One of the funniest things about this is how Bert keeps giving her advice she clearly doesn't need....she has already got this shit down. Wives notice more than you think, hubbies! :) But seriously, Bert is one of my favorite people in one of my favorite forms of art in the world, comedy ( and I'm happily 25 years deep into marriage to my soul mate, a prodigy-level classical pianist, so it's not surprising I'm an appreciator of the arts). It's not at all shocking that LeeAnn is amazing. She was striking to me instantly. What is hilarious is that she has it WAY more together than he does on a practical level, just like my own artistic husband. He always says that without their wives, most men would be dissolving in a puddle of their own piss (he is also a comedy lover and a pretty good irreverent comedian in his own right). Rock on, LeeAnn!

Just watched the first five minutes and had to pause to comment. I love it already!!! I love your chemistry I love seeing Bert be serious so far and really think about and reflect on himself. I completely understand Leanne’s “complicated” relationship with her Mom. I’m just so excited to keep watching this podcast!!! I feel something really special and important happening here. Can’t wait to finish it and have more to say. So far though amazing!!!

40:25 just got me subscribed. I was enjoying LeeAnn’s description of her process about the podcast. I noticed that Bert looked like he was truly listening to her. Then he opened his mouth and made it about him. Ay ay ay, she is an exceptional woman and I truly get her now. She loves the big galook even after something like that.

LeeAnn, after watching Burt's podcast with Jair as the behavior analyst, as well as the podcast in which you and Bert discussed the Aziz Ansari deal, wherein you often took the words right out of my mouth, I have realized that you and I are psychological twins. Although I was blessed with a wonderful Mom, somehow, you and I were cut from the same mold. I, too, am drawn to people like your Uncle, and, in fact, I have my own batch of crazy Uncles whom I also adored, but who definitely drove their loved ones nuts. I also grew up mainly surrounded by men (in my case, it was 5 brothers; my sister left home when I was in first grade), and therefore, I get along better with men than with women. My major life relationships are mostly men, with the exception of my Mom. I am also an older Mom of non-grown children, and I agree with Bert; we are under-represented in podcastlandia. So, you can expect me to tune in for every new episode. Thus, I am excited not just for you, but for me and our fellow middle-aged Moms. :)
