Who would have thought that Just Dance would be such a massive success and a truly phenomenon. This game was launched at a time when rhythm games were rapidly losing appeal due to oversaturation. Based on a minigame from the Rabbids franchise, even many people inside Ubisoft did not believed it could have potential. Despite its simple/modest design, the acessibility of JD made all the difference. How could such a simple idea also be so brilliant?

It’s been awhile since I’ve played this at a party. I ordered a used one and it’s coming next week and i can’t wait to play it again.

You know, I think people are simply wrong about Just Dance 1 being the worst one. If anything it's one of the better games in the series (right behind Just Dance 2, that will always be the best Just Dance). Does the game have its flaws? Absolutely. It was a new idea for the dance genre of gaming, which was filled with only pad games, so yes, motion detection and scoring weren't very good. However, the soundtrack is the best of the entire franchise, the dances (while extremely simple) are VERY fun to play with friends and their simplicity lead to less hitting when playing (believe me, I know from experience), and I adore the idea of moving your whole body instead of just your feet in a dance game. I will always appreciate what Ubisoft did with this series. I just can't believe people just shit on this game simply because it's "bad." The very series you love and adore today wouldn't BE HERE if this game didn't come out and do as well as it did in the first place! I just think it's ridiculous that people rank this as the worst JD game. I will always love the first game, no matter what. JUST DANCE 1 FOR LIFE!
