I'll be honest, this console is the first thing Nintendo has done in a LONG time that I'm excited about. Whenever I buy the Wii U and open up the box for the first time, I imagine myself feeling a lot like I felt when I was 8 years old on Christmas morning opening up a brand new N64.
You know Nintendo's all about the game. When DS was announced, of course folks were skeptical, but it came out to be a phenomenon. The Wii was a monumental leap in terms of player control and console innovation - a gamechanger. Getting that Wii U GamePad in your hands and playing games like Nintendo Land, ZombiU, SiNG, New Super Mario Bros. U and more just shows you that Wii U is really meant to be a system for EVERYONE - your dudebros, your family, YOU and so on. It has that factor down pat.
its like when your voice cracks up, you're not responsible for it and its funny for the others, nothing that makes someone sad(only if you're too depressive)
To be honest, I almost think the same way and I play Nintendo. The WII didnt really "sucked" it just had a lack of good hardware in it..The hardware, which they used were from 1999/2000 so they couldnt do really big games. But now the WII U will get some amazing titles...WITH their good hardware.
The keyword hear is FUN! People of all ages having FUN and that is what games should be about FUN!!! Really hoping NIntendo is back and the 3rd Parties will be on board. They were there at the start of the CGN and Wii then they dropped off and shovelware became the norm.
He's not just talking about himself. He is talking about all the die-hard Nintendo fans as a whole. They are shifting their games to appeal to everyone, thus changing the games to not fit the original Nintendo fans' needs. And trust me, there are a ton of classic Nintendo fans.
i sort of want a wii u now. at e3 all the hype was lost. im a sony and nintendo fanboy, i never really got into xbox though. but the wii u is looking better and better
The confirmed it last year. But the whole thing is that its going to be a while before the finish. Considering that brawl took also several years to finish. And that it will be two games this time one on the 3ds and one one the Wii-U
3rd party developers will be interested as long as the tech itself is as powerful as they want it to be. I believe currently Nintendo just wants more money because they've had quite a bit of loss, so that's why they want to advertise the casual side of the console more than the hardcore side of it. It's there, you just have to look for it some more. We'll see more hardcore titles once the console went through it's first 3-4 months.
I actually enjoyed nintendos e3 this year, but you know what would make it better? if they introduced an add on to the controller, which you can put 3ds and ds games into and play them on the tv and the gamepad, kind of like what they did with the gameboy advance and gamecube. anyone else agree?
Can't wait for Mario Kart Wii U for customisable bike and karts and go underwater and fly in air. New Super Mario Bros 2, The Legend of Zelda (Exotic Name)!
I'm getting Wii U (my guess is that it'll launch at $350 USD--it just seems right). Man, I can't wait to enjoy new gaming experiences with my other gaming friends, located all around the world, but with Miiverse making online gaming pretty awesome. Now, if Nintendo would make a Pokémon MMO game...
Sorry, I don't usually go passed 720p. Unless it's a video of captured direct feed. Sharper is better, but I'm not convinced this video is about showing off the fact that Wii U has the best graphics.
I believe the one thing that people don't notice is that Nintendo isn't trying to make a "serious" gaming system for competitive play. They still want to implement that fun factor that keeps them different from microsoft and sony. I have doubted nintendo in the past. I was one of those people who thought the "wii remote" was a horrible idea and that it would never sell. But later on, it started to grow on me and then sold by the millions. Now let's see what happens for the Wii U.
Here from the future where people ignore the term “console” is mentioned in this video alone to perpetuate the narrative that Nintendo didn’t message that Wii U was a successor to Wii.
It's only $300. An extra 50 for add ons. NintendoLand. And better memory (4x). Just for 50 more dollars. I say get the deluxe pack since that's pretty generous of Nintendo. And the PS4's coming out in 2014. I'm not gonna wait for that long without something to play.
