The Boo toy holds a very special place in my heart. My family had just gotten a Wii and New Super Mario Bros Wii around the time of this promotion. On one fateful day, we were playing NSMBW when my aunt brought home Burger King. I was a young child at the time so of course I got the kids meal, and the toy instead was the Boo toy. That right there was my first piece of Mario Merchandise. I never used the Wii remote to push it around, I always just pushed it myself and I had so much fun. I lost the original, but I do happily have another I bought off eBay that sits atop my computer. I'm turning 19 tomorrow, and I still love Mario and Boo. Hate Burger King now tho.

Scott, thank you for releasing this video to memorate the moment where burger king decided to sell fries and onion rings combined in the same carton. Such a moment needs to be definitively honored.

I remember the Wendy's Wii toys specifically because they were tiny versions of the actual hardware, they had a tiny Wii remote and a tiny Wii console and a tiny nunchuck, it was super cool

Scott, I want you to know that my local Burger King is notorious for running out of items. One time they ran out of patties, straws, fries, chicken, and top buns all in the same day. They had bottom buns still, they just somehow only ran out of top buns.

Man I remember that Donkey Kong toy as a kid. I probably etill have it, but I completely forgot it came from Burger King. As for a fun story from Burger King when I worked there, one day our drive-thru was packed as usual. Now my main station was just hand out food, give sauces, and make drinks. One of my managers came up to me and said, "We got a Joker at the window." I had no idea what she meant by this. I thought this meant we either a guy trying to pull a fast one and try and steal some money from the register, or just try and get his meal for a bit cheaper by not paying an extra doller, or if we just had a literal comedian. The car finally comes up to my window, I look out, and we have this guy dressed in a full Joker outfit. I mean he had the purple suit, white face paint, green hair, and everything. He looked like the Joker from like Arkham Asylum. His wife was perfectly dressed up like Poison Ivy as well. I could just kinda see in the back of their van, they had a toddler with them dressed up like Batman. All of this, in the middle of July. I handed out the food to him and I immediately complimented their outfits, and it was very impressive to look out, and definitely looks incredible compared to every other person that came through there.

Hey, I have this set of ten. I used to go crazy getting all of these silly BK, McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell video game toys. The hunt was better than the catch. Is that a saying? Probably not. My favorite fast food toys were the Sega LCD portable games from McDonald's. And maybe the Mario Kart 8 cars from 2018(?). Fun video, thanks for sharing!

I had the donkey Kong one, I used to pretend I had a Wii and would mess around with the Wii remote. I made a fake Wii out of legos and drew the Wii menu on a piece of paper and taped it to my wall lmao

I've had the Paper Mario toy that Scott was missing in this and I remember it being pretty bad, unless I was using wrong this whole time because I was a stupid 4 year old at the time. The Wii remote had a magnet that Mario connected to, and there was a board that stood up and you had to get Mario to the top of the board while keeping him connected to magnet on the other side of the board, and you would have to move in between blocks on the board to simulate him jumping. It sounds cool in theory but the big problem was that Mario wouldn't stay connected on the magnet and the board and he would fall off constantly. I don't think I ever got him past the second block, nevermind the top.

Honestly I can only picture childhood me being happy with the Yoshi, Peach or Luma. The other stuff would get boring after 2 or 3 uses. At least the other ones can be used as toys without their wiimote gimicks
