That guy that went scuba diving and vacationing with his wife.... Like didn't she think it wasn't a good idea?? Why are significant others encouraging this instead of talking their "injured" loved one, down from being active and stupid with their comp cash?? They are bound to get caught eventually. (3:50) YES the insurance company may refuse to cover you... but that doesn't mean your employer will escape legal liability for your work-related accident. Someone should tell the reporter she left that little detail out.
I always had problems with my back since, at 61 I broke my spline, i had a lot of missed days, and never collected on my injury, I wasent one to take advantage of a company i worked for 20 yrs, wasnt their fault, too bad im honest
Not all injured workers are the same, some of us are really struggle but insurance companies still treat us like hell. Why news reporters never talk about Independent Medical Examination who are very cruel to us and most of the times lie and they do not want to be audio taped even if law said we have right to do that. And those doctors get paid over $400.000 a year by the insurance companies to make our life hell, to leave us homeless at that time when we are partialy injured.
I saw huge numbers of people from every race lie to me when I used to do some Social Security disability evaluations as part of my practice for nearly three years. I did them in two different states. It was the same in both states. Lots of honest people, and lots of liars committing fraud.
Sure, some are scammers doing some activities that give them away, but if you see someone doing something "physical" when they r suppose to be injured, videotape the follow days after the activity for the truth. If the person is bed ridden from pain or has decreased movement that's noticeable from the activity done the day before, then how can this be held against them? They were injured & DID NOT DIE! My Dr told me this on day one...get out there when YOU feel good enough! STAND YER GROUND to anyone who says yer faking...screw them & tell them if they only had 1/2 the pain I do you would be committed. Injured workers make the best workers comp investigators, but it's a $$ game now a days on both ends...it's no longer someone who cares, it's someone who is always looking at ways to get yer benefits cut off. My union lawyer is helpful...
