Not here in the US! I have known women that work in the USA till they give birth, take the week off as vacation leave, then go back to work. However, if I were the channel operator, I would choose or produce less ugly images. - And I would not choose the grandmother just as a character who is temporarily there for the mother and children with all her commitment and money and then suddenly no longer takes part in their lives. - Against this background, I had the feeling that the selfish woman deserved the horrible man.
