then played the entire freakin' concert with J.Tull!! One of the best shows I've ever seen. She's simply amazing, check out her concerts with Yanni and Steve Vai.
Not always a huge Panic fan, but this is sick. Love Jimmy Herring and Dave Schools together, and obviously the addition of Ann Marie for this show was great. Thanks for posting.
Even with how good this is, it doesn't even catch how good it was live. I think the sound board they used cut out some of her playing. Seeing it live was UNBELIEVABLE!

You couldnt find a better crowd of people to enjoy a show with. When Panic comes to town. They along with all us lil Pilgrims we own tht town!! :) Them are Vacation Days at it finest. Oh my God I think this is the sickest video I've ever seen... Jimmy Herring is f'ing brilliant! He's so clean and melodic... he uses unusual intervals that sound so awesome! And he can rip it up when he wants to! And OH that tone! And of course, Ann Marie Calhoun... if you're reading this right now, will you marry me and have my children? Please? =)

I don't think so. That intro is rehearsed, they rehearsed together, and that's where the vocals start. That smile is bliss, pure bliss. If I'da been on bass for that, that same grin woulda been on my face. That's not a oopsey daisy smile because he sang over the end of the intro. That was done by design guaranteed
