So the issue I have is two lights on my garage hooked up to one light switch. I can get garage 1 light to work but can't get garage 2 light to get the wifi signal. I can get it to flash fast by unscrewing it by hand 3 times and wait for it to load but just get a failed message? There is different options light single light or string lights. Tried both but no go. Any suggestions?
Hello, sorry for the very late reply. Usually pairing mode should be a continuous blinking until pairing is complete. In your case, you may not have the same exact bulb that I have(I have a Tuya powered one) so it may have different pairing requirements. Please check the user manual. Otherwise, I’d recommend you reach out to the seller where you got your item from.
Everyone, do not buy this bulb it's terrible and won't even connect to a Samsung galaxie a25, thank God I had one laying around my family wasn't using. These are terrible, rope lights are the way.
A few things: - make sure you are trying to connect via 2.4Ghz WiFi, with correct username and password of course - your mobile device is on 2.4GHz WiFi as well - you don’t have too may devices connecting to your router Other than that, check with your seller for replacement options if you got a faulty unit.
Thank you for taking time to comment, and I’m sorry if I can’t respond appropriately because I don’t understand your comment. I don’t trust Google translate either.
Hi, any idea on how smart lights get paired without connecting to them via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth during initial installation? How does your phone find them?
Sorry to hear that. Please check the included user guide on how to properly use your device. The one that I got may be different from the one you purchased. You may also want to reach out to the seller or store where you got the item and check for warranty coverage or replacement options. Best of luck!
In most cases, you’ll need to turn the physical wall switch on and off 3 consecutive times. Otherwise, you’ll have to check the user manual for the setup instructions or consult your vendor about it.
After replacing the original bulb with the new smart bulb, the bulb doesn't blink. I can't pair it with app. Is there a way to troubleshoot it? Thank you 😊
For most tuya smart bulbs, you’ll need to turn the switch on and off like 3 times, or until the bulb blinks rapidly. When it starts blinking, it is now in pairing mode, you can then go to the app to pair it. You can also check the instruction manual that comes with the bulb for more details.
Hi. Let's say this bulb is 12Watt so the brightness of 12watt equal to level 100% right?. if the brightness set at 50% does this mean it's become 6Watt?
Hello, great question! I recall connecting it to a watt meter at one point before and tried bringing the brightness down and it did change the power consumption level down, too. However, I am not sure if putting it to 50% brightness brings the wattage down to half. There are other component still at work so most like it may still be more than 6.
@@cayetanojed hey. I already tested using smart plug that can read the output details. I can confirm that if we reduce the brightness by 50%, wattage also will automatically reduce to 50%.
You may want to check the instruction manual that came with the device. Or, contact the store/company where you bought the device, they should be able to help you out with any issues related to the operation of the device.
@@cayetanojed hi im crying the bulb does not connec and i dont know what im doing wrong , should i also turn off my internest router and reconnect it while im setting the bulb??
@@cayetanojed thanks . so on google assistant we can only control the light on/off but can color changing and dimming can it be done as well or you need that smart app
So if you turn the bulb OFF from the wall switch it no longer works at all or just loses programmed features? Very helpful video, makes clear there is a problem with control from wall switch.
It will no longer work since it’s already physically cutoff from power. When you turn the wall switch back on, it may take a few seconds for the smart bulb to connect to wifi before you can use the smart features on the phone again
@@cayetanojed Thank you very much for your reply. I hoped it would be functional without connection to wi-fi. Basically I am looking for a bulb that could be programmed with a phone and stay programmed and operational at specified parameters (colors) while turning ON/OFF from wall switch.
@@sezwo5774In that case you may need to look into zigbee type of devices which don’t require WIFI.. Also, if you still want to have a wall switch that controls the bulb to turn it on or off, you’ll need a smart wall switch, I also have a video for it, and in your case you’ll need to set up the smart wall switch to remotely control the smart bulb.
I bought it from a local hardware store. I think it was Ace Hardware. You may also find it online in Amazon, or any online stores available in you region. They are fairly cheap
Unfortunately, this item only works with WiFi 2.4GHz. You’ll need to check for other smart devices that work with Bluetooth or WiFi 5GHz. Be sure to check the specs first and ask the store for the right specs for your requirements. Also check if they provide a return policy in case the item you got is not compatible with your home network. Good luck!
