Meeting again in Hildburghausen (Documentary, 1996) 

Hildburghausen at the Werra in the southernmost part of Thuringia is a miniature stage of the 20th century, showing the illusions and the suffering of more than three generations and political systems.
The author Rainer Hartleb has a personal connection to the little town: He is born here, grew here up, than he emigrated to Sweden, from 1988 he came regularly back to Hildburghausen to film his family and old friends. Using old footage and fotos the film is a very personal portrait of halfe a century of German history.
